Alerting The Media: Hugh Hewitt Show, 7 pm CT

posted at 4:55 pm on April 30, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

I’ll be on the Hugh Hewitt Show tonight, speaking with Hugh’s guest host Dean Barnett, at 7 pm CT. The topic? Barack Obama’s repudiation of Jeremiah Wright and its consequences. Dean writes at the Worldwide Standard as one of the fine writers from the Weekly Standard magazine, and often fills in for Hugh. You can catch the show on its stream at Townhall or at AM 1280 The Patriot, and you can call and join the conversation at 800-520-1234.

Is he still shilling for Romney?

jgapinoy on April 30, 2008 at 5:01 PM

Mitt. Romney.

ZRyan on April 30, 2008 at 5:02 PM

Yes, Hugh, Romney’s candidacy seems dead, but

jgapinoy on April 30, 2008 at 5:03 PM

Hugh is great! He is honest and if people don’t like Romney that is your problem. Hugh admits he is for Romney unlike the MSM who pretends to be fair but are in the tank with Obama or Clinton. Besides Romney is much much better than McCain. What we’ve got is a loser because people are full of hatred with Romney’s religion. Remember he is has a good family, been married to the same woman.

Ed gets more radio time than anyone!

lorien1973 on April 30, 2008 at 5:11 PM

Ed, I dare you to somehow work the phrase “not to be trusted as an analyst” into the conversation.

Hugh sort of lost me with the Meyers and Romney situations. He did not come off as very credible with either case.

However, I do like his show when I get a chance to hear it. He has some great guests.

When is Allah gonna be on the radio, so we can all laugh at his voice?

Hugh Hewitt woke up this morning, and you know who that benefits? Mitt Romney.

steadyrock on April 30, 2008 at 5:35 PM

What’s so wrong with being smitten with Mittens?

I think Mitt lost because he is a recent convert to conservatism.

jgapinoy on April 30, 2008 at 6:22 PM

Has he gotten over Mitt yet?

McCain would benefit greatly from having a real conservative–more so than Mitt–as his Vice President. An old President will look like a lame duck from the start. He has to give Democrats in Congress some incentive to deal with him, and not just wait for the calendar to finish him off.

Barnett is slobbering over Andrew Sullivan. Who knew?

Dandruff doesn’t sparkle. I think it’s glitter.

Mitt is very successful and that is why a lot of people are envious. He is good looking and very smart. There is nothing wrong with being a convert to conservatism. We should convert everyone and the country will benefit.

Don’t you think he should remain a conservative for a while before we elect him VP? What if he changes his mind again & goes back to his Massachusetts ways?

jgapinoy on April 30, 2008 at 8:38 PM

And you know who comes out looking good after this?
Mitt Romney

carbon_footprint on April 30, 2008 at 9:16 PM

I think Mitt lost because he is a recent convert to conservatism.

Whereas McCain is considering converting to conservatisim on a trial basis in a few years.

Jeeze Loueeze only here can a simple post which mentions Hugh Hewitt turn into a Mitt bashing free for all!

I love listening to Hugh. He made no bones about being for Romney – get over it people.

Ed, I was so glad to hear Dean yesterday; it is wonderful that he is back in good health. But, sorry, I had to stop listening before you came on so I missed hearing you…
