I think the bigger problem here is our assuming that the Liberals actually care about the truth. The larger body of evidence suggests otherwise.

Spot on. It's hard to view the world through a liberals eye and compete with their perspective.

Must we also disregard facts, reality and truth in order to know thy enemy? Heh

Why would you sit and listen to a crazy person talk for 20 years unless its just for the comedic and entertainment value.. the more important question is why let your kids listen to it?

No explanation needed, just watch the video. I could have added more flips and flops but you get the picture.

Jimmy the Greek was fired from CBS for racist rants about slaves being bred for physical ability, his wacko postulate explaining the success of 20th century African American athletes. The liberals (and really most of us) dismissed Jimmy Snyder as a racist and a clown.

Here we are twenty years later. Liberals are marching side-by side with racists: Rev. Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Hussein Obama.

What would the liberals think of Jimmy the Greek now?

The crucial question is, how many voters will be fooled by Obama’s denunciation of Wright, and how many will question Obama’s sincerity and wonder what Obama really believes?

To answer your questions: In the African American and white liberal community, the majority will be fooled. The notion of "hope" and "change" transcends.

Here's what I think Obama really believes in: Being elected to the Presidency of the United States of America by any means necessary.

I find it very hard to believe that Obama sat in the pews of that church listening to Wright every week for 20 years, and never heard anything that offended him until yesterday. Obama gave more than $20,000 to Wright's church in 2006, and again in 2007 (while he was running for President), and the "chickens coming home to roost" speech dates back to 2001. Since Obama was already a U.S. Senator in 2006, somebody in that church must have mentioned to Obama about the inflammatory speeches and that giving Wright thousands of dollars might not look good for his political future! Unless, of course, Obama approved of what Wright said, and wanted him to continue...

Then there's the speech in San Francisco, where Obama claims that "bitter" small-town people "cling to their religion". Obama clings to his religion (Wright) to the tune of $40K plus, which he gives to his idea of God, and wants to become our "Caesar".

Obama probably hopes that he can convince voters that he never heard "appalling" comments from Wright before yesterday, and change the subject. Most likely, Obama heard these things before, maybe agreed with them, and hoped that he could hide Wright until the election, and is denouncing Wright to save his political career. The crucial question is, how many voters will be fooled by Obama's denunciation of Wright, and how many will question Obama's sincerity and wonder what Obama really believes?

Wright calls Farrakhan a great man. Farrakhan calls Hitler a great leader. Barry calls Wright a great leader.

All that evidence points to the fact that Barry is not a great leader.

I'm beginning to believe this entire thing, Rev. Wright comments at NPC and Barry's presser yesterday, has been cooked up between the two of them.

There's nothing new here. Barry's a politician. I have not "hope" that he will ever "change."

This article puts Obama's line of "This is not the Wright I know"into context:

REV. JEREMIAH A. WRIGHT, JR.: Pastor inspires Obama's 'audacity'
By Manya A. Brachear | Tribune religion reporter
January 21, 2007

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/custom/religion/chi-070121-relig_wright,1,271630.story?page=1&ctrack=1&cset=true&coll=chi-religion-topheadlines

Obama says that rather than advising him on strategy, Wright helps keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated.

"What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice," Obama said. "He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics."

"He's not a hypocrite," Hopkins said. "You know what he says behind closed doors, he'll say in the pulpit."

A young child would not by this bullsh#t line of "I didn't
know"coming from the Obama camp and his sheep.

This tactic is going to come back knock him down like a thousand pound boomerang.

Tactical move, pure and simple. Obaaammmaaaa can't cut himself from a mentor like Wright who is woven into the fabric of the man, and hasn't, no more than Hillary can her own birds of a feather.

These people BELIEVE exactly to their cores what their mentors tell them. Everything else is tactics. So Ed, while I didn't think before Obaaaammmaa was making rookie errors, I have talked myself into agreement with you.

It is fortunate he is a rookie and less able to hide his agenda and bigotry (not just race-based, either) than the more skillfull but fairly transparent Hillary.

It could also be he is so enraptured with the majesty of his own ideas, so attuned to the echo chamber he lives in and has on his staff, he simply doesn't understand how far off the cliff he and his fellow travelers are. Ignorance, to dumb/proud to know understand how out of tune they are.

Either way, Wright will continue, directly or indirectly, fo feed and inform Hussein's inner man. He has so little else, IMO, and can't now admit it...has to hide his emptiness.

I honestly believe that all Maverick should do is keep his head down, not fall asleep during the debates, or take a swing at any of the hundreds of moronic reporters who will try to trip him up.
This will be an Angry White Man election.
The makings of a 40 state McCain route are in place if (when) the Dims make this snake oil salesman their candidate.

Obama is really an insincere guy. Like other Dems, he will say anything or toss out anyone to get elected.

So when does he start claiming that he never heard his wife say any of the clunkers she's spouted? Maybe he'll dump her by November?

This just keeps getting better.

Obambi, "He was never my spiritual mentor, he was my pastor."

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but what is every pastor on this planet, if not a spiritual mentor? It is the very definition of a pastor.

Oh, man! I have never heard that video before. Hilarious blackspeak, keepin' it real for the brotherhood! "You wearin' a suit today, Rev!" Yeah, Rev, where's the dashiki?

What a fuc*ing joke.

At this stage of the game, I am greatful that Barrack has such an open and honest posse; his wife and his spiritual advisor, as well as his financial advisor, Rezko. If it weren't for their food-fight to get to the microphone first, we wouldn't know anything about this clown. You are who you hang with.

Obama needed Wright to jump-start his career as a politician in Chicago, in the same way he needed to vote "present" in the Illinois State Senate on key divisive issues to make himself a viable candidate for president.

His problem is while he's calculating about what it took to get Barak Obama ahead in the world of politics, he wasn't ruthless enough in his decisions didn't dump Wright in March, after his first comments came out and he had outlived his usefulness to the campaign (he could have dumped him earlier, especially after last year's initial Rolling Stone interview or reports on Wright about Sean Hannity, but the reverend still was an asset to Obama at the time in showing his "blackness" to the more radical in the African-American community and prying them away from the clutches of the Clintons, who at this time in 2007 were still presumed to have most black voters and key legislators locked up for her 2008 campaign).

Given a similar situation, Hillary would have tossed a radioactive supporter under the bus months ago, if he or she got in the way of her hopes for power. Obama didn't learn that lesson and still hasn't learned it, since he's yet to make any similar denunciation of William Ayers, even though that association threatens to hurt Barak down the road almost as much as his connection with Wright has in the past month.

Christ’s Church is not a racist church of black people, or of white people.

So I respectfully request, Rev. Wright, Rev. Sharpton, Rev. Jackson, etc., please stop race baiting and mocking the very God you claim to worship.

he spent. 26,000 isn’t even ten percent of his income

The Obama's had to earn about $50K to give the $26K... you know, taxes and all.

Then Michele complains about the high cost of college loans and dance lessons and piano classes and tuning the darn thing and tutus and then gives what it took them $50K to earn to a church that would have those same children treated as completely different in American society due to their "right brained" based victimology, etc.

Are their mirrors in the Obama home?
