Neither can stop pointing out their “blackness”, which is no way to unify a country nor to open any dialogue, which neither wants.

End of story.

I am warning everybody now. This latest dust up with Rev. Wright is all a coordinated setup by the Obama campaign staff!

Obama tried for the “It was all a mischaracterization of Rev. Wright. He’s a nice guy. I won’t denounce him.” That didn’t sell. His internal polling and focus groups showed that the public was not buying the story since Obama had been a loyal church member for 20 years. Obama was losing ground. And it would hurt him in November!

Obama needed to find a “quick exit”. But how do you denounce Wright when you have already refused to do so????? Well, you need Wright to say something even more outrageous and then denounce that. As Obama’s loyal counselor, mentor and Pastor who presided over his wedding and the baptism of his children, Rev. Wright was willing. So Pastor Jeremiah came out of hiding (where he had passed up some honorary awards) and calls a series of press conferences and issues some more outrageous comments.

Quick like a rabbit, Obama denounces the “latest statements”. He then denounces Sharpton. Then Obama calls a press conference to “answer the questions about Rev. Wright”. Gee. Who would have guessed?!?!?!?!?!?!

Thi is such an obvious sham, it is hilarious that anyone is buying into it! Obama merely wants to dispose of the Rev. Wright issue by denouncing him. But he needed a new provocation in order to justify it. And Wright gave him the opening. And undoubtedly they planned it together! . . .

Why are you all missing this? Obama has the nomination locked. This is the final move to prepare for the general election. Dump Wright. Dump Sharpton. Dump Jesse. Then they all meet after the election and toss back a few scotches and call for women and cigars! Big con job on America! How else could Obama unload the “Rev. Wright scandal” from around his neck? He had to have a premise! So he asked Wright to fall on his sword, and Jeremiah complied!. Anyone buying into this is simply blind!

Very interesting theory. But it only works if people really buy Obambi’s ‘denunciation’. I’m not sure they will. It looks just like a desperation move by a politician, nothing more. And of course, that’s what it is. “You can fool some of the poeople some of the time. . .”

It may be fifteen minutes for Pastor Wright, but it probably feels like an eternity for Obama.

Wright is a demagogue indulging in fallacious argument. If someone objects to his damning of America, claiming America had it coming on Sep 11, or that the government invented AIDS to kill blacks, he asks if the questioner heard the whole sermon. It’s the old demagogues trick of setting an impossible test for the other side to meet. It’s cunning but intellectually dishonest.

Likewise, Wright evades responsibility for his own remarks by claiming that his critics are not targeting him but black churches in general. More evasion from a demagogue.

And this is the same rhetoric and demagoguery the Left has employed with great success against the Right for decades. It’s very amusing and satisfying to see radicals like Wright hoisted on their own rhetoric for all the world to see and hear and realize that he’s nuttier than a walnut tree and his congregation probably is too, including Obama.

Gingrich is the funny one in all of this. He is asking, “Is Rev. Wright trying to undermine Obama”? Of course not! the Pastor is doing Obama a favor. Its a coordinated kabuki dance. Obama said he listened to Rev Wright on tape when Obama was at Columbia. Obama sought out Wright when he moved to Chicago.

And don’t forget: hid Wright in the basement and prayed with him before going out on stage (where Wright was not allowed to be, lest he be seen) to announce to the public his candidacy for President.

Hillary will win Indiana by 10-20 and NC. She doesn’t even have to say anything, and thanks to Rush we will have a viper to deal with in November rather than a sheep.

I vote for the unencumbered First Amendment rights for Reverend Wright–unrestricted air time until November 5. Senators John McCain and Hillary Clinton would probably be delighted…

In reading the pieces, their ire and scorn come exclusively because of the damage he does to Barack Obama, and with the exception of the Post editorial, not because what he says is ridiculous. . .

Why? Because with minor exceptions, the Left actually believes the same tripe that Jeremiad is spouting: September 11th was our fault, blacks are still enslaved (or at least victims), Amerika is USA of KKK, the CIA is capable of inventing AIDS to kill off all the Africans, etc., etc.

As long as this vile ideology doesn’t hurt Obambi, they’re perfectly happy with it.
