Sadly, this is the mindset of much of America. They probably think harder when deciding which coffee they want at Starbucks in the morning than they do about their vote. The choose based on snippets and blurbs. My beloved mother is one example, she is stuck on stupid with the “100 years war” concept.

I can’t wait to pull out the over-used “selected, not elected!” chant and spit it back in the face of the Libs that recite it regularly. If Obama gets the nod, the MI/FL voters will cry. If Clinton gets it Wright’s followers will claim racism. Either way, one of the two Dem supporting groups will be whining, it will be so fun to watch. :-)

No kidding, you don’t have to spell it out for us Mr. Wright, we are smart enough to figure out such things on our own. Most of us aren’t members of your former church.

The two of them are daring America not to vote for Obama.

As another Hotair reader pointed out, black abortions have killed more african-americans since Roe v. Wade than AIDS, cancer, and car accidents combined. And this punk “preacher” supports the vessel that ensures that this trend continues.

I think Faraway may be on to something. Wright is so heavily invested in the grievance industry that for him, getting a black man elected President is not only impossible but also undesirable. Probably the only good thing to come out of an Obama win would be that the Wrights of the world would have nothing left to whine about.

My thoughts exactly, if Obama is elected then Wright and his fellow race baiters will be out of business.

Either way, Obama is not going to win the general and may be finished as a presidential contender. I suspect the rage merchants will be selling a lot of stuff in the aftermath but will be test marketing between now and then.

I think everyone here is missing it. Pride. It’s Wright’s ego that’s driving him. He can’t shut up to save Obama or himself.

It is pride allright. Pride that he can preach to a whitey audience about how bad they are and have them give him standing-O’s. This is his ultimate validation as a grievance-monger and he cannot turn away from it… it’s like hitting 80 home runs in a season to him!

I don’t understand this at all. Rev Wright almost seems bent on destroying Obama’s chances. The only explanation that seems plausible to me is outright stupidity. Could Wright really be this clueless? Or am I missing something?

Well, having Obama lose would validate his idea that this is a racist, horrible country. He`d get more milage out of a lose than a win.

In response to Allah’s question, it is emphatically not time to call off Operation Chaos. At this stage, the only way Hillary can possibly secure the nomination is to lose a close race among pledge delegates while persuading the superdelegates to “steal” the election for her. It will be Sore/Loserman all over again, only this time it will pit half of the Democratic Party against the other half, with party bosses facing the impossible task of convincing the two warring camps to quickly unite against a common enemy who most Democrats never perceived as much of an enemy in the first place. Hillary can’t possibly beat McCain under those circumstances, which today’s polls do not take into account.

Further, when picking one’s poison (as if it were ours to pick anyway), it’s a mistake to consider only the relative probabilities of two undesirable outcomes without also considering how much worse one scenario would be than the other if either were to materialize. An Obama nomination may be less likely to result in the Dems taking the White House, but an Obama loss in the general is by no means a sure thing. I’d almost prefer to take my chances with four more years of President Billary than give President Obama have any chance whatsoever.

For Wright to say the attacks are not against him, but against the black church tells me all I need to know. A statement like that is designed to get and keep blacks stirred up, enraged, and hating whites. The attack is against Wright and the inflammatory things he has said. I’ve been to many black churches, including Trinity, and the vast majority of them focus on scripture (as they should) with a little politics thrown in every once in a while. Which is why I never went back to Trinity. There was way too much focus on politics and not enough on scripture.

I say “Rev. Wright, take your lumps like a man, and stop trying to drag black churches down with you.”

But, he won’t, for the very reason below
