Wright: Obama criticized me in order to get elected

I gave him the benefit of the doubt last week when he danced around this question with Moyers. No more. Here’s his clarification, making it very clear that he meant just what his critics thought he meant, that one shouldn’t take the Messiah’s not-so-high dudgeon over his sermons too seriously since he’ll say whatever he needs to say to get elected.
Geraghty, among others, thinks he’s sinking Obama’s campaign. My pessimism makes me skeptical, but Ambinder argues that Wright has Team Barry boxed in: The nuttier he sounds, the fewer options they have except to hope that he eventually comes off as so nutty that no one would seriously think Obama agrees with him. Is a Sistah Souljah moment in the offing? If it is, it means The Speech That Saved America didn’t really save America since he’ll have needed a second take to get it (w)right. Exit question: Is it time to suspend Operation Chaos?

Wright is purposely undermining Obama. He wants Obama to lose. This will vindicate everything he has ever preached from his pulpit.
The two of them are daring America not to vote for Obama.
I can think of no other reason for all of this.

No kidding, you don’t have to spell it out for us Mr. Wright, we are smart enough to figure out such things on our own. Most of us aren’t members of your former church.

Hannity says Wright might be writing a book, with the requisite book tour to come later this year.
Will Obama get Rezko to buy a bunch of copies?

They’re laughing AT you, not WITH you, Reverend.

when your opponent is weak, you keep pounding the weak spot until he crumbles.

Sadly, this is the mindset of much of America. They probably think harder when deciding which coffee they want at Starbucks in the morning than they do about their vote. The choose based on snippets and blurbs. My beloved mother is one example, she is stuck on stupid with the “100 years war” concept.
I can’t wait to pull out the over-used “selected, not elected!” chant and spit it back in the face of the Libs that recite it regularly. If Obama gets the nod, the MI/FL voters will cry. If Clinton gets it Wright’s followers will claim racism. Either way, one of the two Dem supporting groups will be whining, it will be so fun to watch. :-)

So much good stuff in that clip. Like, why was Sarah Jessica Parker moderating?
Bronze: Wright reads Huffpo.
Silver: Hey, some of my best friends are white Jews!
Gold: after Rev. Wright (so wright he ain’t right!) drops the VP joke. The three Afro-Americans in the shot aren’t overly enthused – the guy looks like he’d rather be listening to anything else – it’s the beardy white dude laughing his ass off. I wonder what he thinks of Ameri-KKK-a. In context, of course.
