Your question pre-supposes that America… George Bush.. Is to blamed for the poor relations with Venezuela.

You can put 100% of the blame on Dear Leader Hugo. Until he took power, our relations with Venezuela were superb.

The “Evil Mister Danger BOOOSH” isn’t to blame.

Their thug communist dictator is the one that manufactured ALL of the problems Venezuela THINKS it has with the US…. In order to provide the straw man of an external threat so that he can continue to hold power.

Little known fact: The poor taxpayers of New Mexico were actually giving Kim Jong Il some sort of ‘foreign aid’ after Richardson’s visit to NK two years or so ago.

We have never been able to find out exactly how much or in what form Li’l Kim got paid off, but it happened. We didn’t come out empty handed though… As part of the ‘cultural exchange program’ A couple of North Korean doctors came to New Mexico to teach the latest NK surgical techniques to the surgeons at Lovelace Hospital (Which is considered one of the best small hospitals in the US.)

Yeah, we made out like banditos on that deal, I’m sure…

Would you please convey that to New Mexico voters? He is the Latin Messiah to that backwards state. My poor folks and many decent (conservative) relatives live there, and they too are snowed by him for some reason.

I see he had you fooled too. Well, It is a large group, so you aren’t alone.

I’m not all that perceptive about people…. It usually takes whacking me upside the head with (the equivalent of ) a 2X4 before I can see their true character.

I’ll be called a liar for this as well, but I’ve known Richardson since ‘82, when he was running for Congress… I knew he was a total liberal, and a complete snake within five minutes of meeting him at a party (held by my boss and sorta’ mentor who was a hot-shot consultant working to spin off technologies developed at the National Labs (Los Alamos, Sandia, etc) into private industry).

Why the rest of the country can’t see Richardson for what he is, is astonishing to me.

Big John just wait until our people are expelled from Manta to see real socialism lift them out of the dirt. Not. Given that Obama’s opinions on foreign policy mirrors those of the world leaders the moderates want to like them (Western Europe and Latin America), you can expect such announcements to be a net positive for Ellsworth.

I’m sort of hoping McCain gets on the proverbial stick and starts pointing out that in France Sarkozy recently elected, and the biggest America fan in the French gov’t’s employ since, hell, La Fayette… and it seems to me a certain fellow named Berlusconi just won big in Italy… and there is this guy named Harper in Canada that certainly wasn’t the Liberal candidate running for office in the “Goiter on our Northern Border”.

Feel free to add to my list of leaders that like us, really like us. So often the media gets used to saying something, or like saying what they hope to be true. Stuff like, “Everyone loved us for two weeks after 9/11 and then we squandered that love, blah, blah”… and so it goes.

Oftentimes it takes a Presidential candidate to shake loose the truth from the everyday, unconsidered, aphorisms of a news media that seems to have quit thinking long ago, sadly.
