I laughed, but it was mixed with tears and sadness.
The man is truly a class act and I feel it’s an end of an era in more ways than one. He has withstood so much more than any other President in recent history, yet NEVER given much credit for what he has done RIGHT.
He has always been a true patriot and LOVES this country with all his heart, which he proudly wears on his sleeve.

God Bless you Mr.President.

I remember the Clintons and the Gores parading on the first day of their administration to the “Fanfare for the Common Man”… what ironic pretension!

And the Craig Ferguson clips were pretty funny too. It was very gratifying to see the digs on the press go right over their heads while I recognized each one. Proof that a comedian is smarter than a journalist, and humor is the universal language, reaching many more folks than any news media possible.

President Bush is one of the funniest, and probably most fun guys to be around I have ever seen. There is no possible way there is an evil bone in his body. Only a blind person can fail to see that George W Bush is an honest, decent Man, with the ability to laugh at himself, make fun of the dumb things he may have done, find the lightheartedness in 8 yrs of difficult circumstances, and absolutely, positively LOVES every Man and Woman in the uniform of this country. I am 100% convinced that he feels every loss personally, and that he grieves harder than all except the immediate families of our dead and wounded over their loss.

He is a fine Man, and one I will be proud to have had in charge of my country, and my service, even if only for a short time. And I would follow him to Hell and Back. Where he leads, I would gladly follow.

I love that man. And I am going to miss the Bush Administration years. W and Cheney are the genuine articles, and the nation will come to realize the unstinting service they have given to our country. True patriots.

Best line: That he and Dick will be forming their own band, the Bastards from Hell.
