like every other issue, he stabs conservatives in the back. and he’ll appoint souter-like judges, no doubt about it.

I agree with you. With Obama or Clinton, you get more Justice Ginsbergs (John Edwards, perhaps?). With McCain, you get more Souters. With Mike Huckabee, you get more Roberts, Alitos, Thomases, and Scalias.

John McCain does not deserve the Republican nomination, and by the grace of God Mike Huckabee will be the next POTUS.

I assume “right4life” means that you are pro-life. If that is true, you can’t in good conscience vote for Hillary. She voted:
- Against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban
- Against the confirmation of John Roberts
- Against the confirmation of Samuel Alito

Voting for Hillary is being an accessory to murder.

(Ditto for Obama)

Red Pill on April 26

McCain is not pro-life, please. you need to look at his record, not his words.

In a Jan. 7, 1992, letter to Arizona's major pro-life group, McCain promised to support President Bush's ban on federal funding of such abortion-dependent research. I have no intention of supporting the use of fetal tissue resulting from artificially induced abortions for research purposes," McCain wrote.

A few months later, however, McCain began voting to overturn Bush's pro-life policy-a drive that succeeded

after President Clinton took office. As recently as 1997, McCain led the way in defeating a pro-life amendment offered by Sen. Dan Coats (R.Ind.) that would have placed some limits on federal funding of abortion-dependent fetal tissue research.

One example-the subject of another ad-is what McCain said when he met with the editorial board of the very liberal San Francisco Chronicle on August 19: "I'd love to see a point where it [Roe v. Wade] is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations."

His third divorce. Is breaking wedding vows before God and community, “conservative”?

Several times over the past few months, he’s clearly insinuated that he’s spent the night with one of his stable of women.

Which again, is his business. I’m not condemning him. Before I got married, I lived a similar lifestyle. And I knew it wasn’t conservative.

glad to see you're holier than thou!

I can see why you like captain Queeg mccain, he thinks he knows whats best for everyone else too, like with mccain feingold.

yeah thats real conservative, telling everyone else how to live.

pharisee.

Well, if supporting idiotic big government ideas like border fences and at the same tauting Democrats for higher office makes one a “conservative”, then call me liberal.

you ARE a liberal. Anyone against the border fence, which has been proven to work is an open-border liberal.

as far as a 'democrat' for higher office, what do you think mccain is??? get a clue...mccain IS a democrat

He has some things in his past naturally, but I think Dems would get better results simply connecting him to the Republican party in general, especially Rove and his tactics. His popularity when others in his party are failing is due to his Maverick image in the media.

I am also losing interest in McCain. If the republican party wants to marginalize its conservative base then they need to get the message loud and clear. I will not support or vote for McCain and the consequences of the White House being taken over by the liberals is the RNC fault, not mine. I am beginning to think Hillery would make a better POTUS then McCain and would love to watch her get even with all her defectors during her 4 years in the White House. I believe it is time for the conservatives to draw a line in the sand. I will not compromise my core beliefs to appease the wussification of the Republican Party. No money, no support!

Check out the conservative candidates being supported by HuckPac. If you like what you see, send your money there to show your support. If HuckPac is more successful at fundraising than the RNC, maybe Juan McCain and the RNC will get the message.

Ask John McCain what he thinks this:

On Earth Day, Nancy Pelosi quoted the Bible: “The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’ On this Earth Day, and every day, let us honor the earth and our future generations with a commitment to fight climate change.”

Apparently, it’s a favorite verse of hers. She has used it in official statements on global warming, the budget, Martin Luther King Day, Christmas, and why she’s a Democrat.

Will John McCain condemn Nancy Pelosi?

John McCain has been all to happy to condemn conservatives in the past...we're the "Agents of Intolerance", remember?

WoW.
WTH does addiction have to do with a "conservative lifestyle"? That's got to be the most specious (read: dumb@ss) attack I've ever heard leveled at Rush.
But here's the thing that moots it: he. took. responsibility. THAT'S a conservative lifestyle.

Back to McCain:

Schwarzenegger’s success there shows it can be done.

Now who's out of touch with reality?! Arnold's a joke! CA's back to the budget deficits it faced when Beige Davis was recalled.
His stances on Goreball Warming, health care for illegals, and raising taxes in the face of declining tax revenues is right out of the Dem playbook.
*phew!*
I got out of CA just in time.

Please tell me exactly how actively campaigning against John McCain will get you your fence? Is Obama gonna build it?

And don't count on 2012. We haven't even predicted 2008 yet. Moreover, a Dem win in 2008 is not going to do anything towards getting George Soros to give up. It will also keep the on-credit relationship between the Democrat Party and its publicists, media hounds, and guys who follow candidates around waiting for them to say "macaca."

I like Rush and he talks the talk better than anyone, but he does not walk the walk.

NoDonkey on April 25, 2008 at 5:33 PM

I don't listen to Rush to examine his lifestyle, which has been messy, but then again, I'm not a 100% rock-solid social conservative. I am a conservative, however, and respect Rush for his solid and consistent fiscal and defense-based security views.
I have no problem with Rush. He's a genius, and has been more responsible for the conservative resurgence than any other living person.

As for that schmuck Huckabee, as we say down here in Texas, "I wouldn't p*ss on him if his face was on fire".

Cindy McCain’s little adventure

I didn't realize that Cindy McCain has offered herself a the beacon of conservatism, set to judge who and who is not conservative, like Rush has.

"if I had to live life that closely attached to John McCain."

Maybe, but if I had to attempt to please the completely unpleaseable "conservative" nutbag base as represented by the likes of many on this forum, I'd be shooting heroin.
