You think if Obama got a typical MSM question along the lines of “Oh Obama-Messiah, tell us again about the wonderfulness that is You!” he would have been so intent on eating his waffle? The Jimmah Carter question is an uncomfortable one, because Jimmah is a Superdelegate, and Obama wants that endorsement, but Jimmah is being a jerk. What is Obama to say?

“Rmmmphffffth” is about the best he can do at that point.

It sounds to me like Obama’s Waffles… are Coming Home… To ROOST!

Had Thompson done this during the (R) primaries, right wing bloggers would have been buzzing for days over his awesomely prickly folksiness and willingness to stick it to the MSM. What’s good enough for the goose should be good enough for the gander. If the left wants to ridicule George Bush for wiping out on his bike or choking on a nut (wasn’t it?), then we get to make fun of Obama for being rude and inaccesible while eating a waffle.

For the record, this is pretty much a non-story except that you can’t have it one way for one candidate and have it another for another. It cuts both ways.

P.S. He could have handled it with a little more class. But he didn’t.
