Video: How Hillary can still win

So crazy it just might work. Pros: It’s probably the only way she can outflank the vast left-wing conspiracy. Cons: Then again, we’re talking about someone here who had no contingency plan in case she failed to wrap up the nomination by Super Tuesday. If contesting the caucus states was too difficult for her to grasp, disrupting the very fabric of space and time might be out of reach.

Exit question: Er, didn’t Hillary win New Hampshire?

1) If she loses will she divorce Bill?

2) If she loses will she (a) Run for governor of NY or (b) Stay in the Senate from now till the end of time like Ted Kennedy ?

D0WNT0WN on April 20, 2008 at 3:11 PM

There is a flaw in this strategy. The Confederacy was formed largely over the fight over the expansion of slavery. This would not have been an issue without the Louisiana purchase. So she will not be able to destroy with Louisiana purchase without also destroying the civil war.

On the other hand, if the south is intact and no Emancipation proclamation is made, the argument can be made that Obama would not be allowed to run based upon the color of his skin.

Is that Hell freezing over or just the effects of climate change?

second digit on April 20, 2008 at 3:17 PM

Hillary should go back a little further in time…and stop the Revolutionary War. Then, she could run for Queen!

JetBoy on April 20, 2008 at 3:17 PM

Hillary’s need list is longer than a 6 year old’s want list of things for Santa to bring on Christmas. Both of the Democratic POTUS candidates are far more “out of touch” than anyone could correctly presume McCain to be.

maverick muse on April 20, 2008 at 3:18 PM

I sense another “good cry” moment coming.

RobCon on April 20, 2008 at 3:23 PM

Somewhere in America this strategy is being seriously proposed to her. Tin foil and all.

Limerick on April 20, 2008 at 3:29 PM

At this point I think that HildaBeast’s last and best hope is to Vince Foster Obama.

MB4 on April 20, 2008 at 3:29 PM

She’s screwed. Everybody knows that blacks will basically riot if she steals this from Obama. The Dems can’t win an election unless they get 90% black vote like they usually do.
Not that I want it, but she should go back to the Senate and hope that BO loses. Then she can try again in four years. She’s not that old.

Kini on April 20, 2008 at 3:34 PM

Wouldn’t it be easier to just get Illinois kicked out of the Union?

Limerick on April 20, 2008 at 3:35 PM

She’ll lose the primary and try to run as McCain’s VP, on a center-right/independent ticket. This thought is torturing me lately.

Entelechy on April 20, 2008 at 3:36 PM

In any event, if she loses the primaries, she’ll undermine Obama, no matter what they, the Clintons, say publicly. She will have to run again in 2012, and under Obama couldn’t, unless he messes up royally, should he win.

With McCain she can/will run in 2012. But this is long not over, no way. These are the Clintons. We’ve been ‘nailing’ her coffin shut for a long time now.

Entelechy on April 20, 2008 at 3:39 PM

Hire a hooker for Obama…wait that will just help…have him take money from lobbyists…no that didn’t work…have him chum up to terrorists…no that didn’t work…have him place a racist on his campaign staff…no that didn’t work…have him sit on a board with a un-repentent domestic terrorist…no that didn’t work…have him smoking…that may work, but not yet…have him appear to have done nothing significant in congress…no, that didn’t work…have him not understand the middle east…no that failed…I know, expose his lack of knowledge on economics…darn, that failed also…slime his opponent, use the “race card”, take money from suspect people, have his wife go out and race bait, have his wife diss America…I know, have his spiritual leader be a racist and an American hater…what that didn’t work.
Well, it is too late to educate the liberals, so we can just hope for the undecided.

Chances of Barry/Hillary?

Limerick on April 20, 2008 at 3:42 PM

It’s actually easier than the video argues. Eliminate the Louisiana Purchase and Barack Obama will have no senate seat, meaning he will have no soapbox from which to induce “change.”

Hillary is history! Or, hillstory!

Oh my. I see that you did.

Seriously, Entelechy, to accomplish that extraordinary feat of triangulation, she would have to be …er … a Clinton, for Christssake!

I never got the impression she likes being a Senator but rather it was simple her prerequisite for running for POTUS.

The Bill and Ted reference was brilliant.

10%, or not much, for obvious reasons, on both their parts.

a Clinton, for Christssake!

hillbillyjim on April 20, 2008 at 3:55 PM

You said it. They are who they are. It’s a crazy, though not impossible idea, given McCain and her ‘love-affaire’. Though, I believe more in my 2n comment scenario, that she’ll run again in 2012, thus preferring McCain to win, if she loses the primary.

Good to see you back hillbillyjim. I said that in another thread too. All the best,

Entelechy on April 20, 2008 at 4:32 PM

EJDolbow on April 20, 2008 at 4:14 PM

I agree. I can’t imagine what she will do if she fails to get the nomination. No equivalent comes to mind. Al Gore was kinda in the same mode most of his life. He has slipped into the loon bin. What might her life’s work be if she looses ?

JonRoss on April 20, 2008 at 4:37 PM

And what is going to happen to Bill ? His life has been focused on Hillary’s election as POTUS. After they are divorced I could see him turning up in Central Park early one morning on crank or maybe beat up by some high priced call girl. The fun has just begun.

JonRoss on April 20, 2008 at 4:43 PM

Why not go back into time and marry a decent guy, stay home, bake cookies and raise children. The world would have been a better place.

Get fat, grow a beard and start alarming Democrats about the global crisis of women losing their hard fought “gains” of the past 50 years? Global Maning?

Entelechy on April 20, 2008 at 3:39 PM

Try using silver nails next time. One of my colleagues Dr. Van Helsing said that should do the trick. He also said to put lots of garlic on and around the coffin too just to be sure.

Possible. Possible. Maybe she will write a book about her life and title it “An Inconvenient Man”.

JonRoss on April 20, 2008 at 4:56 PM

Strongholds in the West? Last time I checked Hillary took the two biggest states west of the Louisiana purchase – TX and California!

Obama cannot win the big states, which is all good news for the GOP come november!

I predict that by the time this wraps up in Denver, millions of people will never want to look popcorn in the eye again.

Imagine waking up tomorrow and hearing this……

“We’ve run a good campaign, now it’s time to unite the party. Go home people, get back to your families, it’s clear that we will not win. I will let the will of the people decide what is right for this country, and graciously step aside. I will finish my term as Senator, and then fade away with honor into American history. Maybe I can be of some service in the future, but I will not any longer try to run the lives of every single American….. Sen. Hillary Clinton”

………… in a pig’s eye!

Not that I want it, but she should go back to the Senate and hope that BO loses.

Its quite possible that this is her conscious goal. It would explain some of her actions. Everyone said her 3am ad was perfect for McCain. Quite possibly this was her intention.

aengus on April 20, 2008 at 6:59 PM

Exactly right folks! Hillary knows this one is over. It’s cut and slash, scorched earth policy now. She will stay in and damage Barry as much as possible for as long as possible to make McCain’s job easier. Then make a run at knocking him off in 2012.

conservnut on April 20, 2008 at 7:23 PM

One word the silly video & all of the comments neglected to mention: super-delegates.
That’s how Hill will win the Dem nomination.

If actual time travel doesn’t work for her, she can always try lying about traveling back in time. Enough Democrats might believe her for her to pull it off. They believe truckloads of hooey all the time, so why not that?

That is one of the funniest videos ever.

jgapinoy on April 20, 2008 at 8:17 PM

He also won Missouri,Louisiana, and Alaska and carried 21% of ALL Republican primary votes. A hateful smear campaign and Steve Forbe’s money is what killed Buchanan.
