Fortunately, the people declaring ideological impurity are not a large enough group to win a national election, nor are they capable of hiding their agenda long enough to fool enough people into voting for their candidate in a national election nor are they proficient enough with weapons to seize control forcibly, like their Bolshevik role models. They can safely be ignored and, if necessary, like when they get too close into your personal space, punched in the face. It sucks that the country has lost part of an entire generation to a foolish brand of politics that yields nothing good, but there’s precious little that can be done about it now. Kos’ readers skew older and childless. They’re a self-limiting coterie, kind of like the Shakers.

Much truth to this statement… Hillary could have all but destroyed the party back in the 90′s when BJ had his backside firmly planted against the wall, but she chose to protect BJ and her party so that she would have her moment in history. If you look back on Hillary’s comments during the early months of this campaign, she was boiling over with confidence; the nomination was clearly hers in her own mind. As the vote started to shift Obama’s way, Hillary’s words changed dramatically. I’m convinced that (in her mind) the DNC owed her this nomination as payoff for deeds done in the past. Reality time for Hillary when she first became aware that her party is full of people just like her, obsessed by the drug called “power”. The only guiding principle left in the Democrat Party is the quest for complete power; Hillary was/is just a tool. Reality is a bitch sometimes.

Wasn’t it a MoveOn goon squad that invaded that GOP headquarters down in Florida back in ’04 and trashed the place…in broad daylight with campaign workers sitting at their desks during the attack?
