8 p.m. ET on ABC. Wright, Bittergate, Tuzla, oil PACs — all of it likely to come up in the first 20 minutes, followed by another dreary, interminable hour of talking points and razor-thin distinctions drawn between their almost indistinguishable policies. She has to swing hard and he likes to counterpunch, so we may, at long last, have an honest to goodness Operation Chaos-brand cage match to entertain us. Is there any hope left for our gal? Not much, but some:
When asked how superdelegates should decide which candidate to support, nearly half of Democrats said they should follow the overall popular vote, while just one in eight said the number of delegates won in primaries and caucuses should be the deciding factor. Nearly four in 10 said superdelegates should choose the candidate they think is the best.
Other polls point to the state popular vote as being the favored metric, which isn’t quite as good but ain’t bad either. Liveblogging to commence below shortly, video to follow later if there’s anything clipworthy. Sound off if you’re watching.

..and forget alternative fuels… Ethanol is already causing the WORLD extreme shortages of food yet producing NO results!
MsUnderestimated on April 16, 2008 at 9:42 PM
How about building a new refinery or 12, considering we haven’t built any in about 30 years? Maybe that might help gas prices. Or how about drilling for more oil, like in ANWR or offshore?
ReubenJCogburn on April 16, 2008 at 9:42 PM
Priceless…
Obama would seek councle from Bush 41 because Clinton is her husband, Carter is meeting with terrorist, and all that leaves is the two bush presidents.
Priceless!

Barrack seeks George Bush Sr.,instead of Jr.,for advice

This debate and the questions are putting all the debate on CNN and MSNBC to shame.

MB4, were you a BM B4?
MsUnderestimated on April 16, 2008 at 9:45 PM
Is it just me or has Barry tried to steer that boat of his back to the middle of a river a bit? He knows he will have to in the general. Seems like he is positive he has the nomination.

I’m done. I have to get back to my homeless shelter. Worst economy in World history, you know…. My McDonald’s minimum-wage job was shipped off to Guatemala. I feel so sorry for our old customers. It’s such a long drive now. I hope they carpool to save gas….
RBMN on April 16, 2008 at 9:45 PM
Yes… refineries, drilling in ANWR and off the coast of Florida, windmills off the coast of Nantucket, nuclear energy, etc., would help the US situation altogether, but the enviro-mentalists won’t have any of that.
MsUnderestimated on April 16, 2008 at 9:46 PM
What do they say to them?
How much?
Limerick on April 16, 2008 at 9:47 PM
Is that a smile or smirkying Hillary!

…. and GW hasn’t been a fighter, Shrillary?
MsUnderestimated on April 16, 2008 at 9:48 PM
I would post something substantive here, but all I can produce is “WTF! How many lies and code words will be laid down as fact tonight!?!?!??”
Yes Charlie is throwing some heat, but gezz…the answers are so freaking weak. They actually admit socialism without saying the word.
If either of these two win, we are in for bleak times. It will not be like the clinton years.
We need to back our conservative congress members and soon “to be” members in order to balance the over taxation they are proposing.
This may become another revolution…it all started from taxation without representation. Sounds like it will become that way again!

This debate was soooo boring. I was listening to Savae and he’s spot on. All these idiots ever talk about is themselves and who will have power in America.
BKennedy on April 16, 2008 at 9:51 PM
So,Obama is claiming America has gone to Hell in a hand
basket, and he’s the ONLY one that can save it!

begging the American people!

I missed a lot of the first hour, which is the only way I managed to take it this far. Watching the Republican debates was bad enough, but watching these two Socialists lie and tapdance and say nothing substantive is like having a root canal.
ReubenJCogburn on April 16, 2008 at 9:53 PM
No.
Did you complete the full requirements for the first grade before being promoted to the second grade?
I take it that you are in one of those two grades, as that is what you sound like.
You must try to do better.
MB4 on April 16, 2008 at 9:53 PM
Hey, I haven’t forgotten you, socialists !!!
eeyore on April 16, 2008 at 9:53 PM
Hey, AP…can you put up the clip of Obama explaining his association with Wright? I missed it because my husband made me turn off the live feed I was watching during that part so he could play Call of Duty 4.
ScoopPC11 on April 16, 2008 at 9:56 PM
Kristy Lee Cook FINALLY got eliminated! Oh, are we talking about the debate? Never mind. Yeah, um…whatever Obama just said. Yeah, totally BS. I totally agree. What? I wasn’t watching Idol, I was watching the debate. Yeah, I agree Hillary totally misrepresented whatever she just talked about….
malan89 on April 16, 2008 at 9:57 PM
Smart man. Killing Germans is always more fun than getting lied to by the biggest liars in America.

Yes like that. That and a whole lot more. Read more of his book sometime, much more.
Also read the US Army War College Quarterly, Winter 1996-97, “Vietnam in Retrospect: Could We Have Won?” piece that I linked to.
You can do it.

See what I mean?
misterpeasea on April 16, 2008 at 10:12 PM
I stand corrected. I know the difference, but I had COD4 mixed with COD2, which I still regularly play. I NEVER played COD3, as it wasn’t developed by Infinity Ward. I heard it sucked anyhow.
malan89 on April 16, 2008 at 10:13 PM
This campaign is likely the most work either of these two have done in their lives…Not surprised they look exhausted. The actual Presidency would bury these two lightweights…
Nozzle on April 16, 2008 at 10:19 PM
I stand corrected.

Yes. She needs to tell the public more about her heroism when she was in the Marines in Bosnia and how she save fellow Marine PFC Sindbad’s life there. She should also tell the public, as she related to me when I had her in past life transgression hypnosis, about how in a past life she was Annie Oakley and how she along with George Patton fought off hordes of Giant Vikings lead by Chief Geronimo at the Alamo to save North America.
Sigy on April 16, 2008 at 10:23 PM
I played 4. 4 and 2 are great. It’s 3 that I don’t like.
malan89 on April 16, 2008 at 10:23 PM

This thing is just now airing on the West Coast. They had “Who wants to be a Millionaire” at the live time slot. I guess they want more people to see it, or don’t care at all.
Entelechy on April 16, 2008 at 11:09 PM
Gosh, she looks artificial, and her voice is shrill. Imagine 4-8 years of that. Better not.
Entelechy on April 16, 2008 at 11:10 PM
Wow! The Obama worshipers might just take up arms against ABC because you know they might be really bitter especially after their Messiah performed so poorly!
LOL!!!

McMaster was my son’s regimental commander. My boy would walk through hell barefoot for that man.
He also is one of the principle actors behind the tactics of the ’surge’.
Limerick on April 17, 2008 at 1:48 AM
Yet before the start of the Iraq war and during the early stages of the fighting, the Joint Chiefs once again fell silent. Justin Rosenbaum, the captain at Fort Knox who asked General Cody whether any generals would be held accountable for the failures in Iraq, said he was disturbed by this parallel between the two wars. “We’ve read the McMaster book,” he said. “It’s startling that we’re repeating the same mistakes.”
McMaster’s own fate has reinforced these apprehensions. President Bush has singled out McMaster’s campaign at Tal Afar as a model of successful strategy. Gen. David Petraeus, now commander of United States forces in Iraq, frequently consults with McMaster in planning his broader counterinsurgency campaign. Yet the Army’s promotion board — the panel of generals that selects which few dozen colonels advance to the rank of brigadier general — has passed over McMaster two years in a row.
McMaster’s nonpromotion has not been widely reported, yet every officer I spoke with knew about it and had pondered its implications. One colonel, who asked not to be identified because he didn’t want to risk his own ambitions, said: “Everyone studies the brigadier-general promotion list like tarot cards — who makes it, who doesn’t. It communicates what qualities are valued and not valued.”

I must ignore those so bereft of cognitive ability as to only be able to call names and throw poo like chimpanzees.
I must not respond to those so bereft of cognitive ability as to only be able to call names and throw poo like chimpanzees.
I must have more compassion for those so bereft of cognitive ability as to only be able to call names and throw poo like chimpanzees.

Hilarious reading the live blogging, especially the polls. Great stuff!

Naked ambition destroys not one but two Dems, and leaves McCain the dignified stateman who will glide into the oval office over the shattered wrecks of these two megalomaniacs.

head over to the nation and read all the lefties whine about what a travesty it was that obama actually had to answer hard questions.
