Ive asked this question before. Why in the world would any Jew vote for Obama? Yet, he seems to have a strong Jewish following, esecially in California. Did I just answer my own question?

Why would any Jew vote for any Democrat? There are Republicans unfriendly to Jews and Israel, but not near as many as Democrats, and they aren’t embraced the way the Democrats are either. And yet, as a general rule, Jews vote Democrat.

It’s a bigger mystery than why blacks continue to do so in lockstep.

Look, I am a Jew and there a lots of Jews that, just like the Christians at Obama’s church and the folks at the United Counsel of Churches, put secular progressive politics here in the US above all else. The real issue is Obama ready and willing to take aggressive, pre-emptive military actions against the Islamist any where in the world, including but not exclusively Israel. He has already answered the question, de facto, and the answer is a big NO. He would allow Iran or another extremist Islamist group to use some kind of WMD against Israel, against the US, against the UK, and his policy is that we will only respond (and who knows what that means) after the WMD has killed thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of innocent people. How anyone, Jew or Gentile, could want this man to be the President of the US is just beyond my comprehension. The guy is a loser, pure and simple.

I really don’t think we know what Obama truly believes in anything. We hear a lot of rhetoric without any specific proposals… we see a lot of appearances on Softball shows, but no real hard hitting interviews asking for specifics… so I understand your frustration… but its on ALL the issues… not just this one…

PRECISELY!!! He just annoys me ever so much. Like Obama needs to put up or shut up. I hate rhetoric so so much and rhetoric backed up by the occasional slip of the tongue about bitterness of flyover country, unilateral action into Pakistan, unconditional negotiating with Iran just sends my blood pressure through the roof. Clearly the slips of the tongue by Obama is what we need to listen to, not his “hope and change” crap.

LOL, no prob… my “Lebanon thing” was in October of 83… explosion woke me up…. literaly….

I actualy went out and looked (interesting you can’t get into Obama’s website without giving him your info…) and I can’t find his positions on what borders for the two state solution he wants… which is a huge sticking point.

I really don’t think we know what Obama truly believes in anything. Sorry, but when you’ve been to Israel three months after the whole Lebanon thing, you tend to get pretty picky over when people get dates wrong. Nothing like seeing big burnt spots all over Galilee to make you a little tough on dates.

I’m sorry. I find all the candidates to be unacceptably non specific about everything with the Middle East. Obama is the worst. He wants to be the leader of the
free world. He wants the Israelis to trust him when he talks about negotiating with Iran with no pre-conditions and maybe talking to all the leaders of brutal regimes over there. He wants the Israelis to trust that all his big talk about hope and change is magically going to get Hamas and Hezballah to give up their weapons and sing “Give Peace a Chance.”

He is dangerously naive about the whole situation. Like Bill Clinton, Obama thinks that if people like him, suddenly the world will become a sweet, gentle place.

I listen more to what he isn’t saying about Israel than what he claims to be saying. The negotiating with a country who speaks of wiping Israel off the map thing is what made me dismiss him as an idiot.

A lot of leftists figure that because most Israelis want negotiated peace, you can’t be a true friend of Israel without constantly reaching out to Palestinian leaders. Those people would view Obama as a bigger supporter than Bush.

There’s the rub. Even if you believe his suck-ups to the Palestinian community are somehow good for Israel, it’s hard to claim no others are more stalwart allies when others are actually, you know, doing more.

The fact is, though, that no one’s been a more stalwart ally of Israel…. My support of Israel is as strong as Sen. Clinton or [Sen. John] McCain.

So which one is it BO? You are either the greatest, best, mostest or you are “as strong as” McCain and Clinton.

Is the a HUGE supporter? no…

Has he made speeches, even in his Senate run supporting Israel? Yes.

He even supported their action last year when they invaded Leb to try to get their soldiers back.

You might want to get your dates right. Israel invaded Lebanon in 2006. It’s 2008. Those soldiers are still in Lebanon and they’re dead.

Supporting Israel talk needs more than just random talk about it. Has he ever condemned the massacre of those students at the Yeshiva this year? Has he ever discussed how he would achieve peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians? How about the Farfour the terror mouse TV shows? How about the dancing in the streets after the deaths of the Israelis anywhere or, oh, yeah, the 9/11 thing? He wants to talk the right talk, he needs to do it in more than just lovely generalities.

The two top pictures you have of Obama (this one, and the one about Obama and the flag pin) both have the same white kid sitting behind him, but at two separate events.

It is reasonable to wonder why he has chosen to associate with the people he has. To suggest otherwise is simply delusional.

Any baggage he may have collected in this arena is a direct result of his relationships with unseemly characters. His continued insistence to the contrary and use of projection suggests some sort of character defect.

I don’t know where Sontag is now, but Malley is a senior foreign policy adviser to Obama and Swisher is on the Arab Petro Wealth payroll as an analyst for Al Jazeera. Swisher also appears to draw personal income as a liaison between American, Israeli, and Arabian industries.

Of the three, Swisher is the worst. His book “The Truth About Camp David” is apparently THE worst book written about the events for the English speaking market.

I see this as a positive trend: liberal reporters have finally given up even PRETENDING to be objective. That is a recent development, and it’s another sign of their impending collapse.
