Are you ready for Huck PAC?

posted at 2:23 pm on April 15, 2008 by Allahpundit

The doomsday clock has vanished, at last replaced (as expected) by a new political action group conspicuous at first glance only for the surprising order in which its core issues are listed:

Huck PAC will support Republican candidates who are passionate advocates for tax reform, a strong national defense, real border security, life, the family, less government and individual liberty.

There’s only one substantive post on their blog thus far and it has nothing to do with “values” either. Today’s date notwithstanding, are taxes really the issue that’s going to ride the GOP to victory this fall or in 2012?

Note which state the first HuckPAC-backed Republican candidate hails from, too. Hmmm.

Evangelicals have a hard time accepting the rest of Christians on equal footing.

Politically, the evangelists toll more than bless. It was evangelical Christians who enabled Marxism in the American progressive movement that now pulls all the strings in our government. Huckabee uses the evangelical movement for power to abuse just as Obama and Wright use the Gospel of Jesus to convert Christianity into Islamic Black Gospel expression for power to abuse.

Conservative Americans reverence the sacred and wretch before using tax dollars rather than privately collected non-profit funds for social programs BECAUSE private charity works better than government welfare. Ex.: See the Salvation Army “doing the most good” reality “unto the least of these my brethren” American citizens. Our welfare state enables the worst to remain in their worst existence.

But no one appreciates being told exactly what to do about one’s own personal issues and being branded as sinners if different than the majority of evangelists who self-determine for the world to obey.

Anyone in power belongs to a bunch of crooks.

On February 12, 2008 at 8:32 PM, HebrewToYou said he’s looking for a candidate who will:

Cut taxes; shrink the size of the Federal gov’t; secure the borders; support Attrition Through Enforcement; nominate conservative judges. I don’t ask for much…So I’m voting for the least experienced Democrat come November.

Did you catch that? HebrewToYou has said more than once that he will vote for Obama…even though he claims he wants a conservative candidate who will:

nominate conservative judges. I don’t ask for much

I think a person’s credibility is sorely lacking when:

1) He claims to want a candidate who will nominate conservative judges.

2) Mike Huckabee committed in writing that he would appoint more Justices with established track records of decisions like those made by Roberts, Alito, Thomas, and Scalia.

3) Instead of supporting Huckabee, HebrewToYou has a long history of bashing Huckabee and other Christians on HotAir.

4) HebrewToYou says he will vote for a Democrat Senator who voted against both Roberts and Alito.

5) HebrewToYou has been known to call other people trolls. That’s pretty laughable when he has already admitted he’s voting for Obama!

Why all of the personal hatred for this man? What has he done beside running a very good political effort to be the Republican nominee. Is he still being blamed for being a Southern baptist pastor 12 years ago? I suppose he is hard to trust since like Obama his people skills are extremely good. But whats wrong with Repubs having a winner in the people skills race? He is not a marxist, nor a gun outlawer, nor a known compromiser like McCain. Is his southern accent and smile just too repulsive? I admit that I sincerely do not get it.

If you are, how in the world can you vote for obama? I truly believe he is a closet (dare I say it) muslim. If you want Israel to be wiped off the mat – I guess it’s your call. I want Israel strong and free and a friend.
I don’t like our choices either, but I don’t know if we have a choice if we want our country to survive. Look at all of his friends and associates, would you have them?
I pray for our country and for the world.

Bambi on April 15, 2008 at 6:03 PM

If you are, how in the world can you vote for obama?

1) I know many, many people working for him. He is a decent man and not worthy of the personal insults directed at him.

2) He has no experience as an executive. He will have have a one term presidency and pave the way for a true conservative leader. You need a Carter to bring about a Reagan.

Since the GOP has shot itself in the foot and nominated John McCain, it is my position to support every GOP nominee running for the Senate or House. I want the GOP to win seats in the legislature so as to put a check on the policy goals of the Obama administration. The GOP cannot win the Presidency with John McCain as its front man.

So I’m voting for Obama in order to hopefully bring about change within the GOP. You can disagree with my strategy, but don’t follow Red Pill’s example and start making up stories wholecloth. I am a conservative first, and I will not tolerate the GOP’s nomination of a conservative fraud.

I truly believe he is a closet (dare I say it) muslim.

Then you’re just avoiding reality. He was born into a Muslim family just as I was born into a Jewish family. You cannot claim he is Muslim when he self-identifies as a Christian. Not only is such an accusation unwarranted, it’s quite rude and unbecoming as well.

Don’t mean to pile on, but give it a little time to see what comes out next.

Don’t assemble the Star Chamber quite yet.

In an interesting development in the trial of Tony Rezko, Mr. Obama’s previous claim to have never met Nadhmi Auchi is now called into question. There has now been testimony that Obama went to a party hosted by none other than Mr. Auchi.

Baring celestial interference, it is impossible to imagine a scenario in which Mr. Obama would forget attending a party hosted by an extremely wealthy person who just happens to be an associate of your close friend Tony Rezko.

All of which gets to the heart of the matter. It is my understanding that in a separate bankruptcy filing, Tony Rezko previously claimed to have no assets which could account for his wife’s purchase of the lot next to Obama. Then lo and behold, just prior to Obama’s home purchase, Rezko received money from Auchi. In a red hot real estate market, Obama was able to receive price reduction on the home and Tony Rezko meets the condition of the seller by purchasing the lot at the same time.

Curiouser and curiouser.

You and I both know that the POTUS is far more than a figurehead, and who we vote for in this election will have an impact on a lot more than just the next four years. Plus, there’s no guarantee that Obama couldn’t pull of a Bill Clinton and get re-elected.

On a separate but equally important note, Bambi made a really good point at 6:03 PM. Iran (via Hezbollah) has already declared war on Israel. Iran is working furiously on Nuclear weapons. Do you think Obama would do anything to help defend Israel?

Red Pill on April 16, 2008 at 12:20 AM

Serendipity ? – oh now I’ve heard everything.

1) Why do evangelicals need someone who only represents them? I thought we wanted someone who represents all of us. I thought we needed someone who can stand up and put their hand on the Bible and represent all religions? I don’t know of another religion who needs their own representative. I like Hunter, Fred, Mitt. But we didn’t get any of them.

2) For anyone who doesn’t know how a partial birth abortion is preformed – look it up on the internet. I have teachers at school that are pro abortion but have no idea and refuse to hear how it is done. It’s hard to think of any dr doing it.

Two to five, huh? It couldn’t be one or zero? You’re ridiculous.

You and I both know that the POTUS is far more than a figurehead

Don’t speak for me. I think the President of the USA is one of the most overvalued offices there is. Executive power has been whittled down to nothing in this country.

Do you think Obama would do anything to help defend Israel?

Thankfully this is a meaningless question. Israel has no problem defending itself. It has a fantastic tech sector and a very powerful military. An American President will never have to defend Israel because Israel wont ever ask for help. In fact, I think the USA should stop trying to meddle in Israel entirely. There are more important nations in that part of the world to focus on. I think Lebanon and Syria should be a major focus of US foreign policy, but who talks about them?

Jaded but most certainly not angry. I don’t get angry over politics. I get frustrated and walk away.

You constantly throw out broad-brushed statements and accusations.

Constantly? I haven’t posted on HotAir in like two months. You’re mistaken,

Need I remind you that the next POTUS will likely nominate anywhere from 2 to 5 Supreme Court Justices?

Bah. Sorry for the double post.

I’d condemn you to hell for your vote on Obama, but you’re already there with me, or so I’ve been told. I do understand you’re reasoning concerning your vote. If that’s where you are, then that’s your choice.
Concerning Israel, I feel it’s in our bests interests on many different (political, moral, spiritual) levels to maintain close ties. We must stop meddling and patronizing, but we should also show consistent and overt support for Israel. I’m not saying Israel can’t hold it’s own, but we should always stick with our allies.

Ha! If only I believed in such silly concepts as Heaven and Hell. ;)

I agree, but only when allies call for aid. We have no business meddling in their sovereign affairs unless they explicitly ask us to. Such is why I have such strong hatred for Jimmy Carter. He has absolutely no business inserting himself into the Israeli/Arab conflict and doing so makes the US look foolish in Israel’s eyes.
