Gee, they sound … so natural.

Exit question: Why’d she truncate the quote?

re: Truncated quote.

1. She thought a few too many Dem primary voters might agree that rednecks hate illegal immigrants because of economic issues.

or

2. Too many concepts for a 30 sec ad that’s mostly ‘average folks’ (sic).

Clark1 on April 14, 2008 at 7:07 PM

Hahahahahahah, YES, go Hillary!

I don’t think we’re gonna see Clinton-Obama ‘08 at this point.

funky chicken on April 14, 2008 at 7:07 PM

“Exut”?

Vizzini on April 14, 2008 at 7:08 PM

Running every five minutes here in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre market. It’s a great ad, but she didn’t need to run it so much. This is deep Hillary country and BitterGate made it even deeper–even without the ad.

malan89 on April 14, 2008 at 7:09 PM

“Exut”?

He’s a bitter poor conservative blogger.
That’s why he spells like that.

terryannonline on April 14, 2008 at 7:10 PM

It must infuriate Clinton and Obama (and Lefties everywhere) that Rush is flogging Operation Chaos daily, and yet Obama and Clinton are playing their parts beautifully, almost as if they are Operation Chaos foot soldiers.

misterpeasea on April 14, 2008 at 7:10 PM

The more mud that gets slung between these two idealogical twins, the better off America is.

jgapinoy on April 14, 2008 at 7:11 PM

“Hillary Clinton has spent 30 years fighting for women and children.”

“Hillary Clinton has spent 30 years fighting for women and children.”

“Hillary Clinton has spent 30 years fighting for women and children.”

“Hillary Clinton has spent 30 years fighting for women and children.”

See? If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.

Cicero43 on April 14, 2008 at 7:14 PM

We always knew Hillary looked down on us, but some of us were so naive to think that Obama actually cared. That’s why it hurt.

frankj on April 14, 2008 at 7:15 PM

When Obama is elected, all of us bitter people will have to sit through 52 Oprah shows and listen to 52 Maya Angelou “poems”. I guess one each per week for a year won’t be so bad.

SouthernGent on April 14, 2008 at 7:15 PM

BTW…to all PA primary voters! If you’ve registered Dem, you’ve taken the first step. But you need to make sure you vote next Tuesday. If you live in PA-10, you won’t get to vote in the Meuser/Hackett primary (if you live in PA-10 like me and you aren’t participating in Operation Chaos–vote Hackett) but it will be worth it. Choose the box for Hillary and enjoy the show. Unfortunately, I think that if you registered dem to vote for our girl, you won’t get to vote in the Republican primaries.

malan89 on April 14, 2008 at 7:16 PM

I kinda like her when she becomes this shameless. Still not as good as when she claimed to oppose the war before him though.

Typhonsentra on April 14, 2008 at 7:16 PM

I they should have gone with friendlier looking “normal folks.” I though the people actually seemed bitter; kind of self-defeating.

nosliwelyk on April 14, 2008 at 7:20 PM

If Barry O had any balls he would come back with an ad about how Hillary treated the White House “servants”. Talk about elitists.

Vigilante on April 14, 2008 at 7:21 PM

nosliwelyk

But how would Hill find Dems who aren’t bitter?

jgapinoy on April 14, 2008 at 7:21 PM

She didn’t truncate the quote .. she split it into pieces …each one will be a separate ad .. Exit question: why shoot your whole load at once?? ;)

redrock on April 14, 2008 at 7:22 PM

Vigilante

Right, & she made US military officers act as waiters.

I wonder where the fat couple at the end of the clip think they would be today if Hillary had not been fighting for them for her entire life.

As for myself, no politician has ever fought for me, and I intend to keep it that way.

malan89 on April 14, 2008 at 7:29 PM

Exit answer: because the two items she left in, guns and religion, work more to her advantage. Rev. Wright covers the religion and her recent shooting story covers the guns. she hasn’t got as much room on the other issues… meaning his comments are too close to her positions and “you don’t want to go there Chris, you don’t want to go there”

TheCulturalist on April 14, 2008 at 7:33 PM

The only thing that can save Obama now is if the Millennium Falcon buzzed Philly.

Which means since the demise of the Dinosaur’s,or
thrity-five years.Depending on if Hillary is remembering
and telling the story,tho!

canopfor on April 14, 2008 at 7:41 PM

Let me see if I’ve got this right: People in Ohio and PA go to church to assuage their bitterness; but in Illinois (a la Rev. Wright), they go to church to learn their bitterness. And Hillary hunts ducks w/ a six-shooter and shoots shots w/ the six-packers.

Gotcha. I had heard of “Exeunt,” just not “Exut.” Maybe it’s qausi-plurality.

Vizzini on April 14, 2008 at 8:22 PM

After years of watching the venom leaking out of the Kos Kidz and Huffposters, it’s pretty rich to hear liberals call small-town Middle Americans “bitter.” All of modern liberalism is pure, concentrated bitterness. When have you ever seen a liberal have a political discussion without veins bulging out of their foreheads? I’ve always thought it was because their philosophy, as construed since the death of JFK, prevents them from acknowledging any sort of enemy outside the borders. They can only train their intellectual guns inward. Even most rank-and-file liberal voters see government as a project forever moving forward, and since it’s not reached Socialist Utopia yet, there must be nefarious enemies working to thwart enlightened progressivism. Since there are no enemies beyond our borders, those enemies must be domestic. Since no intelligent person could possibly disagree with socialism, those domestic enemies must be benighted morons. Cue up the dueling banjos, and you’ve got a pretty good idea of the movie playing on endless loop inside a liberal’s head.

Really well said. Barry O is inadvertently making so many things crystal clear. He really is a change agent, and when he’s finally dismissed, ironically some mighty good changes might have occured–just not the ones he had in mind:)

E L Frederick (Sniper One) on April 15, 2008 at 5:56 AM

Hillary mocking the vary things she votes for - duh! what a joke. If the dems ended up with a ticket of Obama/Hillary, or Hillary/Obama they still wouldn’t have the experience and knowledge to run for city dog catcher.

JAT on April 15, 2008 at 7:26 AM

In essay writing, the appropo phrase is “Show me, don’t tell me.” Rather than say, “I’ve been fighting for you my whole life,” list accomplishments. For example, “When Hill was six she returned extra change.” “When she was the first lady she cleaned the Lincoln bedroom for you all.” Etc.,

Seriously, you remember political ads with substance. Even attack ads used to say what the person voted for. This, “he said something offensive” he is, therefore, a bad man, shows all that is wrong with pc; it leads to hollowness.
