I loved it. It was much better than “Cats”. I’m going to go see it again and again.

YOU ALL WILL SUCCUMB TO OBAMANATION SOON ENOUGH!

terryannonline on April 11, 2008 at 9:27 AM

Resistance if futile!

No… wait…

Corky on April 11, 2008 at 9:29 AM

If McCain wants to appeal to younger voters he should take that video, get some better voice over work added, change nothing else, and run it on TV.

Obi B.O.

pilamaye on April 11, 2008 at 9:32 AM

Is it getting colder in here? Nope. That’s the dark side of the force.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on April 11, 2008 at 9:33 AM

I knew it! It’s just that someting was compelling me to believe him…

Grafted on April 11, 2008 at 9:34 AM

The farce is strong with Barry. I have not seen the Jedi mind trick work this well since the OJ trial.

“If the glove don’t fit, you must acquit”

TroubledMonkey on April 11, 2008 at 9:43 AM

It was inevitable that eventually Luke would turn to the dark side.

All puns encouraged.

MadisonConservative on April 11, 2008 at 9:44 AM

However, these tricks only work on the feeble-minded.

bbz123 on April 11, 2008 at 9:48 AM

Naaah, it only works on the weak-minded. I’m immune….er ah OBAMA IS THE MESSIAH….VOTE FOR OBAMA…..

p40tiger on April 11, 2008 at 9:49 AM

If Darth Obama scores the critical droid vote it will all be over…

saltydogg14 on April 11, 2008 at 9:51 AM

It helps to have many weak minded people in the audience as well, Bary.

Hening on April 11, 2008 at 9:51 AM

Hillary is starting to look like Palpatine, too, there may be something more to this…..

bbz123 on April 11, 2008 at 9:53 AM

Can we, yes.

Cuffy Meigs on April 11, 2008 at 10:01 AM

Uh oh…what if there was a subliminal message implanted within that vid?

Nah, it could never happen. You oil-hungry neocon warmongers!

Bishop on April 11, 2008 at 10:02 AM

McCain is more powerful:
He can reach across the isle and use both sides of the FORCE

maynila on April 11, 2008 at 10:05 AM

I sense the Dark Side is strong with this one….

But is he the Master? or the Apprentice?… for there are always two…

/hee hee… I said dark side…

Romeo13 on April 11, 2008 at 10:05 AM

And playing Jabba

Cuffy Meigs on April 11, 2008 at 10:12 AM

heheheheheheh….He said Oprah!

Oh wait! I’m channeling Beavis and Butthead again, not Star Wars!

Never mind!

Vntnrse on April 11, 2008 at 10:19 AM

Mark Hamill is a turd sandwich. We should listen to him because….? Surely it’s not because of his taste in sweaters.

Vote or Die!

NSFW.

He is no match for Darth Cheney

cool breeze on April 11, 2008 at 10:21 AM

So was ron paul Jar Jar? Or was he just the head clone?

Wyrd on April 11, 2008 at 10:35 AM

The guy from Corvette Summer says that Obama is a “Once in a lifetime candidate.” We can only hope! (ahh, there’s that word again!)

Nosferightu on April 11, 2008 at 10:37 AM

Let me picture it this way. B. Hussein as Luke, Teddy K. as Jaba the Hut, Oprah as Jar Jar Binks. Boy, that works for me.This could get to be fun.

pueblo1032 on April 11, 2008 at 10:41 AM

I still loves me some MarkyMark, despite Obama playing mindtricks on him

These days I’ll settle for anyone who doesn’t compare Bush to Hitler.

Comments like that probably helped me form the opinions that got me posting here in the first place..

Reaps on April 11, 2008 at 10:47 AM

Even worse is how everyone buys into Holy McCain’s bull. Journalists give his daughter flowers and attend his family outings…. and no one sees a problem with this?

Typhonsentra on April 11, 2008 at 10:52 AM

Obamiwan

Midas on April 11, 2008 at 10:52 AM

Help us, Obamawan Kenobi! You are our only hope!

rockmom on April 11, 2008 at 11:02 AM

Romeo13 on April 11, 2008 at 10:05 AM

He is the apprentice. Jeremiah Wright is the master.

RMR on April 11, 2008 at 11:16 AM

As much as I dislike Obama, this is the sort of heavy-handed propagandastic effort I’ve come to expect from the left–a little to obvious, a little too smeary, and a little too long. If I had to bet, I would guess it was made by a Hillary supporter.

I’d rather see Obama taken out on the level of ideas (as his are thoroughly bad) than propaganda.

Blacklake on April 11, 2008 at 11:31 AM

I’ll be impressed if he can get his wife to stop talking… not that I want her to stop talking, it just would be an impressive feat is all.

Hog Wild on April 11, 2008 at 11:48 AM

Nicely done.

RushBaby on April 11, 2008 at 11:59 AM

His ears are much larger in reality.

Cartoons aren’t supposed to minimize their target’s goofy assets.

Obama looks more a mocha VW beetle with both doors open.

Blacklake on April 11, 2008 at 11:31 AM

Never happen. The media will protect him from being exposed in the arena of ideas.

Best take him out of the race in whatever propagandist way is necessary.

fossten on April 11, 2008 at 12:47 PM

Hope… Change… Oprah. In Stedman we pray.

I had put that movie behind me, and now you have to bring it up again.

thanks pal. I feel the shakes coming on again.

Lucas would prolly sue.

pseudonominus on April 11, 2008 at 2:10 PM

We’ve already established McCain is a cylon, aka Colonel Tigh. Jabba=Huckabee (don’t let his shape-shifting fool you.)

WasatchMan on April 11, 2008 at 3:04 PM

And here I thought the News & Observer was just another liberal rag.

Or is this just another Jedi mind trick.

The Ugly American on April 11, 2008 at 4:14 PM

You know, geek mode and all that.

The “style” of Star Wars was awesome, the language and presentation, the action…

But the philosophical content was severely retarded. It’s like Buddhism explained by a 5-year-old with severe learning disabilities who only knows 12 words.

It was all iconic, and I’m sure Lucas watched a lot of PBS, but that doesn’t substitute for being willing to look at an idea and say “whoa, that’s pretty dumb.”

The Jedi had “super powers” and it was almost completely wasted because they had about as much of a clue as a rhododendron.

All that being said, I STILL don’t give a damn what an actor has to say about politics!

Merovign on April 11, 2008 at 4:57 PM

Galaxies are exploding.

The universe is collapsing around us.

Seven of Nine has a messy divorce with hubby Jack Ryan, clearing the field for the Jedi knight to win his senate seat, which propels him towards the presidency.

And you thought Rod Serling wasn’t writing science fiction scripts anymore.
