I bet they used these directions I just found on the net.
InstructionsDifficulty: Easy
Things You’ll Need:
American Flags
Flagpole
Step 1:
Approach the flagpole with the folded flag.

Step 2:
Unfasten the halyard rope and, using the clips, attach the flag. Make sure the union (blue field with white stars) is at the top.

Step 3:
Raise the flag without letting it touch the ground. Keep the line tight.

Step 4:
Secure the halyard rope once the flag has reached the peak of the pole.

Step 5:
If the flag is to be flown at half-staff, first raise it all the way to the peak of the pole, then lower halfway and secure.

The problem with public expenditure is that bureaucrats and politicians can't be trusted with it.

Because they do things like this.

I was going to lend them my daughter. At her (private) school, the children are assigned to the task of raising and lowering the flag daily as part of their opening and closing.

Was the flag upside down at first, the camera crew when in and said something, they flipped it, and then took the images?

I guess Obama would have been comfortable with this school until the flag was raised, at which point he'd pretend like it didn't exist.

Anyone wonder why someone who hates this country so much, has virtually no experience after only two years in the US Senate, has been able to fight the Clinton machine this long?

Someone who hates this country so much, wants to change everything about it (implying it is broken now, silly private property rights!), and has no experience to get this far would usually get a lot of scrutiny - if he were running as a Republican.

“The article pointed out that the TIZA was originally intended to be a private school, which can endorse religion, but due to the fact that many of the 300 students are low-income Muslim immigrant families, those families could not afford a private school.”

Connie on April 11, 2008 at 10:46 AM

And this is where I do not want an over reaction, and a precedent set.

The free market will decide these things, IF we want School Choice and for kids to be able to succeed and get out of the failing inner city public school system maybe it would be best not to protest to much.

Sameh Shabaneh’s Letter to The StarTribune’s Editor (Tiza Academy: a false portrayal) stated:

‘Kersten quotes one parent as saying that "all students fast from dawn to dusk" during Ramadan. That is simply not true. My son does not fast during Ramadan, and my daughter tells me that the majority of her classmates also don't fast.’

1.The Tiz Academy is a K-8 charter school.

2.In Islam, children under 12 are exempt from fasting, as lack of food could damage health.

Yep. Most of the students likely do not fast.

Zaman and his attorney took pains to tell KSTP about all of the messages of hate and threats they have received since getting exposed by Katherine Kersten this week in the Star Tribune.

I'm tired of hearing this crap without any sort of quantification. If there are threats, then by Allah, get the FBI involved, and tell us all about them. No one of any import is going to condone that. If you can't note the garbage thrown your way, as Michelle has frequently done, then just go away. Criticism is part of the bargain here, kids. If it's gone over the line, then lay it out for us and you might get some sympathy. If you can't do that, then STFU.

If enough fuss is made I’m sure they will raise a flag (subjected to many desecrations no doubt). In the end you will still have a cancerous Islamic tumor in your midst that raises a urine splashed flag to mollify the kaffirs temporarily.

Just thought this was an appropriate comment from yesterday, so I brought it on over.

I actually have no objection to this school, nor to its operating with public funds.

I just want to know when Minnesota will start funding Christian education, since state funding of sectarian schools is obviously now acceptable.

More on Shabaneh

"Our January meeting will focus on Israel and Palestine--one of the world's clearest examples of how only spiritual consciousness will be able to overcome entrenched thinking. We will see a selection of the video, "Peace, Propaganda, and Promised Land", and then Sameh Shabaneh will share
his experiences and thoughts, with time for questions and discussion. Sameh is an American citizen born and raised in Palestine who has returned frequently and is one of the founders of the Al Aqsa Group, which is educating Americans about Palestine."

Finally broke out the flap pole owner’s manual huh? “Pull on rope until you can reach flag clips. Clip flag to rope. Pull rope till flag reaches top of pole. Tie off rope.”

May still be too difficult for foreigners to understand. Just tell them to use the same system they're currently using to dry their freshly laundered burkas on the clothes line.
