Heard today on the radio that, compared to oil, the cost of an education at a university (forget which one) has risen by 150% over about a 25 year period. I would argue that there has also been a loss of value, due to the addition of politally correct BS, that would double that figure. (That would a 300% increase for you recent public school grads)

I especially liked this from his door:

A Conservative point of view

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidan compound. That was a 51-day operation.

It took less time to find evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq than it took Hillary Clinton to find Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Republican Gaurds than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the police after his car sunk at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Floridia!!!!!!

Damn our military is GREAT!
No wonder why they had to try and shut him up.

You people have a lot of gall, expecting freedom of thought at a University.

C'mon, get on board. The Communist Utopia needs your compliance. Your understanding. Your submission. Anything that does not support the Utopia, destabilizes the Utopia - and is not to be tolerated. There are far too many students who have to be re-educated. Utopia does not have time to deal with you - and with your damned freedom of thought. The students await.

It's for your own good. Will you, please, just get with the program?

A slight devil's advocate defense, though clearly free speech should reign supreme here:

The article points out that the administration's problem with the cartoons is their denigration of a minority group, not the fact that they have political or religious angles. So it's not really a double standard here, since there don't seem to be examples of other professors with negative postings about specific minorities. It's more of a case of censoring materials that are offensive to minorities, which should still fall under free speech.

Free speech for them.

Not for you.

I wonder if liberal academia (redundant) will ever look itself in the mirror, and realize the monster it has become.

A monster dedicated to the wholesale removal of any dissenting point of view. Ironically, this is exactly what they accuse the Bush administration of doing. (Never mind that they're all still alive and talking, and Secret Service hasn't taken them down yet.)

Liberal Fascism. A great book, and also the truth.

Leftists hate religion. Why do they insist on covering for Islam?

As mentioned, any ideology that is against the west and allows western academics and pseudo-intellectuals to engage their fetish is allowable.

Political correctness, atheism and left thought are the only religions these people feel are acceptable to force down others' throats.

the leftist/marxist hate for the 'western' culture equals islam's hate so their end justifies their means in defending islam..

Other than that, some of those cartoons and quotes would have made someone think.. cant have that in a university setting..

“..the Religion of Liberal Thought. Academia apparently cannot abide any dissent from their received Wisdom, and so must strong-arm people with whom they disagree to prevent disagreement. In this way, they can convince themselves that they exist in a strange sort of artificial political consensus that has a lot more relation to 1984 than the First Amendment.

With this story I'm again reminded of a quote from the late William F. Buckley -

“Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”

"..the Religion of Liberal Thought. Academia apparently cannot abide any dissent from their received Wisdom, and so must strong-arm people with whom they disagree to prevent disagreement. In this way, they can convince themselves that they exist in a strange sort of artificial political consensus that has a lot more relation to 1984 than the First Amendment.

THIS is a KEEPER! Great one, Ed.

The prof would be in a position to make the administration and others' lives miserable and I suspect he will. After all, the stalinists don't offer logical arguments, just hate and harassment. The spectacle may make some of the students take notice of the vast difference between the knuckle draggers and a conservative and it may change their perspective.

I puzzled by the source of this cartoon. It’s a leftist pro-Palestinian site. Maybe, it’s just paranoia on my behalf, but I’d run a virus scan if you download from there.

I found you can go to the original pdf in the Fire site, and cut and paste into your picture progam of choice, if you fear viruses.
