Video: Code Pink can’t figure out why guards at Petraeus hearing are singling them out

Comic relief from Griff Jenkins of Fox News, on the scene with his camcorder yesterday outside the hearing after some idiot disrupted McCain’s questions. Any theories as to why Capitol guards would peremptorily and “arbitrarily” remove these poor innocent “a**holes,” as Ike Skelton so memorably described them after they were dragged screaming from the room at last year’s hearing? And before they had a chance to show Gen. Petraeus their nifty costumes, too. Click the image to watch.

“Sorry, we already have our quota of pathetic morons. Move along, please.”

Did Sen. Biden, who unexpectedly banged the gavel and ordered “the people making noise” be removed, just authorize *GASP* “PROFILING”?

PappaMac on April 9, 2008 at 4:07 PM

These people are among the ranks of the world’s insane!!

jeanie on April 9, 2008 at 4:37 PM

“Who’s in charge, I want to talk to who’s in charge?”

That would be the people with the badges.

Anything to be on camera. Narcissists!

Besides the wear-a-person-down whining (like that of a brat who doesn’t get his own wary), they specialize in working overtime to bait the security in order to file a grievance later.

onlineanalyst on April 9, 2008 at 4:47 PM

ROFLMAO! They really need to keep those masks on. I guess they’ll accuse the Capitol Police of illegal profiling for somehow singling them out. Sheesh!

HotJavaJack on April 9, 2008 at 5:31 PM

This is absolutely priceless! I love how the Police handled this, too bad it didnt happen before!

labwrs on April 9, 2008 at 6:03 PM

Mwahahahaha!! This needs to permanently stickied to the top of the HA home page.

Also, kudos to the police, whose maturity in handling these permanent adolescents was highly commendable.

…..speaking of Mother Moonbat(s), whatever has happened to Cindy Sheehan? I love videos like this one Griff shot, but as I learned in the movies: you don’t rid yourself of the vampires unless you rid yourself of the HEAD vampire. My goodness, have we?

Marcus on April 9, 2008 at 6:26 PM

Wow…these ‘people’ are just like little children, begging to stay up a little bit later, even when the grownups have told them it’s bedtime. Also, I didn’t realize how much of a munchkin ponytail guy was til the end of the video…

bikermailman on April 9, 2008 at 6:47 PM

Media W. Benjamin (see what I did there?) is one of the founders of Global Exchange, which has a few left-coast storefronts, and an online store where they sell “fair trade” imported goods. I don’t know if that brings in enough money to pay for her full-time globetrotting protester lifestyle, though.

Jobius on April 9, 2008 at 7:55 PM

This is exactly like an episode of Reno 911!, which is hilarious and sad at the same time. Sad, because this is actually happening in our capital.

Think_b4_speaking on April 9, 2008 at 8:16 PM

Hey! They just wanted to do a little trick or treating. What’s the big deal?

ronsfi on April 9, 2008 at 8:23 PM

I have an oldie but goodie of Medea Benjamin doing the same thing last time, I have a photo of her holding a sign and a video of her saying she wasn’t holding a sign. funny lady.

Gwillie on April 9, 2008 at 9:45 PM

Medea actually looks better that way. Maybe ritualized, serious beatings could be part of a new beauty regimen for her?

Jaibones on April 9, 2008 at 10:41 PM

I remember making the “I didn’t say anything” argument in 5th grade, and it didn’t work then either.

wowrob on April 9, 2008 at 11:02 PM

They should have tazed them on general principals.

xplodeit on April 10, 2008 at 12:08 AM

God what WHINERS!

She seemed to be sniveling to anyone who would listen because she was being SOOOoooooooo persecuted.

…and ponytail guy was just as bad. I wonder if he went home right after and curled up in a ball to have a good cry?

91Veteran on April 10, 2008 at 12:25 AM

the very definition of moonbat.

pathetic.

homesickamerican on April 10, 2008 at 12:56 AM

I would’ve put up with their crap for about 1 minute, then the hand irons and flex cuffs would’ve started coming out. When I tell you to stop, that’s it: you stop. Non-negotiable. When I tell you to leave, that’s it: leave immediately. I might’ve told them to leave twice, and when that didn’t work, I would’ve informed them that they were heading for the nearest detention cell.

Virus-X on April 9, 2008 at 1:18 PM

They were freakin’ lucky. All of those cops must have gotten laid the night before, because I was expecting the sh*t to hit the fan right after the black lady cop was chewing that guy out. Tase’em.

smellthecoffee on April 10, 2008 at 1:17 AM

BWAHAHAHAHA That was hilarious!!!

thanks Allah for this moment of brevity. Or maybe I should send a little thank you card to Code Pink?

And who are the right-wingers holding up signs and what did they say?
Answer: Those who might be there to thank the troops, not the ones calling them baby-killers, rapists and murderers.

I might have to watch that again…….

JohnnyD on April 10, 2008 at 1:23 AM

As the lady cop indicated, they probably were talking the whole time and are in denial. What a coincidence: they are in denial about talking and their talking is what denied them access to the hearings.

Oh well. Perhaps they had a wahbulence waiting for them outside the building.

Mallard T. Drake on April 10, 2008 at 2:30 AM

jeez—hows about a break for the code stinkers

i’m sure they were all gonna’ sit there and listen politely

devadevadasa on April 10, 2008 at 3:58 AM

Gosh, how did the police just arbitrarily kick out Code Pink? How did they know who the Code Pinksters were? Were they just mind readers? How could the cops pick them out? It’s a puzzlement.
