No longer 10% at all – he is catching up – from TV Newser.

There is no real difference between O’Reilly and Olbermann in delivery. Both tell the story with point A and C but always conveniently leave out point B. They are both guilty of megalomanical partisan chicanery nightly.

O’Reilly beats Reverend Wright and The Left into the ground and Olbermann goes after Patrick McHenry and everyone on The Right.

Same nut house, different inmates. And both seldom apologize for mistakes, especially O’Reilly the Fox News Lord of the Manor.

The Dems are going to overplay their hand on race. It used to worry me that the R’s wouldn’t be able to criticize anything about Obama or his policies without it somehow being spun as racism, now I think it will work to our advantage. By November, the American People will have heard the Dems cry wolf over innocent crap like this so many times that they will simply ignore it. There may even be an electoral backlash.

This was not a joke. Bellavia simply truncated a speech he has given many times across the nation on the tour in which he has spoke about true heroism v. America's idolization of golf, movie and music stars. he has alternately or simultaneously mentioned Tom Cruise, Britney Spears and, yes, Tiger Woods as examples of the names that people know when they don't know men like Michael Murphy or Michael Mansoor who have given their all for their nation as true heroes. After the Forest Lake debacle when the high school canceled their event, Bellavia was on the Mike Gallagher show on March 25 and talked about how the Vikings Football team would be allowed to come to the school and talk to the students, but veterans, real heroes, were not. Others in the organization have noted similar comparisons. Pete Hegseth, in introducing the other heroes with the tour on the USS Midway said, "America needs heroes. They don't need to know Britney Spears. They need to know Marcus Lutrell and David Bellavia..." At the same event, Bellavia lists off his heroes (5 mins in) that include Rafael Peralta, next Medal of Honor recipient. Page 308 of Bellavia's book "House to House":

"As for my youngest son, Aiden, he carries the iddle name of an unsung but still great American hero: Edward Iwan"

Pages 321 and 322, listed by date of death, every man who served with and gave the last full measure. I would also note that, if you listen to the kick off speech on the USS Midway and several other videos at Vets For Freedom, Bellavia continually makes little zingers about "the audacity of..." hope, bravery, etc. He does not agree with Obama because Obama wants to pull the troops back regardless and Bellavia thinks the ground has been "sanctified" by his brothers' blood and should not be ceded back to the enemies of the United States. this speech that he gave, was simply a shortened speech to make way for the many speakers and activities that were planned that day. The fact that Sam Stein or anyone else tries to conflate it to a subtle or subconscious act of racism is so ridiculous, it defies logic. They certainly cut out the view of the stage with black, white, hispanic, men and women standing with Bellavia. They never read his book where he expresses undying love and devotion for all the men he served with to the extent that he nearly gave up his life for them. The only people who saw race matter in his speech were the people who never heard him speak before, read his book or those who define their own lives by race. to Bellavia, the men he served with were "brothers" nothing less, nothing more. (I promised Allah I'd find the other speeches that specifically reference Tiger, but the connection is spotty due to a storm this evening. This is the best I could do with little time. You can email or leave a message over at Blackfive.net for a copy of the similar speech. I'm sure Jim has some video laying around that he can point you to better than I can.)

Let’s see… Tiger Woods and Barack Obama are both half black and half something else. Both have great smiles and are incredibly popular. Both are shining examples of what anyone can become in America if they work hard.

But Tiger has some serious skills. Barack is shallow, vapid and power hungry. If I were in Tiger’s relations group I’d be complaining about the insult of being compared to Obama. ;-)
