I heard Obama say that McCain wanted a hundred years of war. I am sure a lot of other people heard it too. It is not as if he can just pretend it did not happen.

Senator John McCain enjoys using the words “straight talk” yet showed last night he does not enjoy engaging in it. Placing Governor Mitt Romney on the defense he was able to waste a large portion of the debate accusing Romney of using the word timetable as a clear message he wanted to cut and run from Iraq. Romney was more than willing to engage himself in this childish exchange in an effort to make it clear he did not support a timetable for withdrawal while showing McCain to be a liar, of course without directly calling him a liar.

Senator McCain appeared very smug as well as extremely stubborn and childish. Rather than elevating himself above the fray his entrenched political instinct was to attack Governor Romney relentlessly. He emphasized the fact timetables was the “buzzword” in April 2007 five times which somehow proved his assertion Mitt Romney wanted a cut and run secret timetable for withdrawal, ignoring the obvious out of context use of the quote he clung to. His smirk and smug attitude garnered emotional reactions from Romney and the CNN moderators seemed either unwilling or unable to break up this schoolyard feud between the two Presidential candidates, possible future President of the United States!

All I know is that when I’m at the checkout and the total is something like $X.03, I’m hoping I have change but I never do. Then I end up with so much change that I’m hoping my change doesn’t weigh so much that it rips through my pocket. But if that ever happens, I hope that I can change. Of course, if I am able to change, I hope I keep some change so that the whole silly process doesn’t happen again.

My guess is bringing the Good News of the Gospel. Perhaps he was on Christian pilgrimage? Maybe he was at one of the many Christian campus’ in Pakistan doing research? Pakistan is a country of open minds, and I’m sure the young genius was seeking enlightenment with those of his equal.

Toss in the Socons, and Mitt is being vilified by his own party as well as the Democrats. He truly must be the best man for the job.
