One better. The military trusts its soldiers with loaded weapons in a war zone but not to own a personal firearm. The regs make it so inconvienent that most either do not own guns or leave them with “non-military” friends. Go figure.

You’re only partly right: the military brass does not trust its troops at all. (And they allow loaded weapons only in part of the war zone except for special purposes.)

And yet.
No one was harmed, apparently not one of these weapons walked itself to the store and committed a robbery and apparently neither did the old guy.

Of course its anti-gun bias, is the sun rising?

We need to be careful about the spin we put on this. We have evidence of the leftist media biases that often twist stories into nonsensical interpretations. If we make that mean we are right and they are wrong, we ignore our own biases and seem less reasonable. For instance, I believe it is pretty clear that we are often more vicious about Hilary that the facts deserve. And then there are more substantial political areas where we distort, but I don’t feel confident about any to point one out in particular. I suggest that part of the spin we put on MSM bias is that we too are biased. We need a degree of humility about our own beliefs. We must accept that we too could be wrong–though it is more likely that the MSM is wrong.

I was trying to describe the situation from my point of view.. one hand, an agent of the government had a ‘collection’.. the other hand, someone who had spoken vehemently against the government had an ‘arsenal’..

all within a few months of each other..

and chose a picture which misleads their readers about its scope:

It happens more often than you’d want to admit. Police get an anonymous phone tip and burst into the WRONG HOUSE in the middle of the night, and the owner is abruptly awakened by the noise of the illegal entry of his home and responds with gunfire (from his legally owned gun) at the ill conceived (wrong investigation) intrusion. Police die, the innocent inhabitant either dies or is prosecuted by the press if not a self-centered DA bent on revising the record to cover tracks.

Right now, the Asst.DA in San Angelo has it in for the lowly FLDS “intruding population” living outside the First Baptist town of Eldorado, TX. EVERYONE but her absolves the FLDS as cooperative to their investigation, barring what is considered absolutely sacred that when upon examination proved nothing but a place of worship, not a whore house or hide out for criminals. [For comparison, think how the Rabbi's protested the Nazi sacriledge of their sacred scrolls and artifacts of worship. Well, there go the Baptists to right what's wrong with the fundamentalist Mormons.] The FLDS presented no arms to fight the lawmen when their children were taken from them. Granted, their ways are twisted. But what’s happening today with their innocent babies absconded by the hands of our government is twisted as well, covering tracks by going back to fetch the mothers. Now they are being camped in a century old fort, as though their own homes are not suitable. WHERE ARE THE RECORDED TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS THAT PROMPTED GOVERNMENT INTRUSION?! The man charged has been in Colorado City, AZ–not Eldorado, TX–and the supposed 16-year old with his 8-month old is nowhere to be found in Eldorado–so is she in Colorado City as well, or does she even exist, and the entire thing a horrible hoax set up with the “best of intentions” by the local non-FLDS Eldorado political government officials?! More likely than not, that’s what’s happened. Note well, NO FLDS arsenal was found or was threatened to be used against the lawmen or it would be broadcast loud and clear.

I suppose the guy down the street with the collection of latex sex toys and gay German kiddie porn is just okee-dokee with Reuters…because that’s a personal lifestyle choice, afterall.
