Penn go hosed by Maggie, IMHO. Maggie is consolidating her resume to be a commentator ala Susan Estrich after this gig is over. And who remembers that Estrich had a co-campaign manager in Mondale’s Titanic ice berg hit of a campaign?

I was not aware that Mark Penn was the CEO of Burson Marsteller and was still working in that capacity, including lobbying and other activities, in addition to being her chief campaign strategist. Why was that never an issue for her in terms of ethics?

Can you imagine if any CEO of anything were advising a Republican?

Dang, for $10million I can run a campaign into the ground as well.

One of the rumors being bandied around the ‘Net is that Hillary! has taken her anti-free trade stance because of being beholden to unions, another of those identity groups that she has been trying to juggle/manipulate.

Of course, since the modern Democrat party remains in the thrall of shortsighted union members, economic simpletons and populist rhetoric, support for free trade is a firing offense.

All in all, Hillary’s a dead gal walking, so in the end none of it really matters much. But leave it to Hillary to keep a political strategist on the payroll months after he should have been fired for incompetence, and then fire him for the one thing he did right.

Penn has given bad strategy but it seems more that those giving Hillary advice on what to say are lapsed than someone with poor strategy.

Maggie is a harebrained lib who isnt above convincing hillary that up is down and wright is wrong
