What good is merely admitting you made a mistake when you still secretly harbor the intention to go ahead and actually do that mistake once you get the chance?

McCain NEVER changes his mind once he has decided on something. He merely tries to hide his intent when he is ‘under duress’…. Then goes ahead and does exactly what he intended to do in the first place.

Jim Hensley greed to dump cash into McCain’s political aspirations, but he insisted that McCain would never get a cent or any control over the family fortune and business other than as a (comparatively) small gift now and then.

If you say “sorry” while you’re doing something, you’re only insincerely sorry; otherwise, you wouldn’t do it. But it doesn’t offend me. You’re not running for president. John McCain is, and he can be held to a different standard. And he ain’t sorry either. He means to be offensive. He’s been offending some of us for years.

A majority of Hot Air readers will vote for him, I guess, and that’s fine. I’m not trying to proselyte. I’m just saying I have a certain read on the man, and I ain’t voting for him. And a few others here won’t vote for him, either. But who knows? He may not even need our votes. He might get enough Democrats to crossover and cancel us out. And you know what? Democrats should vote for him, cause they’re really going to enjoy his policies. He almost became a Democrat himself, and I sure wish he had. In that case, all the good people here wouldn’t have to pretend that they like him. I know some of you are just trying to put on your game face and look good, and I feel bad for you, cause I know inside you’re ashamed.

Truth is, I’m just sad there’s nobody for conservatives to vote for this time around. Now if Bob Barr gets up on that Libertarian ticket like they say he will, I guess I’ll go with him. He doesn’t have any kind of chance, of course, but at least he can show McCain what all got siphoned off. And if Bob Barr gets five points, and McCain loses by three or four, I’m going to get drunk and play happy tunes on my guitar.

Actually, my experience with Spirit has been quite the opposite. You’ve got it precisely backwards. In fact you are the one who debates like a liberal, as evidenced by your first post in this thread in which you accused Spirit of sounding like broken record and otherwise offered no reasoned discourse whatsoever… a typical liberal tactic that you seem to employ frequently.
