Sure wish Cindy would update her own blog, though. Looks like the link has been removed from the McCain website, but she did have one going for a while – and I’d love to hear her take on events.
Doubtful. His current website doesn’t even have an rss feed worth subscribing to. I have to screen scrap his main blog. Whoever is in charge of the tech side of Team McCain fails.
Well that’s rich. McCain is notable for nothing if not moral certitude.
I swear, I can’t stand that man. And every time he speaks, I think anew about voting for Obama, just so I don’t have to hear four years of McCain’s condescending pie hole.
It’s lamentable that he didn’t join the Democrats when he had the chance. Had he done so, we might have had a Republican to vote for in November.
“I uggghhhh….. have always believed strongly in the ugghhhh…. power of the internet. And its ability to spread ideas…. to encourage dialouge. This is why I plan to ugghh….. make it mandatory for all citizens to maintain blogs. And to register their ideas with the government.”
But when further pressed on the issue of personal liberty, he will add:
“Of course, I have always believed people should be allowed privacy. Any law pertaining to blogs will have to ugghhh…. be predicated upon conditions when I enter office.”
I don’t mind people arguing that we have to vote for McCain b/c we’re in a time of war–and I agree with you–but don’t go pushing McCain’s shamnesty buddies on me too.

Obama’s not much better in terms of annoyances. He’s an empty suit who give never ending platitudes which his worshippers willingly eat up.
Hey Paul I will buy you some earplugs! Voting for Obama is voting for…..nothing! lol
ArmyAunt on April 4, 2008 at 11:08 PM
Oh, I’m just venting. I wouldn’t actually vote for Obama. (But I ain’t voting for McCain, either.) But I’ll tell you this: You’ll have to buy earplugs for the whole country, cause that mouth is going to be his undoing. In one of the fall debates, McCain will talk down to Obama just like he talks down to us, and that’ll be the end of it.
Paul serious question.
Do you have the same reaction when you just read what he says?
I am curious, because I have read that during the Nixon/Kennedy debates, those who saw it on TV thought the tanned better looking Kennedy won.
But those who just heard it on the radio thought Nixon did better.
I absolutely do not want to read George W. Bush’s blog.
Imagine how many linguistic mistakes you have to suffer reading or figure out what he’s talking about.
The word ‘nucular’ would be nothing compared to other words and sentences like this one:
“Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren’t able to practice their love with women all across this country.”
And,
“There’s an old…saying in Tennessee…I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says Fool me once…(3 second pause)… Shame on…(4 second pause)… Shame on you….(6 second pause)…Fool me…Can’t get fooled again.”
I swear, I can’t stand that man. And every time he speaks, I think anew about voting for Obama, just so I don’t have to hear four years of McCain’s condescending pie hole.
paul006 on April 4, 2008 at 11:03 PM
That’s an attempt at humor isn’t it? You would prefer the lies of Clinton or Obama than hearing something you concieve as “condesending”?
I’ve heard McCain say at least 3 times during this campaign say “I was wrong”. Clinton say’s “I mispoke”. Obama say’s “you don’t understand” or “no that’s not what I meant” and the MSM falls asleep for 2 of the 3. Guess who is odd man left out?
McCain is the anti politician. He does what he thinks is right. He say’s what he means. And if he is proven wrong or isn’t following the will of the people who elected him he will admit the mistake.
When’s the last time you hear Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama admit they made a mistake?
Paul serious question.
Do you have the same reaction when you just read what he says?
ArmyAunt on April 4, 2008 at 11:33 PM
Well, that’s hard to say, because AP usually gives us the audio/visual of that mouth. So I don’t know that I’ve read a lot of transcripts. But I’m reasonably sure that I’d have the same reaction if I read the remarks he made in this video. He’s obviously being condescending, and I think that would come through even in writing.
The man’s a piece of work. He thinks everybody but him is a hair hole.
By the way, did you know that his wife — she’s a multi-millionaire — did you know that she had him sign a pre-nup? Umm, hmm. Even she knows he can’t be trusted. And if a man’s wife thinks he can’t be trusted, I say go with that.
By the way, did you know that his wife — she’s a multi-millionaire — did you know that she had him sign a pre-nup? Umm, hmm. Even she knows he can’t be trusted. And if a man’s wife thinks he can’t be trusted, I say go with that.
Oh dear. Hmmmmm.
My daughter will be getting married with a pre-nup.
That is what happens if you have a lot of family money and property.
We are adamant that our money and property go to our two daughters only and not their husbands.
It’s not that we don’t trust them.
It’s just that we don’t want our family money to go to an in-law in case something would happen to our daughter or if he were to divorce her and demand half.
By the way, did you know that his wife — she’s a multi-millionaire — did you know that she had him sign a pre-nup? Umm, hmm. Even she knows he can’t be trusted. And if a man’s wife thinks he can’t be trusted, I say go with that.
Paul, pre-nups are common for folks with family business assets, for good reasons–mainly in case she dies and he remarries, to keep the new wife and kids from being heirs to the business. No offense, but I think you’re just looking for things to dislike now. He’s not being condescending; he’s joking around. Sorry to be insulting, but don’t be such a prig.
ArmyAunt, in our family too, a dry sense of humor and the ability to give and take some humorous insults are required, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Actually, my experience with Spirit has been quite the opposite. You’ve got it precisely backwards. In fact you are the one who debates like a liberal, as evidenced by your first post in this thread in which you accused Spirit of sounding like broken record and otherwise offered no reasoned discourse whatsoever… a typical liberal tactic that you seem to employ frequently.
He’s not being condescending; he’s joking around. Sorry to be insulting, but don’t be such a prig.
juliesa on April 5, 2008 at 12:54 AM
Juliesa,
If you say “sorry” while you’re doing something, you’re only insincerely sorry; otherwise, you wouldn’t do it. But it doesn’t offend me. You’re not running for president. John McCain is, and he can be held to a different standard. And he ain’t sorry either. He means to be offensive. He’s been offending some of us for years.
A majority of Hot Air readers will vote for him, I guess, and that’s fine. I’m not trying to proselyte. I’m just saying I have a certain read on the man, and I ain’t voting for him. And a few others here won’t vote for him, either. But who knows? He may not even need our votes. He might get enough Democrats to crossover and cancel us out. And you know what? Democrats should vote for him, cause they’re really going to enjoy his policies. He almost became a Democrat himself, and I sure wish he had. In that case, all the good people here wouldn’t have to pretend that they like him. I know some of you are just trying to put on your game face and look good, and I feel bad for you, cause I know inside you’re ashamed.
Truth is, I’m just sad there’s nobody for conservatives to vote for this time around. Now if Bob Barr gets up on that Libertarian ticket like they say he will, I guess I’ll go with him. He doesn’t have any kind of chance, of course, but at least he can show McCain what all got siphoned off. And if Bob Barr gets five points, and McCain loses by three or four, I’m going to get drunk and play happy tunes on my guitar.
You’re probably right about the pre-nup stuff. I don’t actually care if he has a pre-nup anyway. It’s really none of my business. I was just being cheeky.
With regards to the pre-nup, let’s remember that McCain cheated on his first wife with his current one. At the very least, Mrs. McCain no.2 is not a complete moron. Any guy who commits adultery is not trustworthy. End of story.
I really love it when one of you comment queens huffs that you will not be voting this November. I don’t like McCain either, but I will not sit home in a pique on Nov. 4.

What good is merely admitting you made a mistake when you still secretly harbor the intention to go ahead and actually do that mistake once you get the chance?
McCain NEVER changes his mind once he has decided on something. He merely tries to hide his intent when he is ‘under duress’…. Then goes ahead and does exactly what he intended to do in the first place.
————————————————
And as to the McCain pre-nup:
Cindy didn’t demand it. As a good little Stepford Wife, she would be glad to give him everything. It was her father, who neither liked or trusted McCain that demanded the pre-nup.
Jim Hensley greed to dump cash into McCain’s political aspirations, but he insisted that McCain would never get a cent or any control over the family fortune and business other than as a (comparatively) small gift now and then.
