The true believer in missile defense that really counts is ... Putin. He tried to stop it and forced NATO to give up Ukraine & Georgia (at least temporarily) in exchange for missile defense. Both Putin and NATO believe in our capability in missile defense, and this is what Reagan used to take the USSR over the edge. Hopefully, Ukraine and Gerogia can come on board with NATO the next time around when the missiles have already been put in place. How important is the next President of the United States?

N’Obama doesn’t care about European defense. As ArmyAunt pointed out above, the Great Black Hope has not convened his subcommittee on European affairs yet.

He was placed on this major committee (as an untested freshman senator) to give him international affairs credentials. His achievement so far is his bill to address world poverty by “donating” 7? 9? percent of our GNP to a Global Poverty Initiative. The committee hustled this bill through in order to get it on the floor.

N’Obama does not begin to understand the Constitution’s demands of providing for the common defense. He certainly does not belong in the White House. For that matter, he does not even belong in the Senate.

Obama’s a fool if he actually believes his own uniformed opinion. BOTH of the Democratic candidates will say ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to get into the White House. If either one actually did, they would have a “come to Jesus moment” upon being briefed by the outgoing administration about Security matters. They are not privy to the most sensitive information, even as Senators, so they cant truthfully say anything with certainty about these types of subjects. Dealing with Truth during a “come to Jesus moment”; I cant think of anything that could be more abhorrent to a Liberal.

Liberals hate the “peace through superior fire power” quote. So what’s so wrong with “peace through superior defense” from a liberal perspective? They don’t understand a thing about this world. Humans are not inherently good. There is no utopia. Peace will not come through constructing the perfect government, but through restraining the good ones and eliminating the bad ones.
