Thank you that means a lot. I am a great admirer of your work. As for Condell and Hitchens, I could not agree more. Like a math problem where the student has the right answer, but does not provide an equation that led them to their answer. Hitchens and Condell equate the religious right in the U.S. with militant Islam. These atheists hold Christians, Jews, and Muslims in equal contempt. To applaud him when he turns his guns onto Islam is to ignore their entire frame of reference. Ideas matter, words matter, context matters.

Exactly. You get it. And he’s a carbon copy of Christopher Hitchens, a despicable man whom desperate conservatives embarrassingly glom onto merely because they agree with him on Iraq and the Clintons. Pat Condell is an anti-Semite and anti-Israel. Some people will be in awe by anyone just because he has an English accent. It’s frightening.

Correct. I do not trust the message when I do not messenger. AP is free to believe Condell, but you are most correct to point out Condell’s broader views on “Jews” and Israel. Condell’s views on Islam needed context. Judge for yourself. I’m no fan of Condell. A poor man’s Carlin.

When these nations cease being “muslim nations”, and their citizens are free to join whatever religion – without fear of death – then I wll be willing to accept their numbers. Until then I reject this ” 1.5 billion” number.

Is featuring a guy who says some of the right things on Islam okay, despite the fact that he’s bought into Islam’s view of the Jews and Israel?

Yes it is ok. AP doesn’t have to agree with everything Condell says. I certainly don’t. But he’s right on Islam.

Well yes. They’re at a different phase in their development than us. Their affluence is just beginning, so their liberalism is just beginnning. You can see it in how they dealt with the latest Tibet uprising. They fought the protesters in a way we won’t/can’t anymore in the West, yet at the same time, are now under great pressure because they want to be cute little pandas in time for the Olympics.

If the Chinese are gonna crush the Muslims, again (Mongols sacked Baghdad), it would have to happen in the next generation, or probably won’t at all.

Islam may be a virus, inflicting damage on unsuspecting hosts, but so is liberalism. Europe has both viruses, we’re getting the Islam virus bit by bit now. China has little of both (Uighurs and Liberalism) but there’s little doubt that its begun taking root there.

The young Dali Lama’s first trip to Beijing when he was “summoned” by Mao and given his marching orders will not be repeated. The Chinese will have no choice but to “negotiate” something with the Tibetans. So if you’re looking for them to either save the world from Islam, or take us over, they better start moving. Pretty soon their own libs won’t stand for it.

You nailed it, TheBigOldDog. The war is not coming, it is here. Condell is a little late to the party and I don’t think he is much of a fighter. Condell couldn’t hold the jock strap of our most cowardly servicemen in Iraq.

Just a thought for this morning.

PS: He is married to an Omani, is a lifelong soldier/spook, and all his kids are half Arab. He is not a “racist.” But I think you could say he is a “culturist.”
