I’m hoping that with McC now out of the toxic “let’s make a deal” environs of Congress, those in the know will pull him aside and explain to him how the climate actually works. What works in Congress isn’t what works when you are sitting at the Big Desk.

Sort of like how in Independence Day, the Pres was told the truth about Area 51. Only this would be in reverse. No Aliens = No MMGW.

I was thinking along the lines of funding research for technology that really works, to create alternate fuels that really are self-sustaining and don’t compete with our food sources.
And I agree with the above posts, we ought to be able to see where all the dough came from.
This advertising is simply another way for Gore to feed his giant ego, and waste an incredible amount of energy, par for the course.

Pumping $300 million into a propaganda campaign is enough to make even Stalin proud. It’s frightening, to say the least.

I think Coleman is correct. I wish I saw someone taking the initiative on it. Soon it’ll be too late. The damage will be done.

On Glenn Beck’s show this morning, I believe it was Christopher Monckton (Apocalypse No) who suggested that $300 million is such a large sum it was likely funded in part by dirty money, such as China and possibly India.

In any event, it’s a large enough sum for us to insist on some answers. Where did this money come from! In his non-interview with Leslie Stahl, he told us he contributed several millions. But where did the other $290 million come from?

The three-year campaign by the Alliance for Climate Protection will begin Wednesday with network television advertising that will include “American Idol” and other non-traditional shows that reach a non-news audience.

So the “strategy” is to attract large masses of mindless idiots to the cause. Brilliant and scary. We have a long, hard fight ahead of us.
