Fallaci had to flee Italy and the EU and Switzerland, where she was subject to arrest. She came to NYC to die. Only in the last few weeks before her death did she return to her native country. Nevertheless, she was a political refugee from western Europe. Who would have thought such a thing possible.

Well there goes the rule of law out the window.

People are to be prosecuted according to the law, not to “ease tensions”.

Using criminal law in this manner leads to things like the Reign of Terror, and the law ceases being law at all. It becomes an instrument for vendettas and political control.

Much of the complaint of both Wilders and Fallaci centers on the unchecked immigration, blatant illegal invasion, self-contained Muslim communities unwilling to abide by national law, imposing their own sharis, and worming sharia into existing national law by using a country’s freedoms against it. Weak-spined public leaders, thinking to demonstrate tolerance, succumbed to political correctness and virtually gave/are giving away many of their towns and cities to a religion that holds them in contempt.

The decline of Western culture will go out in a whimper, not at bang, at this rate.

I reference the countdown at the beggining of the movie, and at the end, as the Fuse on the head of the Mohamed cartoon burns down… the same cartoon that caused those riots in the past… he was predicting riots, and outrage, and making the point that it was predictable based on their own Koran…
