No, no, Hillary! DON'T QUIT!
.
Let the Democratic Party fratricide continue! Let the blood flow! Let the ill-will grow! And as Sun-Tzu said, "Never interrupt your enemy while he (the Democratic Party) is making a mistake.
.
The Democratic Party truly is facing a genuine deep crisis, which they and their lickspittle MSM toadies are loathe to cover or even admit.
.
Here's a short AP article, with my neo-con commentary added. With today's biased MSM, one must read carefully, looking for what's "between the lines" and what's unsaid, then make logical inferences and deductions. In this sometimes, political hacks and lickspittle leftist MSM toadies accidentally, unintentionally tell the truth:
.
Party Fears Tight Obama-Clinton Finish
By CHARLES BABINGTON, AP
.
WASHINGTON (AP) - For all their delight in soaring voter registration and strong poll numbers, some Democrats fear the contest between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton might have a nightmarish end, which could wreck a promising election year.
.
The chief worry is that Clinton may carry her recent winning streak into Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina and other states, leaving her with unquestioned momentum but fewer pledged delegates than Obama. Party leaders then would face a wrenching choice: Steer the nomination to a fading Obama, even as signs suggested Clinton could be the stronger candidate in November; or go with the surging Clinton and risk infuriating Obama's supporters, especially blacks, the Democratic Party's most loyal base.
.
[MY COMMENT: CORRECTION-"...blacks, the Democratic Party's most brainwashed, manipulated base."]
.
Some anxious Democrats want party elders to step in now to generate more "superdelegate" support for Obama, effectively choking off Clinton's hopes before she can bolster them further. But many say that is unlikely, and they pray the final 10 contests will make the ultimate choice fairly obvious, not excruciating.
.
Barring a complete meltdown by Obama, Clinton has almost no chance of surpassing his number of pledged delegates, even if she scores upset wins in states such as Oregon, which votes May 20. But such victories would encourage her to keep criticizing Obama - her only hope for the nomination - and thus heighten doubts about Obama's ability to defeat Republican Sen. John McCain in the fall..
.
That scenario troubles many Democrats, especially those who feel Obama's nomination is all but inevitable. "This is going to give Republicans a chance to try to destroy everything we've been trying to work for for eight years," said Ken Foxworth, a Democratic National Committee member from Minnesota and superdelegate who backs Obama.
.
Superdelegates are party officials, including members of Congress, who can back any candidate they wish. With neither Obama nor Clinton able to secure the nomination with the pledged delegates they win in primaries and caucuses, the superdelegates ultimately will decide the outcome.
.
[MY COMMENT: "Superdelegates" are the au courant term for "party bosses". This system of around 800 Superdelegates was set up so that they could make or break a leading nomination contender, to be in perpetual real control of the Party.]
.
Many undeclared superdelegates express confidence that all will be well. Democratic voters will unite in the fall, they say, and the injuries that Obama and Clinton inflict on each other this spring will heal.
.
[MY COMMENT: That's the yadda, yadda that they have to say, whether or not they believe it. The next sentence clarifies their dilemma.]
.
Privately, however, some party insiders worry that these superdelegates may be blithely marching toward a treacherous crossroad, where they will have to choose between a deeply wounded Obama and a soaring Clinton whose success was built on tearing down the party's front-runner in terms of delegates..
.
A senior Democratic Senate aide, who would speak only on background because most members of Congress bar their staff members from being quoted by name, called it a nightmare that's getting worse. The Democrats' optimism of February has been replaced by fear, this aide said, referring to the widely held view last month that Obama was coasting to the nomination after winning 11 straight contests. Clinton halted the skid in Texas and Ohio on March 4 and is favored to win the Pennsylvania primary on April 22.
.
If the New York senator also tops Obama in Indiana and North Carolina on May 6, West Virginia a week later, and Kentucky and/or Oregon on May 20, her supporters will argue that the dynamic has sharply changed in ways party leaders cannot ignore. Obama is no longer the sure-footed campaigner who piled up wins and delegates in February, they will say, and the superdelegates' obligation to the party is to nominate the sprinting Clinton, even if it angers Obama backers.
.
Of course, Obama could practically extinguish Clinton's final hopes by winning one or more of those states. Many Democrats believe he will, suggesting Clinton's continued campaign is a hopeless, albeit potentially harmful, endeavor.
.
Obama's nomination is "a foregone conclusion," Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., told National Journal. Dodd endorsed Obama after trying for the nomination himself.
.
[MY COMMENT: Meaningless statement from this party hack who has always floated back and forth with the tide.].
.
He's ahead of Clinton in delegates, popular votes, states won and fundraising. Obama seems nearly certain to finish the primary season far ahead of Clinton financially. At the end of February his campaign had $30 million on hand, while Clinton's had only $3 million more in cash than in debts.
.
[MY COMMENT: There's the real problem for Hillary- Money. She and Bill surely don't want to spend any of their approximately $60 MILLION.].
.
Some Obama supporters question Clinton's motives: They suggest she is counting on a stunning gaffe or shocking revelation to cripple Obama and hand her the nomination. Others float a more sinister possibility, which has found its way into mainstream news accounts: Clinton hopes to damage Obama so severely that he loses to McCain this fall, clearing her path to challenge McCain in 2012, when he will be 75.
.
Clinton scoffs at such suggestions, and calls on voters to support whomever is the Democratic nominee in November.

.
[MY COMMENT: Of course, she scoffs! If it's untrue, she would of course scoff. If it's true she would have to scoff.]
.
Whatever her motives, many Democrats fear that Clinton's continued criticisms can only hurt the man they see as their all-but-certain nominee. *They point to a recent Gallup poll, in which 28 percent of Clinton's Democratic supporters said they would vote for McCain if Obama is the party's nominee. Nineteen percent of Obama's supporters said they would vote for McCain if Clinton gets the nod. .
.
[MY COMMENT: THIS is what the party bosses fear. For all the Democratic candidates' and mouthpieces b*llsh*t and their MSM toadies' b*llsh*t, they all KNOW that McCain is a VERY formidable candidate. If McCain can take this many DEMOCRAT votes, that logically also says he'd clean up in the uncommitted center, Main Street America, where elections are lost or won. "President McCain!"... "President McCain!"... "President McCain!"... ]
.
Faced with such disturbing trends, some Democrats want party elders either to persuade Clinton to drop out, or to orchestrate enough superdelegate endorsements of Obama to make her defeat inevitable. But high-profile Democrats, including former president Jimmy Carter, former vice president Al Gore, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, have refrained from such moves so far.
.
[MY COMMENT: The Democratic Party's faced with the fact that there is no way to solve this dilemma that's not very ugly, very complicated and very damaging. And of course, NOBODY wants to put their own *ss on the line! This has gotten truly Byzantine!!!]
.
"My job is to make sure the person who loses feels like they have been treated fairly so that their supporters will support the winner," Dean told The Associated Press.
.
[MY COMMENT: Translating DNC Chairman Howard Dean's statement from B*llsh*t to English: "My job is to prevent a catastrophic split in the Party, a racial split between blacks and whites that could destroy the Democratic Party."]
.
THAT'S the potential threat that Hillary now poses to the Democratic Party. If she loses the nomination fight, she and Bill don't care a whit if the Democratic Party falls apart. They have no further use for Party or Party cohesion at that point. She has a safe seat in the Senate, around $20 million from her books and other sources of income; Bill has his ex-President gig to play on, along with the estimated $40 million he's made post-Presidency.]
.
Indeed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi drew objections from Clinton backers when she approached the issue by saying she shared Obama's view that superdelegates should be guided by the vote for pledged delegates.
.
This week, one of Obama's prominent supporters, Sen. Patrick Leahy took the next step. The Vermont Democrat who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee said Clinton can't win enough delegates and should drop out and support Obama.

Ferrel Guillory, director of the Program on Southern Politics, Media, and Public Life at the University of North Carolina, said it's probably asking too much of Dean and others to step in. In an era of sharply contested primaries and largely meaningless nominating conventions, he said "we don't have any power brokers any more" who could somehow negotiate a resolution.
.
Pat Waak, chairwoman of the Colorado Democratic Party, said the worriers should relax. "I actually think it's good for the party to get through this process," she said. "It gives everybody a chance to be part of it," she said, noting that Democratic voter registration is soaring in many states.
.
[MY COMMENT: That's putting a Smiley Face on this Democratic Party real crisis.]
.
In Pennsylvania, Democrats have registered a staggering 161,000 new voters since last fall, pushing their numbers over 4 million for the first time. In Oregon, nearly 10,000 voters have refiled as Democrats in the last seven weeks.
.
Waak added, however: "The concern I have is the kind of level of attack that has come up" between Obama and Clinton. "I don't think that is good for the party."
.
[MY COMMENT: Gosh, no kidding?!]
.
Superdelegates will have to choose this summer, Waak said, and it will be easy if Obama can significantly increase his lead in delegates, popular votes and states won. On the other hand, she said, "the narrower the margin and the less conclusive it is, the harder it becomes."
.
[MY COMMENT: Hillary won't quit, period. She has nothing to lose and everything to possibly gain by staying in the race. Which means the defacto Party Bosses, aka "Superdelegates", will have to choose between Hussein Obama and Rodham Clinton. *The costs and benefits will have to be weighed.
.
Nominating Hillary would likely crack the Party along racial lines-a huge, potentially fatal cost for what benefit? Is she more likely than Hussein Obama to beat McCain? I think they'll conclude correctly that she's much less likely to beat McCain.]
.
I think they will ultimately choose to nominate Hussein Obama, as alienating the black Democratic base by nominating Hillary when she's been beaten by Hussein Obama would be a long term party catastrophe. It'd be a far worse blow than giving the nomination to Obama who will very probably lose the election to McCain by Hussein Obama. That would still leave an intact party base.

This week, one of Obama’s prominent supporters, Sen. Patrick Leahy took the next step. The Vermont Democrat who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee said Clinton can’t win enough delegates and should drop out and support Obama.

Ferrel Guillory, director of the Program on Southern Politics, Media, and Public Life at the University of North Carolina, said it’s probably asking too much of Dean and others to step in. In an era of sharply contested primaries and largely meaningless nominating conventions, he said “we don’t have any power brokers any more” who could somehow negotiate a resolution.
.
Pat Waak, chairwoman of the Colorado Democratic Party, said the worriers should relax. “I actually think it’s good for the party to get through this process,” she said. “It gives everybody a chance to be part of it,” she said, noting that Democratic voter registration is soaring in many states.
.
[MY COMMENT: That's putting a Smiley Face on this Democratic Party real crisis.]
.
In Pennsylvania, Democrats have registered a staggering 161,000 new voters since last fall, pushing their numbers over 4 million for the first time. In Oregon, nearly 10,000 voters have refiled as Democrats in the last seven weeks.
.
Waak added, however: “The concern I have is the kind of level of attack that has come up” between Obama and Clinton. “I don’t think that is good for the party.”
.
[MY COMMENT: Gosh, no kidding?!]
.
Superdelegates will have to choose this summer, Waak said, and it will be easy if Obama can significantly increase his lead in delegates, popular votes and states won. On the other hand, she said, “the narrower the margin and the less conclusive it is, the harder it becomes.”
I think they'll conclude correctly that she's much less likely to beat McCain.]
.
I think they will ultimately choose to nominate Hussein Obama, as alienating the black Democratic base by nominating Hillary when she’s been beaten by Hussein Obama would be a long term party catastrophe. It’d be a far worse blow than giving the nomination to Obama who will very probably lose the election to McCain by Hussein Obama. That would still leave an intact party base.

Meanwhile, back at the Dallas ranch in Texas, Hillary wants to be the peanutbutter, and Obama's the jelly:

A weary Mr. West conceded that the process had flaws. In his convention, a computer system went down, a woman fainted and it was discovered that the delegates from some precincts were never recorded into the system.
"It's a nightmare," he said at one point. "The system wasn't designed for all these people. The process is a nightmare."
Party leaders sought to keep the machinery running and remind the crowd that, in the end, they're on the same side as Democrats.
"It's like asking if I like peanut butter and jelly or jelly and peanut butter," said Dan Woolery, a precinct chairman attending the District 9 convention at South Grand Prairie High School.

Reagan coalesced the Republicans on a conservative agenda against many of their wills. The grassroots were always conservative whereas the politboro never was.

They were a party of schmucks, crooks and liars before Reagan and are just reverting to their nature. McCain is just a symptom of this trend.

Because the Party is not sticking to its core beliefs, because it's pandering and leaning to the left, the Republican Party has no reason to exist. It might as well form a coalition with the Democratic Party and share power in every election.

Hillary isn't as smart as we've been led to believe, but she isn't stupid either. If she loses in PA, IN or NC she won't need anyone to tell her it's over.
I think she knows it already and has known since at least the Chesapeake primaries. She's thinking about 2012. Obama must not win in November. That's her rationale for staying in. Also, there's still a 5% chance she'll win the nomination after all.

I can't imagine her folding. There is not a gracious or compromising bone in her body. She will fight it out on the floor of the convention.

But I am not sure she will have a second shot down the road in 2012 or later. With half the Donks not going along with a coronation in 2008, and supporting such a light weight as Obama, I am not sure she would have anymore support four years from now.

And Obama is a light weight. The only reason that he has such fierce and widespread support is because there is such a fierce and widespread hate of Hillary in Donkeyland.

But what if someone inside the fort tells her it’s time?

What if? Does it really matter?

This is Hillary Clinton's one shot at the Presidency promised to her for decades in return for loyal devotion to Bill Clinton. You really think she is going to cede just because she isn't able to win the popular vote?

The hate of Hillary among the Republicans is incommensurable.

Putting McCain aside, you idiots, how can you prefer an America-Hater over Hillary?

Even if Hillary's chance is getting slimmer, how confident are you in a McCain win? And why not supporting Hillary anyway, just in case?

Have you forgotten the idiot Lefties who are voting for Hussein, not only the Lefties, but many of your fellow idiots Republicans who are fascinated with shallowness and Affirmative Action?

Let me talk a little bit about you, Republicans:

The Republicans are lost.

What do you guys want?

You are divided among yourselves. You can't make up your minds on your own Party's affairs, so how can you make a sound decision concerning the other side anyway?

Conservatives are the only ones who think and see clearly and wisely, and because they know what they want, because they stick to their principles in spit of all the attacks against them (from the Left and from the Right), because Conservatives are no longer represented in the Republican Party especially with McCain and the top leadership being Liberals as they are, I do not consider myself a member of the Republican Party.

I renounce the Republican Party.

It is no longer the Party of Ronald Reagan.

It is no longer the Party which was based on the hardcore Conservative principles of its founding Fathers.

The Republican Party became a Party of schmucks, crooks and liars. It has leaned to the left, one cannot see a big difference between a Democratic Party and its mild version incarnated in the Republican Party. We've experienced it when it was in power for many recent years.

I am not a Republican, hence my nickname.

I am a proud Independent Conservative.

The hate of Hillary among the Republicans is incommensurable.

Putting McCain aside, you idiots, how can you prefer an America-Hater over Hillary?

Even if Hillary’s chance is getting slimmer, how confident are you in a McCain win? And why not supporting Hillary anyway, just in case?

If you think about it, Rahm Emanuel is the only member of the Clinton Campaign Cabala who stands to win even if she loses. Should Shillary indeed go down in flames in Indiana, he can very easily sashay over to B.O.'s side and be welcome with open arms. As for the rest of the Clinton crowd, Jimmy "Serpenthead" Carville especially, they will most likely wind up on the outside looking in.

Go away, Hillary. Sixteen years of you is enough. We are sick of you. You are a pathological liar. Your total self-absorption is reckless. Your fame originates not from accomplishments - you have none - but from your dishonesty and mouthiness. You have nothing new to add to the debate - your ideas are tired, recycled socialism. You've shown utter contempt for the institutions America holds dear, and we deeply resent you for it. We're tired of your lies, your phoniness, your condescension and your arrogance. We're tired of your shrill whining and negativity. We're tired of looking at your face. Go away.
