Over a month ago, I suggested that Herself would run for NYGOV. The vererable socialist FDR used that platform as a springboard to POTUS; so why shouldn't another socialist play copy cat? She could even get rid of Billy Jeff and run for POTUS on her own.

Paterson will not resign nor will he be removed by impeachment since he would be replaced by Republican Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno under the NY constitution and no Democrat wants that. The Democrats will be quite satisfied to allow Paterson, a liberal to serve the rest of a term during tough economic times that will require painful spending cuts and tax increases and then dump him and his baggage in 2010 when they will back Andrew Cuomo, the current AG for Governor. I like Rudy but a run against Cuomo will be very hard for him.

Thus, this is all nonsense.

Funny, all you people saying that Rudy would beat Hillary are probably the same ones who thought that the revolutionary Florida strategy was the most brilliant tactic in presidential politics. It’s a good thing most commenters don’t consider themselves political analysts.

At the ACC tournament a couple weeks ago I sat next to a guy who worked on the Rudy campaign. He was a fellow Wake grad as well. While I didn’t pour it on that thick, I did ask him who was responsible for Rudy’s epically awful campaign. He still indicated that the Florida strategy was a good idea.

Learning from mistakes (or even merely recognizing them) is apparently not something that is a beneficial trait in NY politics.

I still believe Ms. Clinton will get the nomination. Far too many super delegates owe the advancement of their political careers to the Clinton’s. Bill bought and paid for (with our tax dollars and a whole lot of corruption) these votes before and after he left office. Some of those “pardons” have come due and payable now; hate to think of what will happen to those who fail to pay their debt to this modern day mafia called Clinton Inc…..

I think Rudy would beat her handily. I also think the Clintons are correct when they tell democrats that they are the only/best hope the dem party has to take the WH this year.

If the DNC cared about the will of the people’s vote and wishes then they would be calling on Sen. Obama and not Sen. Clinton to drop out now.

Yup. It’s high time for moderate to conservative media outlets to get this “inconvenient (for Obama) truth” out there. For two reasons: the media/hollyweird coronation of Obama is creepy-Revelations territory for me, and it would make sure most Hillary supporters would vote for McCain in the general election, because it would be true that the Obama camp succeeded in strong-arming her out of a race that she had a shot to win.

Every poll I seen shows that Sen. Clinton leads Sen. Obama in all the remaining states with the popular vote, so this number will increase by the time the convention comes around. The DNC primary system is not based on how people vote and that is the problem for the DNC now. If the DNC cared about the will of the people’s vote and wishes then they would be calling on Sen. Hillary does not deserve it nor does anyone in NY(well, maybe some), deserve her.
I lived in NY up until the last 4 years or so, so my heart is still there. I didn’t like it when she became senator but I loved Rudy as Mayor.
I think she should just lose it all but I’d to see something good open up for Rudy.
