LiveLeak pulls “Fitna” after receiving “very serious” threats

“In the end the price was too high.”

Update: I haven’t tried the torrents here but you’re welcome to if you haven’t seen the film yet.

Update: Don’t worry, the film’s still around. Google Video has it for the moment and I hear that it’s up and down on YouTube too. When all else fails, just search for “fitna” and “torrent” and all should be well. They don’t call it “viral video” for nothing: Once it’s released into the population, you can never quite stamp it out. LiveLeak did its job for as long as it needed to.

Update: Readers are adding links in the comments to other downloadable versions. Get your copy today.

I was on a completely different track, thinking of phrases like, “Boston anthrax attack.”

Laura on March 28, 2008 at 6:49 PM

“America Is Dead” was my guess

LimeyGeek on March 28, 2008 at 7:10 PM

Terrorist threats huh.

And America has had them since ????????

Wow, liveleak you could have decided to have the testicular fortitude to keep it up! Be better then YouTube!!!

Guess Europe has now shown it is the weaker link.

upinak on March 28, 2008 at 7:12 PM

Which American news agency is providing access to the video?

Les in NC on March 28, 2008 at 7:01 PM

Which U.S. MSM source is even reporting on the controversy? I haven’t seen one yet.

Thank you, God, for the internet. As for LiveLeak, at least they were willing to stand up for freedom of speech for about 24 hours; that was more than Network Solutions was willing to do.

LimeyGeek on March 28, 2008 at 7:18 PM

Easy to say for them to keep it up…but if your daughter was hung from a tree, with her entrails hanging out, you wouldn’t be the one to say it was worth it.
Or if your employee’s house was fire bombed and everyone was killed…
When it gets like this, with no guarantee of protection from the government, you do what you can and then retreat till another day.
How easy it is to sit behind a keyboard, anonymously, and call other people gutless.

right2bright on March 28, 2008 at 7:18 PM

Someone posted a ways back about nuking all of the middle eastern countries……..don’t need to do that. Just one small tac nuke on Mecca would do the trick. Can you imagine…they are supposed to pray several times a day in that direction. What direction to pray in if it no longer exists…??

As brutally and as critical as I am about anything… Thank a Soldier (all of them around the world) for dealing with the Afghanistan war, as well as ANY who are helping in Iraq right at this moment.

Liveleak posted it for what… a few hours? Big deal, I would have bought the DVD!

Censorship is much more dangerous and pervasive than just this instance. Look at muslim sensitivity training at the FBI, or script changes throughout Hollywood, or schools with their mandatory “be a muslim” day. Fitna is great PR but we must stay focused where we can make a real difference.

MNDavenotPC on March 28, 2008 at 7:32 PM

Just one small tac nuke on Mecca would do the trick.

And one for Medina, and one for the Dome of the Rock. Islam as a faith will cease to exist, as - unlike Christianity - it is tied to the material world; namely, these three sites. Turn them into glass and smoke, and most Muslims will instantly turn away forever, for it’s unthinkable Allah would let such happen to the Muslim holy of holies…thereby proving Allah does not exist. The few Muslims left who might fight on can then be hunted down and neutralized, as Western boneheads could no longer offer “sincere religious belief” as a reason to defend them. The rest turn to atheism, agnosticism or other faiths (possibly B’hai). In any case, Islam as it exists dies because Allah would be effectively “killed,” and his “death” takes the Koran with him. Pass the pork rinds.

Les in NC on March 28, 2008 at 7:05 PM

Neither is Livelink - what’s your point?

Fox News ran Obsession several times which is 10,000 times more powerful and more critical than this little project.

So again, what’s your point?

TheBigOldDog on March 28, 2008 at 7:34 PM

I’m wondering (as some of you already are) if this little video wasn’t produced for its content, since as BOD says, it’s been done elsewhere in much more detail and really isn’t telling the informed out there anything they don’t already know.

Could it really just be a test to show just how widespread the cowardice is, thus perfectly (and sadly) proving Geert’s point?

And what about those of us who have lousy vision (one eye especially bad) and don’t have the iron-clad mentality it takes to be a half-decent soldier?

Not to spit on your service or the brave people in uniform, but please be a little more considerate.

Dark-Star on March 28, 2008 at 7:42 PM

TheBigOldDog on March 28, 2008 at 7:04 PM

My point is that the serviceman was saying that only uniformed US soldiers were standing up for freedom of speech and I thanked him for his service. No American news agencies have picked up on this. THAT IS MY POINT!

Les in NC on March 28, 2008 at 7:45 PM

Well, I wasn’t originally gonna watch it. I’m supportive, but thought I knew what it was gonna look like. The threats by Muslim extremists made me sit right down and exercise my rights, and Geert’s right as a Human Being to Free Speech.

God Bless (whichever God you want) Geert Wilders - and those that helped him create this…and save our complacent overly-appeasing a$$es, wherever in the Western world we may be.

Our culture and our lives are at stake!!

Now is it my fault that you or whomever has the problem with sight? No, and I feel for ya not being able to serve. Sometimes a small issues such as sight should stop you from doing other things, or even doing something medical. I agree with you there.

BUT, I do NOT want some want someone who has a weak or in your words “iron-clad mentality” and going to wig out! BCT usually weeds them out or makes them become a different midset.

If you want to “spti” go for it… I guess some people are pissed off at the world. BTW you are welcome!

I was just pointing out they are a foreign country that US soldiers have nothing to do with defending (directly anyway).

People here it seemed were making the assumption this was a US company unwilling to stand up like soldiers are and it’s simply not applicable here and it’s unfair to companies like Fox News who have done more already…

VERY disturbing film. I got to about the first third of it, and although I had seen much of its clips before, there were enough new images to make me sick.

Being Jewish parents and having a young Jewish daughter, it had a special meaning.
Of course, unlike most American Jews, I can shoot a gun and would eagerly protect my family, but these are such evil bastards that only our well-trained army could ever protect us from them.
Let this viral film spread all over the world!
And I will be glad to donate whatever to help make that happen.

I took a guess and wrote this on Dan Simmon’s forum one and half years ago (2006):

I was mesmerized by Dan’s Time Traveler. At the very end, there were three words of warning, that once we heard them, we’d know our doom. I speculated endlessly what those three words might be.

Now, here it is several months later and the Democrats will soon assume control of our Congress. I think I now know what those three words are.

They are the campaign slogan of the Democrats for ‘08:

NO MORE WAR.

Those words, chanted as a cheap promise by Americans sick of war, will seal our doom. We’ll elect men and women who refuse to stand against the rising tide of Islamic domination - all in the name of a false peace. Those three words will finalize our abandonment of purpose. It will prove that we Americans have failed to appreciate the persistent, long-term threat posed to our liberties and survival by a Movement that envisions a world dominated and defined by an Islamic Caliphate. It will signify that we no longer have the will to stand against an enemy that will ‘fight any war, make any sacrifice, suffer any hardship, and pay any price’ to achieve totalitarianism.

NO MORE WAR.

It will mean we’ve given up. Therein lies our doom.

How close did I get? I haven’t made a better guess since.

Redhead Infidel on March 28, 2008 at 8:22 PM

That’s good too, could be…whatever the three words were they shook the old man to his core, so it had to be something very big and/or very personal, or both.

Call me old-fashioned, but I admit difficulty in accepting that free speech, the most prized liberty of Western Civilization, is on the verge of extinction before the altar of political correctness. Had someone pretended to predict we would become so akin to the societies whose values we detested when I was a teenager, I’d have called him an idiot.

This is bizarro world. Tell me it’s not so, guys. Tell me it’s not so.

splink on March 28, 2008 at 8:29 PM

I don’t think so. We (readers) debated this endlessly on various thread in his forums in the months after he posted that short story. Simmons would pop in occasionally to stir the pot, but never once uttered a hint. I’ve read some of his books and he is deeply existential. He leaves some things deliberately ambiguous to incite just this kind of conversation.

My husband, who has not watched the various videos on Islam that we have, was not underwhelmed. He reacted very strongly and immediately mailed the link to numerous friends. Our reaction is not the one that is important really. We are all too familiar. What is important is that the hype surrounding it caught the attention of many who have little knowledge of Islam and they now may have a better idea of why we do what we do.

Connie on March 28, 2008 at 9:00 PM

So LIVELEAK Has Been Terrorized Into Submission, And The Video Was Removed.

LIVELEAK allowed itself to be terrorized into cowering like a child in a corner with the big bad dark authority figure looming above, making demands and issuing orders, and the cowering child submits, under THREAT of penalty.

It may, or may not, have been the “safety” of LIVELEAK staff that led to the removal of the 15 minute movie (I’m inclined to believe some of the LiveLeak staff were not in danger, but simply “offended” by the movie and demanded it be removed), but alas, terrorism (whether from within LiveLeak or outside) claims yet another victim and forces LIVELEAK to submit. Just on issue of “threat”, and nothing more.

Even after their original statement in the very beginning about posting the video, with an air of defiance in the name of free-speech, LiveLeak allows themselves to be subjugated and heel-stomped into servitude, like the shivering shakey lap dog they have apparently become.

Good Job LIVELEAK. Way To Stand By Your Convictions! Way to submit to your overlords!

Don’t be too hard on LiveLeak - we don’t know the exact nature of the threats made or how specific they were. Were Islamofascists targeting their families? Families of support staff who had nothing to do with airing the video? It’s a terrible responsibility to take risks with the lives of innocents associated with you. They did great just to put it up and leave it up for a while, I feel - after all, as AP said, now it will always be out there.

i am proud for LiveLeak doing what they did, and the cat is now indeed amongst the pidgeons-the jihadis will not be able to suppress “Fitna”.

I was stalked for 14 months, but the US has the 2nd Amendment, and I had access to a firearm and the skills to use it if needed (which, thankfully, I never did). In the UK, they are disarmed entirely, with no more, probably less, “protection” from police. Threats by jihadis are credible and the LiveLeak people are much more exposed than I was. I understand their decision. I suspect the irony of the situation is lost on the pious “religion of peace” jihadis.

Of all the lessons of this episode, LiveLeak’s decisions, and their explanations thereof, might be the most important.

If you want to rag on someone, get after Network Solutions. They ran before any threats came at them, and they are a US company. I have called them once, mulling over a letter to their CEO. They will never get a dime of my money or from anyone I can influence absent heroism above that of LiveLeak.

They’re based in Britain, so they’re not allowed to defend themselves, it ain’t like the US where you can buy yourself an AR or AK if things get bad. The LiveLeak crew have to bank on their government defending them, and given how squishy the British government is, I’d play it on the safe side too.

…to Rosmerta and everyone else here who stumps for LiveLeak and their willing subserviant removal of the video, here’s their statement when they first posted it:

http://www.liveleak.com/fitnathemovie.html … and just in case they remove that out of trembling fear, here’s the copy n’ paste:

Liveleak.com presents “Fitna the Movie”

LiveLeak.com has a strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech as so far as the law and our rules allow. There was no legal reason to refuse Geert Wilders the right to post his film (Fitna) on LiveLeak.com and it is not our place to censor people based on an emotive response. We in no way endorse Geert Wilders, his views, nor the views expressed within Fitna. To many of us involved in LiveLeak.com some of the messages therein are personally offensive. That being said, our being offended is no reason to deny Mr Wilders the right to have his film seen. Pre-emptive censorship or a discriminatory policy towards freedom of speech are both things we oppose here on LiveLeak.com. A person has a simple, clear choice about whether to view this film. No one is being forced to view it and nor is it being broadcasted on every channel on their television set. If you click on media simply to be annoyed, it is pointless to blame others for your choice.

We do not intend on defending the content of Fitna, only our choice to allow it. Anyone has the full right of reply on LiveLeak.com. Any person or organizations are free to post their opinion and, dependent on said response falling within both the law and our rules, we will afford such responses equal exposure. There are undoubtedly better ways to spark a discussion but this film is now out there and we believe we should all grasp this opportunity to create an open dialogue and discussion on this subject.

Now, you folks can pick and prod at, and post, any of the assumptions you have. The fact is, they’re cowering children subserviant to their overlords. And in the US, doubleplusundead, you can’t just go “buy yourself an AR or AK if things get bad”. So quit being an apologistplusasshole.

LiveLeak posted and aired a conviction for free-speech and individual rights, and it lasted less than 24 hours before they put their tail between their legs and shat themselves.

Don’t apologize for LiveLeak, they’re dhimmi’s and Muslims mixed together, and the “offended” Muslim staff put their foot down, conviction for free-speech and individual rights be damned, and the video was removed.

So much for a “strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech”.

Make a stance, the boogey-man says, “BOO!”, and the axe held in sweaty palmed trembling hands falls. What a crock. What a joke. What a shame. What are you folks going to do when the overlords eventually come threatening you people, and/or your families, or your Muslim neighbor simply states, “Um, I’m offended, yo.”

Simpering supplicants to fear

ronsfi on March 28, 2008 at 9:51 PM

I apologize in advance for this long post, but it was a fantastic analysis of Europe posted by someone named Larson Less at LiveLeak:

Wilders, Islam and Europe
When controversies surrounding Islam emerge, whether it’s terrorism or cultural/religious friction, we’re often told that we must not blame Islam as such but only individuals who supposedly misinterpret or misuse it for their own selfish needs. I think t More..his is a totally erroneous view and I want to relate my personal experience with this religion to show why I believe so.

I’m a student at one of the largest European universities with a significant Muslim student body. This university of course is a very liberal institution which stresses inclusion and tolerance for all minorities and religions. Muslims here have numerous organizations and clubs; they have their own prayer rooms and they are even allowed to construct a large replica of Kaaba (the cube-like structure containing the Black Stone) on Ramadan, right in the centre of the campus. One would think that Muslims would be satisfied with these numerous accommodations and that we would all coexist in harmony. However, that proved to be insufficient and recently they asked the university to provide them with halal food. The administration of course has acquiesced and the university’s biggest restaurant has added halal products to its menu. But that was not enough. You see the restaurant, catering to all the students of course, sells alcoholic drinks. What’s more, it has a dance floor where people, well, dance… when they feel like it. Apparently though Allah forbids alcohol and dancing so the Muslim students’ union has asked the university to ban dancing and the sale of alcohol at the said restaurant in the name of tolerance and respect.

It’s unclear how all this will play out, since these brazen demands have created a backlash among even the most liberal of students. But the moral of the story is clear. We’re not dealing with extremists here. I’m sure that most of the Muslim students would condemn terrorism and that none of them would want to harm innocent people. They will graduate and find jobs. And yet they refuse to integrate culturally into the mainstream society. Why would that be? Islam is a community and a way of life; its members share common values, assumptions and moreover they are convinced that Islam is the only way since it is the God’s way. Being a cohesive group, Muslims promote their interests at the expense of the rest and their efforts will only intensify as their numbers and influence grow in our society. That’s why it’s misleading to attempt to draw a line between the extremists and non-extremists. Their means are different, but the end result – spread of Islam – is the same even if most Muslims do not ask themselves on a daily basis what they can do to advance their cause and would not want anything to do with terrorism. What’s happening at my university is a microcosm of what is taking place in Europe at large.

This brings me to another important point. Geert Wilders has done us a great service with his movie. The Muslims will likely violently overreact again like they did in the past, betraying their deep-seated insecurity, and more Europeans will start asking themselves whether they want their countries to continue mass immigration policies. This, however, is not enough. It’s not enough to expose Islam; it is essential to ask why Europe is falling pray to this alien religion. The reason is that Europeans have become a hollow, hedonistic and deracinated lot, with nothing with which to oppose Islam. Wilders urges Europeans to defend their freedom. Freedom is a great value, but without positive cultural imperatives, whether religious or national, it becomes a void which is now being filled by Islam. That’s why I doubt that many Europeans will rush to the ramparts to defend their freedom with which most of them do not know what do with anyways. In the final analysis then, if Europe does become Islamized we will only have ourselves to blame. European culture is the problem, not Islam. Islam is just a consequent.

Thanks for posting that, Troy. Excellent analysis by Larson Less. Depressing, but excellent.

I ended up posting a long piece at the Miami Hurricane blog this morning in response to an article posted at HA earlier today about call to prayer at the University for Islam Awareness Week. I don’t think they were thrilled. They banned me from posting again, although dumping the cookie at least let me follow the other comments. The discussion did not give me a lot of hope. These kids are being brainwashed. One Muslim student suggested an Islam Awareness Month, which I think was suggested by Muslims in Canada as well. What they don’t seem to understand is that the more people actually know, the less favorably they will look upon Islam. Or maybe they do understand and are trying to shut us up before that can occur.

My bad, that’s Larson 01, the “Less” means to shorten the view of his post.

You sort of get tired of hearing how Islam is the religion of peace. I guess it is as long as you submit.

“This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else.”

Sir, you are a coward.

Our cemeteries home and abroad are filled with our precious and honored dead who have paid the cost for yours and our freedom collectively, and you have pissed it away.

Your future is your own.

Your please for assistance while your country men’s necks are being cut off and your children are being burned alive will fall upon deaf ears.

You can not even show the truth of a situation, and coward to threats.

You do not know your enemy.

You have already lost.

May God Bless and Forgive you……..

Almost as bad has been YouTube. When I first started noticing the jihadi videos on YouTube and complained, my complaints were met with a deafening silence. It was only after contacting Sequoia Capital General Partner Michael Moritz that YouTube began to police the videos after threatening to organize other veterans in protest.

Here’s the thing, LiveLeak has posted vast numbers of jihadi snuff videos and has generally refused to remove them after complaints (I know, I’ve tried). Most often refusals are met with the facile argument that they are standing up for freedom of expression. So it is curious to note that the knees go weak when thugs threaten violence. So much for high principles.

How about a little moral clarity LiveLeak. How about removing the terrorist snuff videos or might that also offend the tender sensibilities of these evil men.

moxie_neanderthal on March 28, 2008 at 11:08 PM

And in the US, doubleplusundead, you can’t just go “buy yourself an AR or AK if things get bad”. So quit being an apologistplusasshole.

Any law abiding US citizen that doesn’t live in the People’s Republics of NY, Massachusetts, Illinois or California could grab a credit card or wad of cash, go to a gun shop or FFL tomorrow morning and have a semi-auto AK or AR bought and in their hands in a week, you ignorant f*cking twat. You can’t do that in Britain, beyond that its against the law to defend yourself there.

U.S. Embassy Amsterdam issued the following Warden Message on March 28:
A short film funded by Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders that is inflammatory towards Muslims was released on the Internet March 27, 2008.

And when AlJazera releases videos of westerners being decapitated slowly with a dirty dull knife, the US Embassy and the UN always come out with statements that the film is inflammatory to civilization and to warn of violent protests from the typical white westerners! /s

wepeople on March 28, 2008 at 11:16 PM

An appropriate phrase very succintly put forth by Mr. Wilders:

Stop the Islamisation!

awake on March 28, 2008 at 11:22 PM

While not eloquent it is at least heartfelt. I just fired off the following message to LiveLeak. I have included a link to their contact form if you wish to convey your thoughts:
_____________________

I understand your concerns over Fitna and the threat of violence. I would suggest that a proper response would be to remove all of the jihadi/terrorist videos that your organization currently hosts. Many of the most vile snuff films are used for propaganda purposes and are consumed by the very types of people who are most likely to be threatening your staff. Western civilization MUST take a stand against those who wish to destroy the very essence of what it means to be a liberal, western democracy.

It is sad when a man such as Wilders has put his life on the line by sounding a clarion call and it is silenced through an act of self censorship. Appeasment never works, it only emboldens the enemies of freedom. We must take a stand. God help us all.

A week? BAH that takes to long. ;)

Any state that believes in the 2nd amendment and use technology to that end, your eligibility can be checked against 9 different federal/state agencies in a matter of hours not weeks.

What’s really aggravating about this is that Liveleak wrote this in their “we give up” message:

Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one anothers culture.

Educate all of us? I think the lesson learned here is that intimidation works. And “accepting one another’s culture” - we are accepting our dhimmitude, but that’s all the acceptance taking place these days. I guess they were trying to save a little face, but really, that was laughable. Or would be, if it weren’t so sad.

Shameful! The enemy has NO desire to accept you and your beliefs. What more are you willing to do to be accomodating? Put a veil on your wives and daughters? Limit your freedom of movement? I say those things because that is precisely what some Parisians are doing in some quarters lest they provoke muslims.

Thank God there was a time when brave men of Europe were ready to do violence against those who would deny freedom.

moxie_neanderthal on March 29, 2008 at 12:00 AM

I’m not saying that LiveLeak shouldn’t take a stand, and I think some of their squishy PC statements a bit lame, but the Brits need to get things in order before they can be as bold as certain hotheads think they should be right now.

European people as a whole are in no position to make a strong stand right now because their governments have too much control over their daily lives, which means they’re completely reliant on their governments to defend them and the limited liberties they have, and we know their dhimmi govt’s won’t do a sufficient job. Look at how long it took for Ayaan Hirsi Ali to get protection.

I hear you.

What SilverStar is missing is the fact that LL is a business and their responsibility has to be safety of employees first.

How they go about ensuring employee safety is between them. As is the exact threat and the credibility of the threats.

In the end it does not matter. The movie is on the internet on god knows how many computers. Even though LL pulled the video it will not stop the spread of the movie.

LL deserves mad props IMO for being the first to stand up and host it.

F15Mech on March 29, 2008 at 12:06 AM

That said LL should also pull any pro-jihad videos due to fair play.

Which is my take, all you needed was a few hours from a solid host, and the video was gonna be everywhere. There will now be tons of sites that host it, tons of torrents, and it’ll be on millions of hard drives, ready to be uploaded at a moments notice. I guarantee that there will be people who keep uploading to video hosting sites as soon as it gets taken down.

jerrytbg on March 29, 2008 at 12:15 AM

I would not say appeasement but more like the US Army backing off so the Air Force can perform an air strike.

Did LL say they would start banning anti-jihad videos like youtube/google?

When LL posted the video they came under heavy fire, They held their ground long enough for the rest of the internet to take action.

Simple fact of the matter is that thanks to LL hosting the video as long as they did, their is no way Muslims can stop it from spreading, shut it down etc.

When LL was hosting it they could attack the source (which they did). They will be hard pressed to do that now.

This is what I posted in response to the Miami Hurricanes blog posting on call to prayer on campus for Islam Awareness Week.

Geert Wilders is right about Islam. The Qur’an teaches hate and bigotry. It should not be used to instruct children or be used in prisons as a conversion tool.

Islamophobia? Who are the true Islamophobes? Network Solutions and YouTube? Those who try to silence the truth-tellers out of fear? A phobia is an irrational fear. Understanding the true motives of Islam and wanting to stop Islamization is not irrational.

Islam is the antithesis of our Bill of Rights and our Constitution. Muslims will tell you Islam means peace. What is meant by this is that all will be peaceful under Islam - if one accepts Islam. If not, those of other faiths can exist by paying the jizyah. This is what Islam teaches. Paying jizyah (tax) to Allah in order to be allowed to practice a religion other than Islam is not freedom of religion. If Islam spreads and becomes the dominant religion, how long before the right to freedom of religion is abolished to be in line with Qur’anic scripture?

Study the Qur’an and the ahadiths. A rational human being can only come to the conclusion that Islam was developed by a man who, because he thirsted for power, developed an ideology based on his deliberate perversions of Judaism and Christianity in order to create hatred for the followers of those religions. Create the hatred, then create an army to ravage and take control of the lands of the People of the Book (Jews & Christians). Islam is not just a religion. It is an ideology with political, military and religious aspects. It is a total belief system.

The Crusades were, of course, the quest to retake the lands stolen by the first Jihadists - Muhammad and his followers.

Do you realize that the Siege of Vienna took place on September 11, 1683? Why do you think September 11 was the date chosen by 19 Islamists to fly planes into our buildings? It was a message to us that Islam was again on the rise.

Interfaith groups seem a noble cause, but they only promote Islamization, because the attempt on the part of naive non-Muslims is not reciprocated with the same noble intentions on the part of Muslims. This is not to say all Muslims are gifted in the “art” of taqiyya (lying) and use it. In fact, there are many Muslims who do not even know the finer points of their faith and who have become secularized or they are indoctrinated and do not question their faith.

Muslims will tell you that you cannot understand Islam properly if you do not know Arabic. (There is some indication that Arabic was not the original language used) And, of course, if you do not understand Arabic, then you must only study with a Muslim who does. Don’t listen to them who say this. Certainly, one can listen to, read, study both sides, if one is interested in “being fair-minded.” But quite frankly, within the first several days of studying Islam, I was able to to easily see how and why Islam came to be. I was appalled by the so-called prophet of Islam and by the Qur’an, which is, as Wilders called it, fascistic in nature. Muhammad not only lived in the Spin Zone, I am quite sure that he created it. He said Allah said something, but then when that thing conflicted with something Muhammad wanted or did, he simply explained it away with a new saying from Allah to justify his behavior.

Contrast Muhammad with Jesus Christ and there is no comparison. Muhammad was a brutal warrior and Jesus was only peaceful. God bless Pope Benedict for playing the very dangerous game of chess with Muslim leaders. He is a brilliant man and I fear that priests and others who are doing interfaith work do not have the knowledge to engage in it properly. Islam in America is here to win, not to merely live side-by-side with other faiths.

CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in an ongoing case regarding contributions to Hamas, claims to be nothing more than an advocacy group for Muslims, but instead, they are engaged in fake lawsuits to promote the Islamization of America. They are here to make sure our children’s text books say nothing bad about Islam. They are here to make sure footbaths are installed in public institutions and to accustom us to call to prayer. They use the excuse that we have church bells, but church bells are used for many reasons. Call to prayer only has one purpose. In various places around the globe, call to prayer goes on forever at 2 a.m. When I hear call to prayer, it reminds me of 9/11. It is a sound that does not belong in this country. It causes distress for too many.

Many former Muslims are warning us about Islam. Listen to them. Listen to Ayaan Hirsi Ali; to Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian terrorist who converted to Christianity, to Bat Ye’or, to Nonie Darwish, to Wafa Sultan, to Robert Spencer.

If not for those of us who speak of the dangers of Islam, Turkey would not be attempting revision of the ahadiths. That should tell you something - that Islam in its present form is unacceptable.

There are those Muslims in America who are attempting reform or pushing a New Age version of Sufism, but can Islam be reformed? Muslims believe the Qu’ran is the word of God handed to Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel. How does one reform what is supposedly the word of God? Muslims have begun a campaign to disassociate themselves from the Taliban, from violence, from what they call a perversion of Islam, but the Qur’an itself calls for violence. The jihadists follow the true Islam.

As the saying goes, there are moderate Muslims, but there is no moderate Islam.

If you are truly open-minded, you will seek out all opinion and treat it fairly. You will not accept the false idea that only Muslims understand Islam.

We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.

“Dearest Sophie, We fought the British as long as we dared, yet in the end, the weight upon our souls was too great and we laid down our arms. The revolution is done.”

Nope. Didn’t happen.

“Dear Elizabeth,
My men have no stomach to fight the Germans anymore. We all grow weary of the insufferable cold and the smell of death. Let the Germans have Europe I say, it is none of our concern and the war is lost for us here.”

Nope. Not here either.

“Hi Boo,
Me and the guys were try’n to find a way out of the shit for good and get State-side again. It’s just miles and miles of endless sand out here. Who give’s a f**ck if Saddam wants nukes and kills his own people? It’s his f**cki’n country right? This f**ing war is just draggin on and we ain’t winning it.”

Nope, we won that one, too.
And we’ll win the one we’re in now as well.

So, LiveLeak’s “explanation” just sounds like cowardly, liberal B.S. to me.

* You know, we still treat terrorism threats within our own country as a law enforcement matter, when really we should have a task force that can swoop in at moment’s notice to eradicate these scum with extreme prejudice. They are not criminals — they are enemy combatants on our soil, and they deserve no protection from our laws.
