Alert the Media: Hugh Hewitt

I’ll be on the Hugh Hewitt show tonight at 6:40 ET.  I’m sure it has something to do with the Barack Obama/Jeremiah Wright controversy, but it could also be my shameless exploitation of Amanda Carpenter, too.  Or maybe Duane told him that I liked the movie Maverick, since Hugh plans to have a card-playing theme for his third-hour, top-ten-movies list with Emmett.  Hugh is like a box of choolates — you never know what you’re gonna get.  Be sure to tune in and find out!

He is not to be taken seriously as a reporter.

He is not to be taken seriously as a reporter.

VolMagic on March 28, 2008 at 6:22 PM

Nonsense.

RushBaby on March 28, 2008 at 6:22 PM

I’ll be on the Hugh Hewitt show tonight at 6:40 ET.

And you know who that benefits? Mitt Romney.

amerpundit on March 28, 2008 at 6:23 PM

Ed, ask him if you’re to be trusted as an analyst!

doubleplusundead on March 28, 2008 at 6:24 PM

Whatever you do don’t mention Mitt. Stick to Bradshaw and Hugh will be in your pocket.

Limerick on March 28, 2008 at 6:24 PM

I’m tell you to me He looks like Stephen King. >:D

Chakra Hammer on March 28, 2008 at 6:25 PM

HH has an agenda but so what. Its not a mystery as to what the agenda is. Plus, he’s smart.

Andy in Agoura Hills on March 28, 2008 at 6:25 PM

Cool. I like Hugh’s show.

Very Smart

I’ll be on the Hugh Hewitt show tonight at 6:40 ET.

You know who this benefits?

Ed Morrissey.

Ed gets more face time on TV, radio, etc than anyone ever.

lorien1973 on March 28, 2008 at 6:28 PM

IMHO, Hugh has the second best show on the radio. Rush is #1, but Hugh has the best guests and is the best interviewer I’ve ever heard. Ed on Hugh: You know who this benefits? Me.

aquaviva on March 28, 2008 at 6:32 PM

Nice hat. Go Steelers!

innominatus on March 28, 2008 at 6:34 PM

Halp I’m not good wif time zones.

Does that mean he’s on in 3 minutes, or an hour and 3 minutes? If 3 minutes, that’s some lacking warning.

askheaves on March 28, 2008 at 6:37 PM

They just started to run Hugh Hewitt here in Vegas. He’s wonderful.

Mojave Mark on March 28, 2008 at 6:39 PM

Hugh’s alright, but I can’t help myself, I just have to goof on his excessive Mitt worship.

doubleplusundead on March 28, 2008 at 6:40 PM

Should be on now, I think.

doubleplusundead on March 28, 2008 at 6:41 PM

Askheaves,

I don’t know what time it comes on but I just listen to it when they post on Townhall. They usually post it about 9 central time.

terryannonline on March 28, 2008 at 6:41 PM

I don’t think we get Hewitt…I’ll have to check that at some point.

doubleplusundead on March 28, 2008 at 6:42 PM

…it could also be my shameless exploitation of Amanda Carpenter…

Ed

Gasp! Ed!

Jaibones on March 28, 2008 at 6:43 PM

Vol Magic,

Hugh is not a reporter; he is a political commentator. This is not unlike the difference between a football player and the stadium announcer.

Jaibones on March 28, 2008 at 6:44 PM

I loved him in “Christmas Story”

RobCon on March 28, 2008 at 6:51 PM

Hugh is not a reporter; he is a political commentator.
Jaibones on March 28, 2008 at 6:44 PM

Quite true. And this is not in anyway a slander on Hugh Hewitt.

darii on March 28, 2008 at 6:53 PM

Ed,

Please tell Hugh to get on the damn radio here in Montana.

Keemo on March 28, 2008 at 7:00 PM

Ed gets more face time on TV, radio, etc than anyone ever.

lorien1973 on March 28, 2008 at 6:28 PM

Sorry to quibble but, if Ed’s on radio, wouldn’t it be mouth time?

Terrie on March 28, 2008 at 7:10 PM

Hugh Hewitt has become the poster child for being WRONG when it comes to political analysis. He was WRONG on his Mitt Romney predictions, WRONG on the 2006 mid-term elections, etc. Here in Denver there is a much better option on talk radio with Caplis & Silverman on KHOW.

olympian2008 on March 28, 2008 at 7:10 PM

He is not to be taken seriously as a reporter.

VolMagic on March 28, 2008 at 6:22 PM

Reporters, especially of the MSM persuasion, are not to be taken seriously as reporters anymore, either.

But as Jaibones just said, Hewitt’s a political commentator, one of the best.

petefrt on March 28, 2008 at 7:20 PM

As a Steeler Fan, I think Waxman should investigate him.

Fair enough.

He is not to be taken seriously as a reporter political commentator. Okies?

VolMagic on March 28, 2008 at 7:32 PM

That photoshop is rather shameful.

Hugh Hewitt is a great American, even if he happens to be from Oh-high-oh and always high on something.

HotAirJosef on March 28, 2008 at 7:32 PM

I don’t think we get Hewitt…I’ll have to check that at some point.

doubleplusundead on March 28, 2008 at 6:42 PM

You can always go to here and click on Hugh Hewitt at the top. Both he and Dennis Prager have their full shows up daily. However, since Hugh is on later, sometimes you have to wait til the next day to listen to his whole show.

Blarg the Destroyer on March 28, 2008 at 8:17 PM

Townhall.com has Hugh’s podcasts under their audio section. Since I’ve been catching Ed’s show, I ended up at Townhall and have been catching other shows I don’t get up here in Canada. Hugh puts on a good show.

Canadian Infidel on March 28, 2008 at 8:19 PM

Maverick has to be the best modern version of a classic series ever.

- The Cat

P.S. And having the original actor in more than a cameo and making it work. . awesomer

MirCat on March 28, 2008 at 8:19 PM

Hey, Hugh’s a Stillers fan…

Good man.

benrand on March 28, 2008 at 8:29 PM

It’s not a photoshop. Hugh lost a bet with me and had to wear the Steelers hat at the Minnesota State Fair. He’s a true Browns fan, which is to say, he’s a masochist.

Ed Morrissey on March 28, 2008 at 9:26 PM

Hugh is a good soul, if a bit of a blowhard.

I think if you love Savage, you will tolerate Hewitt. (Or, vice versa.)

I, for one, love Savage.

Nonetheless, I confess that I was listening to Hewitt while typing this.

sanantonian on March 28, 2008 at 9:48 PM

Hey Ed! I resemble that remark!

Blue-eyed Infidel on March 28, 2008 at 11:40 PM

He’s a true Browns fan, which is to say, he’s a masochist.

Preview, rinse, repeat…

Any Cub fans here? LOL

Chakra Hammer on March 28, 2008 at 11:49 PM

I’m a Bears fan at least we got ‘85.. >:D
I’m also a Colts fan so it evens out..
(one for AFC one for NFC.) :)

Chakra Hammer on March 28, 2008 at 11:51 PM

Detroit Lions fan.
Top that.

Canadian Infidel on March 29, 2008 at 12:59 AM

olympian2008 on March 28, 2008 at 7:10 PM

You have got to be kidding. Dan’s okay, if he could at least modulate his voice above a monotone on occasion. But regardless of his commentary or analysis, shouldn’t someone in daily drive-time radio at least have a voice one would want to listen to and not something that sounds like he downs a daily Comet cocktail mixed up by Josephine the Plumber with a 3M Sandpaper chaser with his cheeks stuffed with Kraft Marshmallows??

Carry on.

Captain Scarlet on March 29, 2008 at 2:33 AM

That is to say, those are the qualities of Silverman’s voice, not Caplis. Sorry for the oversight.

Captain Scarlet on March 29, 2008 at 2:34 AM

It’s true!! Look at Hugh’s clamp teeth and try NOT to see Stephen King.

leftnomore on March 29, 2008 at 3:47 AM

They say that Hugh Hewitt is almost as good as Al Franken. I’m not sure that I agree though, but to each his own.
