I can’t believe I missed this thread here when it was fresh.

Here is what I posted over at FR when it WAS fresh;
What REALLY happened:

They work for Bill Richardson.

He pays them with some of his Saddam “Oil for food” cash.

They stole the car because theirs broke down, and they didn’t want to be late for work as they are VERY dedicated workers.

They are Rail Runner Workers (Richardson’s choo-choo train debacle for those of you unfamiliar with what is likely to be the biggest boondoggle in New Mexico history).

Explosives are for the blasting necessary to make the new grade for the tracks up La Bajada hill. (Steep hill between Albuquerque and Santa Fe)

Pretty simple when you think about it;
Definitely not terrorism.

The FBI has enough to worry about then this common occurrence. Ha, and someone thinks Iraqi money and explosive devices are used for terrorism…these conspiracy nuts come out of the wood work.
Why would anyone in their RIGHT mind think Iraqi money and explosive device has any correlation? What event has ever happened that would cause people to jump to that conclusion…
