Escalation: MoveOn rips Hillary donors, defends Pelosi over superdelegates

I should have predicted this yesterday since Obama thrives on small Internet donations, not big bundlers. Ah well. Delightful, and not just for the obvious reasons:
This is pretty outrageous: a group of Clinton-supporting big Democratic donors are threatening to stop supporting Democrats in Congress because Nancy Pelosi said that the people, not the superdelegates, should decide the Presidential nomination.1
It’s the worst kind of insider politics—billionaires bullying our elected leaders into ignoring the will of the voters.
But when we all pool our resources, together we’re stronger than the fat cats. So let’s tell Nancy Pelosi that if she keeps standing up for regular Americans, thousands of us will have her back. And we can more than match whatever the CEOs and billionaires refuse to contribute.
What makes it delightful? Why, the fact that Hillary went face-first into the tank to side with these cretins during the “Betray Us” fiasco, as part of her nutroots charm offensive. Not only did she refuse to denounce the ad when pressed by reporters, she voted no on the Senate resolution in support of Petraeus — which is further than even Obama was willing to go — purely and simply because it repudiated MoveOn by name. What a joy it is to see her ass-kissing of the dregs of the lefty blogosphere repaid by having them turn on her at every opportunity. Remember this, Hillary? I do. Reap the whirlwind, loser:

Update: Savory, yet sweet:

Update: A good point from KFB in the comments. Since when is the left opposed to billionaire fat cats influencing the party?

Ah yes, the party of the little guy, the working man.
Akzed on March 27, 2008 at 6:15 PM
But I thought the superdelegates were suppose to prevent the people from voting the wrong way?
Kini on March 27, 2008 at 6:16 PM
Wonder how she feels knowing that the monster she created is now attacking her.
Oldnuke on March 27, 2008 at 6:19 PM
Re poll data: Who are these single-digit folks who favor McCain over their own candidate?
mikeyboss on March 27, 2008 at 6:19 PM
Does this mean the Forces Of Soros are prepared to delivery the final blow to the Shillary campaign?
Oh, this is going to be soooooooooo good!
pilamaye on March 27, 2008 at 6:20 PM

Pam on March 27, 2008 at 6:22 PM
About the same way the Saudis feel about AQ and Wahhabiism
Kini on March 27, 2008 at 6:23 PM
We should have thought up Operation Chaos years ago.
Iblis on March 27, 2008 at 6:24 PM
All the way to the convention baby!
Theworldisnotenough on March 27, 2008 at 6:25 PM
She’ll be out April 23rd. The MSM will need the three months between then and the convention to polish up Barry and stink up Johnny Mac.

I think that Hillary should withdraw and run as an independent; really shake things up.
MorOn.org is proving once again that the Frankenstein monster should never have been created in the first place.

I gotta wonder about some of that polling.
4% of Obama supporters would vote for McCain over Obama?
6% of Hillary supporters would vote for McCain over Hillary?
I don’t get it. They support Obama/Hillary but wouldn’t vote for him/her? If it was 1%, I’d say, okay, some kind of error, but 4%/6% respectively? How does that happen?

Canabalism!
DAT60A3 on March 27, 2008 at 6:32 PM
Clinton should make a go for a third party run. Right before she does though, she should demand that Kennedy, Richardson, and JFnKerry vote for her in the convention.

I guess helter skelter is next, no doubt.
JonRoss on March 27, 2008 at 6:39 PM
Correct me if I’m wrong, the defeatocrats set this system up to make sure that their own voters couldn’t choose the wrong candidate. They are afraid of their own people. Reap what you sow baby.

Yea, I wondered about that too.

Selective sampling

Just saw this thread. Kid, you beat me. I was going to comment on the richest of them all, their own Soros. That’s the best part of the letter, and the most ironic/hypocritical.
Means the same, just in a more odorous way.
Entelechy on March 27, 2008 at 6:50 PM
So when she blows up Denver it’ll make them madder? Heh.
SouthernGent on March 27, 2008 at 6:54 PM
This line cracks me up!
Since when has Moveon.org cared more about “the will of the voters” then the desires of it’s billionaire funders?
Here is a look at who finances Moveon.org
Nahanni on March 27, 2008 at 6:56 PM
Her trained rattle snakes are attacking her. The only way to stop them Hill is to cut off their heads.
rplat on March 27, 2008 at 6:57 PM
So move on has finally move on past the clintons ? Considering it came into being to defend the clintons te irony is simply too great not to enjoy.

EvilFickle.Speakup on March 27, 2008 at 7:32 PM
And someone really needs to investigate that…(To make sure that one big bundler, or several big bundler’s aren’t funneling the money to small internet “donors”, just using Names and addresses, since the first $199 goes unreported.. )
Chakra Hammer on March 27, 2008 at 7:42 PM
Obama has the Move.org crowd, that place has the names and addresses of everyone that has signed up..
People may have donated to Obama and not even know it.. ;)
Chakra Hammer on March 27, 2008 at 7:45 PM
Dear McCain Feingold Act of Ungodly Acts,
Your bill sucks.
This bill is better.
All donations, 1 cent or 1 million, with no limits, are posted on the Internet by the campaign receiving the donations within 48 hours of receiving said donation. If information presented by said donor cannot be confirmed in the 48 hour period, said donation must be returned.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
The sane campaign finance reform peoples

I blame Operation Chaos.

Soros must be getting really senile.

Go ahead, you speak her language. Terminally Moronic Sissy Surrender Artist. It’s a “enlightened” a hug can save the world dialect. Spoken in many circles throughout the U.S.
Unless you speak it it will sound like this to normal people:
“Repulicans are stooopid”, or “America caused 9-11″, and my personal favorite “we are losing on all fronts”.
Hog Wild on March 27, 2008 at 9:04 PM
“Trained rattle snakes” - Good word crafting. Has cache.
