Video: Shameless liar’s shameless NAFTA lie exposed

posted at 9:31 pm on March 26, 2008 by Allahpundit
Share on Facebook | printer-friendly

The beauty of the Tuzla story lies not in catching her in a shameless lie but in the fact that it opens up everything else she’s ever said to re-examination. Here’s another lie we already sort of knew about but had forgotten, for the simple reason that there are too many to keep track of anymore. Just as the human brain can only handle nine-digit phone numbers, so too America’s collective imagination can only juggle five or six egregious Hillary fabrications at a time. Right now, offhand, I can recall the Edmund Hillary lie, the Yankees/Cubs vacillation, the “I almost joined the Marines” tall tale, the bogus southern accent, and of course Tuzla. But beyond that? Total blank. How much mendacity has spilled over the sides of the gallon-jug that is my mind and into oblivion? You’ve overwhelmed us, Hillary.

Did she quit and I didn’t notice (I admit it’s possible, but unlikely, I haven’t been paying attention to politics for the last couple of days)? Because she could always win at the convention.

I remember the “we were going to adopt a child” one.

Maybe not a lie, but it sure sounded to me like it.

Would the child met the same fate as Sox, or Buddy?
(That was crappy, I apologize)

Out of all of them, that one bugs me the most.

Well written, Michelle, as always.

I just can’t help to wonder how this country, possibly the world, would have been different if some of these canards by both BillyJeff and Hillary Clinton, were exposed to the point they are now, and not swallowed whole by the MSM back then?

Well written, Michelle, as always.

And then of course there is our own Republican choice for President to behold.

Not all of us have forgotten how the short-fused Arizona senator cursed good-faith opponents in his own party (”F**k you!” and “Chickensh*t” were the choice words he had for Texas GOP Sen. John Cornyn during a spat over enforcement provisions). Not all of us have forgotten that he voted against barring felons from receiving amnesty benefits under his plan. Not all of us have forgotten the underhanded, debate-sabotaging manner in which McCain/Kennedy/Lindsey Graham/Harry Reid conspired to ram their package down voters’ throats.

His admission of the shamnesty failure is grudging and bitter. While he now tells conservative voters what they want to hear about the need to build the southern border fence, he takes a contemptuous tone toward physical barriers when talking to businessmen. “By the way, I think the fence is least effective,” he told executives in Milwaukee, according to a recent Vanity Fair profile. “But I’ll build the goddamned fence if they want it.” Straight talk? Try hate talk.

For all his supposed newfound enlightenment about what most Americans want — protection against invasion, commitment to the rule of law, meaningful employer sanctions, an end to sanctuary cities, enforcement-by-attrition plus deportation reform, and an end to special illegal alien benefits that invite more law-breaking — The Maverick remains a Geraldo Rivera Republican.

I usually respect fellow republicans and their dissent, however you are a RACIST. Almost every post you make here at Hotair has something to do with immigration including this thread about NAFTA. Next, you’ll go into a tirade about Juan Strawberries Plantation McGrouchy or something else. You very rarely comment on anything else of substance. I’m sorry you dislike Hispanics. I’m Irish and my relatives couldn’t find work or respect upon arrival either. Go ahead and vote for Nadar or Cynthia McCKinney this year, because your a hack who has no respect for a good man who knows a hell of a lot more about sacrifice than your sorry ass.

Now we know…So the media suddenly notice when Hillary “misspeaks,” while rushing to make absurd excuses for much greater outrages by her opponent

TheBigOldDog on March 26, 2008 at 10:36 PM

If the deep pocketed Dem donors are starting to put some major pressure on the superdelegates to go with the supposedly most electable rather than the winner in delegates and popular vote, things could swing back. eeyore on March 26, 2008 at 10:55 PM

Another one – she lied about Chelsea jogging around WTC and supposedly had just stepped into a coffee shop when the first plane hit – she specifically said that Chelsea heard the plane. This was on the Today show. Evidently Chuck Schumer’s daughter went to a high school right near WTC and Hildabeest was trying to one-up him. Chelsea commented in an interview a few months later that the way she learned about the 9/11 attacks was she was in NY and a friend phoned her and told her to turn on the TV to see it.

And, of course, she’s ALWAYS been a Yankees fan. :-)

The War Journals of Hillary Clinton, Vol. 1

It was a simple mission, they had told me – get in, shake a few hands and mouth a few platitudes, get out. Simple. Yeah.Things had started going wrong while we were still in the air and only gotten worse from there. So here we were, pinned down, choking on the acrid tang of cordite and the heady scent of human blood. The mission was even simpler now: survive. Whatever the cost, survive. There was a grunt and a clatter of equipment as Sinbad threw himself down at my side. Sweat glistened on his bare arms, and I could see tendons contracting and relaxing as he squeezed off bursts from his M14. The motion was hypnotic, like a snake about to strike. Perhaps, when all this was over- No. Concentrate. Focus on the mission. Survive.

Is it any different than Nixion, LBJ, Ford, Carter, Bush 1, Bush 2, FDR, Truman. They all lie. they all strecth the truth. what’s the difference? Before the press would just not report it. Now with the internet they still don’t report it but people find it out. and fact check.

Don’t misunderstand me. I know as leaders they are required to lie at times to protect this country. But it seems that once they start lying they just can’t stop. They lie for natinal security, they lie to get bills passed (remember the immigration lies) they lie to get funding, they lie to further their own political capital. they lie and stretch the truth to the point that anyone that believes most words coming out of our leaders mouth is a class A moron.

I wouldn’t be too quick to count cankles out. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that she will attend the Democrat Conference wearing a bomb belt and saying “Apres Moi Le Deluge”

It is so refreshing to see all the lies, fabrications and just general B.S. that has flown out of Shillary’s mouth finally coming back to haunt her. At this rate, after her campaign finally goes Kablooie, I truly wonder if the good people of New York will question whether she is worthy of yet another term as Junior Senator? Wonder if that thought has crossed her mind as of late?

Good ‘ole Ross Perot. I still remember him at the debates, straining to see over the podium, screaming about “that giant sucking sound” from the south, stealing all of America’s manufacturing jobs. Funny though, I can’t recall Hillary saying a word against NAFTA. Maybe it was one of those Jimmy Carter things — where she opposed it in her heart, but couldn’t bring herself to say anything against it in public.

What for? She’s done.

I recall you saying the same thing about McCain after shamnesty.

Hey Hillary, you can always tell your grandkids…you really were president…

The only thing that will keep Broom Hilda from staying in this thing all the way to Denver will be if she drops dead somewhere along the way.

No way she will quit.

No way.
