Vets for Freedom: John Kline address

posted at 5:15 am on March 26, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

Rep. John Kline (MN-02) addressed the crowd at the Fort Snelling Officers Club near the beginning of the Vets for Freedom event. Like state Rep. Bob Dettmer of Forest Lake, Kline seemed anxious to rehabilitate the reputation of Minnesota after the debacle at Forest Lake High School, in which the VFF veterans got locked out of the school by principal Steve Massey. Kline, himself a former Marine colonel, feels obvious frustration that the men on the dais behind him wound up being insulted by his own state.

I had to zoom in from the back of the room, thanks to the SRO crowd. The image may look a little unclear as a result, but the audio comes through quite nicely.

Great job Ed, thanks for bringing this little talk to us. And thanks to Rep. Kline and his family for serving our Great Country. And a big thanks to VFF for finding a way and getting their message out.

Now the world can see what you and I know Ed…..what a JOY our Congressman is!

Now you know why I work so hard to get him re-elected every two years!

It was an honor when Rep Kline was a speaker at a Memorial day ceremony that I MC’d last year. What a humble and honorable man he is IMHO…. Oh, I’m a Marine, too! guess I’m prejudiced
