I prefer calling any scandal a ‘Clinton.’ For example:

“Did you hear the latest Clinton? Hillary completely lied about Tuzla!”

“Oh, that’s nothing…Obama stuck his foot right into a Clinton himself by claiming he was conceived as a result of the Selma marches.”

“Yeah, but what about the question Chelsea was asked? That was positively Clintonous!”

I like the way it slips from the tongue. And it makes about as much sense as the habit of defaming a perfectly innocent hotel in DC.

So let us imagine a world magically transformed beginning in…

1992: George H. W. Bush reelected; or
1996: If Clinton was elected in 1992 then he would have been defeated in 1996; or
1998: Clinton resigns Presidency under shadow of sex and perjury scandal. Al Gore goes on to server two terms in the White House; or
2000: Al Gore acts like the statesman Richard Nixon in 1960 and accepts the outcome of a disputed election; 2002: Al Gore makes an unsuccessful run for the Governor of Tennessee and announces that you won’t have Al Gore to kick around anymore; 2008: Gore wins the Presidency; or
2003-2007: After many mistakes the Bush Administration gets it right and wins the war in Iraq; then in 2008: The country tired after the long but successful war against Al Qaeda elects Al Gore President of the United States.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful? (Well maybe not because in both post 1998 scenarios we get ALGORE in the White House)

I also read that bulletin from the Corners link. I also read the part where Ali Baghdadi claimed Jesus was born a Palistinian. No complaint from Rev. Wright. By the way, didn’t Rev. Wright claim Jesus was black at some point in a church bulletin ?

If all this “misspeaking” has to do with being sleep deprived, what sorts of decisions will she make during some extended national emergency, the pressures of which might affect her daily routines?

A few days ago, Amnesty International’s annual report was released.

Is this the same Amnesty International would NEVER put Mandela on it’s list because he was a terrorist and not a ‘freedom fighter’?

If all this “misspeaking” has to do with being sleep deprived, what sorts of decisions will she make during some extended national emergency, the pressures of which might affect her daily routines?
