Once again, Shillary proves that she has surrounded herself with what has become a confederacy of dunces. Well, Clinton won MA, but that’s not stopping Kennedy & Kerry from supporting Obama. She won NM, but that hasn’t made Richardson support her. Although I support Obama among the 3 in this race, the double standard is fascinating to behold.

Hopefully, this teaches the Dems not to fuck with GOP primaries 4 years from now.

Some truth right there. 300 million people in this country and we only have two choices unless some billionaire decides to run as an independent? We should have at least 6 political parties in this country. That way the public can’t be so easily anylized and pandered to, a candidate may actually have to run on his own personal views.

Imagine the possibilities. Someone who say’s “I will do” and if he/she got elected actually went and did it. At the very least, it would make being a career politician a tough proposition at best.

I wouldn’t have wanted to bet big on its getting to the present point, but like many I hoped. Now, maybe it really will happen, Hilzilla’s roaring shrieks and Obamadon’s thunderous groans, all the to Denver — maybe even beyond — all the way to November?

Just for instance, billionaire Mayor Bloomberg could run for VP on a third-party ticket with the one who loses the nomination. Bloomberg needs to be made to understand that, as VP and campaign bankroller, he would be well positioned indeed to help and influence whichever Dem to be a fantastically! better President than she or he might otherwise be, and Bloomberg of course will already understand also it is only through a third-party ticket that he could do this, the Dems will not nominate a recent Republican for VP.

The Denver convention need be nothing more than a pit stop, a speedbump, a flyspeck on the windshield.

So the will of the people is not to be taken into account? Shouldn’t the popular vote of each state decide how the delegates vote, ala the dem whining points after the 2000 election?

Then why have Super-delegates at all? If they simply follow the vote of their states they would be redundant. They were put in place to exercise independent judgment to prevent nominating candidates that can’t win the general like McGovern. Now, you may disagree with the purpose and structure, as do I, but that is their purpose, obligation and responsibility.
