Shameless liar on Bosnia: I’m only human; Video: CBS embarrasses Hillary again

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Or, failing that, he who at least hasn’t wildly exaggerated his foreign policy experience on the imbecilic premise that “if it’s too dangerous for the president, send the First Lady.”
The second clip’s my favorite. The reporter’s asking why she told an interviewer this morning that this was the first time she’d misspoken in 12 years. Exit question: McCain and Obama are also saying “millions of words” each week. How come they haven’t stumbled into any fantasias about dodging enemy fire while hugging five-year-olds on some tarmac?
Update: I mentioned in the earlier post today that she’s lied about this at least three times so far on the stump. Just how far does it go? Fresh from tonight’s CBS Evening News…

1,000,000 words a week equals 142,857 per day or 5952 per hour (that’s 24 hours a day) or 99.2 words per minute for every minute of every hour of every day of the week.
Looks like she’s embellishing again.

Somebody please explain to me why CBS has turned on the Clintons. Don’t you remember just how fanatically loyal the broadcast media was when Bill was President?
What happened?
Now they’re turning on each other like co-defendants trying to plea bargain their way out of a conviction.

I wonder what juicy tidbits the Clinton campaign will reveal about Obama next? The ball is in their court.
ctmom on March 25, 2008 at 7:46 PM
The question that hasn’t been asked.
CBS News had this video for 12 years and this is the first time we’ve seen it? They knew she was lying at least as long ago as Dec 07, why no report or video before now?
E9RET on March 25, 2008 at 7:47 PM
Um, anyone notice she’s changed her reference to “millions of words”?
First, it was “millions of words a day“. Now it’s “per week.” Did she misspeak again? But it doesn’t make any difference — neither claim is possible.
Let’s be generous and assume by “millions” she means only 2 million. To achieve that in a day would require 1850 words per minute for 18 hours. Spread that over 7 days and she’d still have to harangue us with 265 words per minute, or 4.4 words per second, for 18 hours each day.
Hillary, I’ve told you a million times per day, don’t exaggerate.
An absolutely shameless liar. In other words, a pure politician.

Well, great.
Just great.
Right when I finally decide to get onboard and root for her a little bit she unholsters her weapon and machine-guns her foot.
Swell.
I’d hate to be some poor slob of a Democrat in Pennsylvania who had to choose between these two.
Ordinarily, this would seem like get-out-the-fork time. But what I’m hoping is that maybe the voters’ll just shrug it off. After all, she’s a Clinton.
They expect her to lie.

Really,so was Frankenstein,if Hillary is concerned that
she spits out 1,000,000 words a week, and her brain can’t
keep up,I have a solution! Info Babes!
Hillary needs to surround herself with a couple of very
good looking info babes, the info babes can monitor what Hillary says and remind Hillary when she screw’s up!
Now there’s a failsafe system built into this, when Hillary
tells a real big whopper, the babes then can co-ordinate
with Slick Willy and then Slick Willy then can retire to a
comfortable area with the info babes and hammer out a responce for what Hillary actually meant to say! Haha!

This is hillaryous! She amended her story to mention the little girl on the tarmac saying that she didn’t want to be rude so she greeted the girl and grabbed the junk the girl had for her and then went back into combat mode. Now she has to face the media again tomorrow and follow that up with an explanation as to why she was posing for pictures with a seventh grade class on the tarmac right afterwards.
I’m sure she didn’t want to be rude to those kids either….lol.

I can’t believe that CBS, much less any of the main(foundering in the tar pit)media, would dare to slap the hell out of the Queen. Hillary has spent her entire life in the public forum lying her ass off and now they decide to call her on it???
You kind of have to wonder if she’s so used to spewing out this crap or can she really not help it?? Is she so used to getting away with it??
I’ll be real interested to see if she holds on to her seat in the Senate after Also-Ran Obama wins the Democrat nomination.

I don’t know hat is worse. Shillary trying to justify her lying about coming under sniper fire Tuzla, or her lackies still trying to convince everyone she DID come under sniper fire in Tuzla. I just saw Lanny Davis on the O’Reilly Factor doing his best to convince a Army Colonel who was there at the time that Shillary did come under sniper fire, when the Colonel said that there was hardly even a cough in the region when she was there that day. In the end, Davis came across looking like a complete moron. This is why Shillary is going to lose the campaign. She thinks the rest of us our idiots and then she sends out goofs like Davis who will come right out and say that we ARE idiots, even to an Army Colonel who was there that day in Tuzla and saw what really happened. No wonder Gov. Bill Richardson got turned off to the Clintons. They are dishonest, plain and simple, and I think people are finally starting to realize that.

Her only consolation at this point is having won NY, CA, OH, TX primary, FL*, MI*, and probably PA. With the expception of IL, those are the top eight states.
If Obama ends up losing the election because a blue state like PA or MI goes McCain, she’ll have a major SITYS opening.

With CBS jumping ship from the Clintons, consider the “point tippped.” Even though the MSM is behind the curve again on this issue, the fact that they are even running stories about Shrillary’s lies shows that they are cutting the loser free, lest they get dragged down along with her.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and Wes Cooley, separated at birth?
Cooley was tagged with the nickname “Wanderin’ Wes” when he first ran for the Oregon Legislative Assembly, because he moved his mobile home barely inside the election district just long enough to meet the residency requirement. He was elected to the Oregon State Senate in 1992.
Very similar.
Cooley became embroiled in controversy after it was alleged that he had made false claims about serving in the Korean War. Cooley maintained that he had indeed served in the Korean War but that he was unable to prove his claim because he had served in the top-secret Army Special Forces and had been sworn to secrecy. He also claimed that the records of his service had been “destroyed in a fire”, and that his immediate commander, Sergeant Major Clifford Poppy, had been killed in action.
A newspaper reporter tracked down the still-living Poppy, who had not been a member of the Special Forces but a drill instructor who had participated in Cooley’s basic training at boot camp. When asked about Cooley’s claims, Poppy harshly replied, “Tell him he’s a liar. Tell him Sergeant Poppy said that.”
Very similar too.
In light of these scandals and the ridicule he was suffering, Cooley was persuaded to abandon his bid for re-election in 1996, although he had gained the Republican nomination when he ran unopposed in the primary. The final straw for Cooley occurred when Greg Walden, who at the time was the chairman of the Oregon Republican Party, announced that he would run for the seat as an independent, thus splitting the Republican vote and virtually guaranteeing a Democratic victory.
Cooley’s decision to withdraw from the 1996 congressional contest was a welcome relief to Oregon Republicans, as it allowed the Republican Party to substitute a much stronger nominee, former Congressman Robert F. Smith, who came out of retirement to win the 1996 election (upon the announcement of Smith’s candidacy, Smith’s good friend Walden had immediately dropped out of the campaign and endorsed him).
Not similar.
Two out of three.

aniladesai on March 25, 2008 at 10:39 PM
Actually, from what I can tell here in PA, most of the Dems are not too tuned in to what their favored candidate is saying.
A recent radio clip of Madame Hillary’s speech to a rather large crowd in the economically depressed Fayette County area had her getting cheers from mindless robots for promising energy independence. Good grief! Coal mining is one of the industries promising jobs to these people. Yet even with clean, green coal extraction technology, it is impossible to counteract the Democrats’ objections and hamstringing in the name of environmental protection. The poor schlubs cheering Hillary! need the jobs and the energy, and all she was offering was boilerplate.

Now maybe someone CBS can explain why they haven’t reported on this years-long tendency on the part of the Clintons to tell lies before now?
