Phenomenal! You get it. McCain will destroy the Dhimmicrat nominee for precisely the same reasons why most of the HA crowd doesn’t like him. Plus we’d rather go have a beer with McCain than the Obamanation anyway.

I think a lot of hard core conservatives underestimate McCain’s appeal to the vast independent middle of the electorate that don’t study politics at the day to day granular level that we do. You are missing the forest for the trees. The guy has been a high profile politician for at least the last 10 years and still has a much better favorable/unfavorable ratio than either of the Dems, despite the nearly ubiquitously favorable treatment Obama gets from the MSM. McCain is beating them head to head in the swing states, including places like Pennsylvania that have gone Dem the last two elections. That’s not an accident. The apolitical middle doesn’t really know or care about his specific policy positions. They just know he’s a tough old patriotic SOB who will kick ass for America if he has to, while Obama is a latte sipping weenie and Hillary is a shrill power mad harridan. They can vote for McCain without feeling like they have become a “conservative” and taken a side in the partisan divide because of the distance he has kept from the GOP establishment.

I think a non race based analogy is more apt–Archie Bunker and Meathead.

That said, I despise politicians for this very nature. As far as the cause of race, I think the speech was barely a net gain, but he did make plenty of concessions albeit with minor caveats that many would miss. But the speech really meant nothing to me, since it is not so much what he thinks about race or what his pastor says, but what his policies are. I don’t think that European Socialism, the continual descent into mediocrity that we have taken for at least the past one hundred years, will raise the status of living of any race, let alone the realization of potential for all races.

At least we will have saved ourselves from the immediate destruction,globalization and islamization of the United States…

At least with Hillary we will have until maybe mid 2009 before our cities get hit with muslim nukes and she forms the Communist States of America.

My money is on Louie Farrakhan.

Last week, he was up only one point in the same poll a week ago–although the results aren’t strictly comparable because RPP expanded its universe of “likely” voters this week to include all 2006 general election participants.

LOL. Probably more so. Imagine how guilty they must feel that their state is less than 1% black. Their racism must be powerful up there. On the other hand, maybe some of the southern states that feel guilty about not having enough white people can send money to Maine.

Doesn’t say much for the intelligence of the voters if they still support Obama after the Wright episode. If Obama didn’t agree with Wright, why did he stay in that church for 20 years?

I’ve been calling the voters ‘idiots’ and I didn’t get much support here.

And I’ve been saying that Hussein is playing the race card, that he hates America, long before his pastor’s story broke out, and I didn’t get much support either.
