Hey AP, sorry for the OT post, but what RSS reader do you use? I’m a linux guy and I’m playing with liferea at the mo, but I have my niggles.

I was listening to the news at the top of the hour on the radio, and it wasn’t presented this way at all…they just played the blurb about naivete…

Don’t worry — this quote will surely find it’s way into some ghey flappy-headed DNC cartoon.

Naiveté is too kind of a word. I choose stupidity as the correct description of the democrat candidates fear of winning a war that we did not start, but are damn sure finishing.
What kind of inspiration are the democrat candidates offering.
Inspire to fail, inspire to lose, inspire to capitulate to our enemies.
What kind of administration will that inspire? /obvious

Stupid is as stupid does.

Although McCain has consistently sickened me and most other conservatives, the two-headed freak that comprises the democrat’s choice(s) for President is truly horrific.

Just a few comments:
First:
Ummmmm……. Chula Vista, CA is south of San Diego near the Mexican border. Maybe the writer was in Palm Springs, but McCain was in San Diego today.
Second, which quote will be running in the next issue of Time Mag?
or
Take your time, this is not a timed test.

Just use Firefox with the Sage extension. It’s simple, efficient, convenient, and you can use it on either windows or linux.
c6gunner on March 24, 2008 at 11:11 PM
I like Linux. I’ve got it on my laptop as a dual boot. And Open Office is a great alternative to MicroSoft.
But I digress. McCain needs to put this out there. The MSM won’t do it, so he’s got to play it up. I wish Chuck Hagel would shut up.
Kini on March 24, 2008 at 11:13 PM
Well yeah. They’ll sure take a few minutes off and sheath the long knives they’re using on each other the acknowledge that yes, as a matter of fact, the enemy agrees that Iraq is not a distraction but the central theater of the war.
I’ll sure be waiting on that.
Typhoon on March 24, 2008 at 11:16 PM
Thanks for the tip c6gunner, I’ll check it out. My only concern is “how does it scale?”. The reason I asked AP is that I presume he has a ton of feeds to track, and therefore needs something that performs.

Nor IDE fights, language fights, framework fights etc…
I leave that rambunctiousness to the youngsters ;)

When one finds himself in agreement with Osama bin Laden, one needs to pause and reflect.
MB4 on March 24, 2008 at 11:27 PM
Uhm…not! They won’t touch this with a 10ft pole because they are invested in defeat and admitting Iraq IS key would undermine their already miniscule credibility.

I’m a Linux Zealot on a holy jihad to purge non-FOSS from the planet. When I gave my 80 year old mother a computer to surf the web, it was a Linux Gentoo box.
thuja on March 24, 2008 at 11:46 PM
That’s it.
John McCain just ended his career earlier than expected.
I thought he would wait until November, but I guess the guy is so eager to play Bingo with his fellow Vets here in Florida.
How can you say that you agree with Obama Bin Laden and win the Presidency?
McCain thinks people will not pay attention?
Allahpundit made it the “quote of the day.”
I think from now on, John McCain should stick to domestic policy like teen pregnancy and kids having sex with teachers.
What’s going on, by the way?
Why so many young female teachers are sexually exploiting and exploring young boys?
I thought that field belonged to some of my Catholic Church’s priests.
Seriously, why these young women have their estrogen so high?
Is it Global Warming?
Is it Bush?
Recently, even today in the news, another teacher had sex with a kid. It makes four in a week.
Is this normal?
Is it Florida heat?
Is it Rush Limbaugh?
Is it Drudge?
Again, McCain should shift gears and start working on introducing a law that would impose the neutering of female teachers especially those who range from from age 18 to 50.
Either you neuter these young teachers or you spay the kids.

American Enterprise Institute has a killer panel on C-Span tonight – they are so good at explaining what is going on over there and why it’s important. They have a better basis for their opinions and I wish we saw more of them as guests on prime time shows. I’m investing in Iraqi dinars and not carbon credits, damn it!!

I am pretty sure in some military textbook somewhere, it says ‘don’t let the enemy dictate where the battlefield is,’ or the terms of the battlefield for that matter.
On the other hand, to have your enemy follow you around the muslim world is also a bit of a bad strategy, at some point you want to have them running from you not following you.
PresidenToor on March 25, 2008 at 2:19 AM
There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare. Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy’s strategy.

McCain was being satirical, tongue in cheek.
I think grownups (18 and over) who can pass the DMV test, and who are then supposedly competent enough to register and vote, can figure that out.
silverfox on March 25, 2008 at 4:41 AM
I know what satirical and tongue-in-cheek are.
Satirical? Nope.
Tongue-in-cheek? Nope.
Flippant? Yes.
Cutesy? Well he probably thought so anyway, but then at his age ….
Nothing complicated here.
MB4 on March 25, 2008 at 4:59 AM
OK, let’s be clear.
I was being satirical.
McCain was serious.
In fact, few days ago, I said that I do agree with Bin Laden that Iraq is a strategic location to launch attack against the West and the countries of the region.
I was serious when I said that Al-Qaeda will take over once America withdraw from Iraq.
It was not satirical from my part, nor from Bin Laden.
I do agree with McCain about Iraq’s position-location-role concerning the war on Islamic terrorism represented by Al-Qaeda.
I was just being satirical in today’s message, just to be funny.

Fallaci had plenty to say in The Force of Reason of how the Blacks (the former Mussolini fascists), the Reds (the Communists), and the Lefty-liberal-multi-culti rainbow crowd have led to the creation of Eurabia. The invasion of Muslim illegals guaranteed social support/welfare and even voting rights, as well as enclaves within towns with their own sharia law, have allowed cells to flourish.
Muslim fascism intends to maintain its hegemony both by the sword and the battlefield, in addition to through exploitation of weaknesses in open, free societies through the naivete of the can’t-we-all-get-along crowd.

I couldn’t agree more. Let me know if you figure out a way to prosecute a war without offending the sensibilities of the people we’re protecting so we can do that.
blankminde on March 25, 2008 at 11:26 AM
I guess some of you critcal conservatives are too dense to recognize parody when you see it. Besides McCains comment is tied to his later statement that the major parties in the conflict understanding that Iraq is the central and critical area in the struggle between radical Islam and the west. Sorry that I have to explain that to you.

Where was Holy Joe when the Saint spoke out?
I said before “Mc’s gotta keep Joe close”!
If we wish to fight, the enemy can be forced to an engagement even though he be sheltered behind a high rampart and a deep ditch. [Green Zone, anyone?]
All we need do is attack some other place that he will be obliged to relieve. [Roadside bombs and IEDs]
-Sun Tzu; Weak points and strong.
Actually yesterday someone laid 7 or 8 or more rounds of indirect fire into the Green Zone. Smoke could be seen rising from miles away.

alphie, What were the names of the [3] reporters you sent in a previous post as “just putting us on”?
For some unknown reason good olde HA doesn’t archive everything we post…?
“Yon, Roggio and the third?”
Thanks, and best regards!

I should modify the above… “for perusal or online access and review” HA especially likes to “disappear” posts concerning the present really fine Bush Administration, consumer confidance, commercial banking… economic situation!
