Ariana was a conservative in the 1990s, when she thought she could ride Michael’s millions into life as the wife of a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C., and position herself to be the Republicans’ version of Hillary Clinton. When she screwed that up and became the female George Castanza by turning her husband gay, she wandered about for several years trying to find a new base of power and discovered that rich Hollywood celebrities like Warren Beatty will think you’re a sage and toss money at you if you stroke their egos and tell them what great political instincts they have.

But to really get in good with these people and become their ideological leader, she had to share pretty much the same ideology with the ones the most in need of ego stroking. So for Huffington, beliefs are simply something to be adjusted to fit whatever gives you the most power — in this case, the power comes being the beneficent host of all their dreck, paranoid conspiracy theories and Bush Derangement Syndrome rantings at the Huffington Post, which is basically The Daily Kos for people rich enough to periodically have their septums recaulked after excessive substance abuse.

In an interview aired on Al-Arabiya TV on January 18, 2008, former Islamic Army in Iraq leader Abu ‘Azzam Al-Tamimi said that Iran is indeed training and arming al-Qaeda in Iraq. Essentially, McCain's mistake was no mistake. My husband is active duty Army and came back from Baghdad last month. He confirmed to me that Iran is helping al-Qaeda in Iraq. Essentially the friend of my enemy is my friend.

She has been bitter and hateful since that time and just keeps getting worse.
