Not the worst fan video we’ve seen this campaign season, but close. Darned close.

I’m suffering, and you know what that means. Rules are rules.

I did laugh, so not all lost.

If I suffer, you have to suffer too. That’s just the way this dysfunctional little blog relationship we have works.

COLD.

Spirit of 1776 on March 21, 2008 at 8:54 PM

Why?….WHY!? At least “Hillary 4 U and Me” was sung in tune, this was just painful.

SDnocoen on March 21, 2008 at 8:55 PM

H i l a r i o u s !

jgapinoy on March 21, 2008 at 8:57 PM

rofl!

Hallelujah, it’s raining McCain!

Connie on March 21, 2008 at 8:58 PM

*stunned, silent stare, mouth agape*

*snaps out of it*

I’m a big McCain supporter…but I swear this was made by some Dem and passed off as a McCain-supporter vid. Either that or the Paulbots found a new hobby. It just has to be, and you can’t make me think otherwise.

But if not, McCain needs a “Homemade Campaign Video Outreach”…

JetBoy on March 21, 2008 at 8:59 PM

How old is that lady on the left -at least 60??? What was she thinking????

HawaiiLwyr on March 21, 2008 at 9:01 PM

I REEEEEEFUSE to subject myself to this. Sorry, Allah. You can suffer alone on this one. :)

Love you. Mean it.

tickleddragon on March 21, 2008 at 9:02 PM

Get on your bikes and ride!

The Ugly American on March 21, 2008 at 9:03 PM

Ouch! Simon would pulled a gun and put these girls out of their misery!

I’ll vote for McCain if you’ll.just.stop.singing! (Planned to anyway, but they don’t need to make it more painful than it already is.)

michaelo on March 21, 2008 at 9:03 PM

This almost qualifies as a “Dude” post…

JetBoy on March 21, 2008 at 9:05 PM

It’s just like Obamagirl, except more bonerkilling.

Chuck Schick on March 21, 2008 at 9:09 PM

I could only get about 1/2 way through before I baled. Needed to rewatch “Ridin’ Dirty in Iraq” to clear my head.

TheCulturalist on March 21, 2008 at 9:10 PM

I NEED an avatar-sized animated gif of that woman washing her face with a miniature John McCain raindrop.

Typhonsentra on March 21, 2008 at 9:14 PM

You got something against chubbies?

JiangxiDad on March 21, 2008 at 9:15 PM

What not to do parts 1 through 17.

- The Cat

MirCat on March 21, 2008 at 9:15 PM

I’m glad I ate long enough ago to have digested.

But now my eyeballs hurt.

Kowboy on March 21, 2008 at 9:15 PM

P.S. Simon died a little inside

MirCat on March 21, 2008 at 9:16 PM

…… the worst part?

After Allah’s,

“I’m suffering, and you know what that means.”

The older ladies pants started fading away against the blue screen in the back, and for a moment I thought, “Oh Dear God, NOOOOOO!!!!

Seven Percent Solution on March 21, 2008 at 9:17 PM

tickleddragon on March 21, 2008 at 9:02 PM

Good choice

I made it to 27 seconds and had to bail.

F15Mech on March 21, 2008 at 9:17 PM

Kay, ya make this video…but after you watch it…you actually upload this thing to YouTube.

YIKES!!

ihasurnominashun on March 21, 2008 at 9:22 PM

Errrrr….that was a satire, wasn’t it?

TooTall on March 21, 2008 at 9:22 PM

But now my eyeballs hurt.

Kowboy on March 21, 2008 at 9:15 PM

And so are my ears…

Hog Wild on March 21, 2008 at 9:24 PM

reminds me of that lady with the terrible voice doing a clinton video to the tune of the laverne & shirley theme song. that was equally horrid !

darkegop on March 21, 2008 at 9:25 PM

Allah hates us.

Zorro on March 21, 2008 at 9:25 PM

Yeah, but you all will be singing it in the morning.

Connie on March 21, 2008 at 9:27 PM

FAIL.

SouthernDem on March 21, 2008 at 9:34 PM

Allah hates us.

Zorro on March 21, 2008 at 9:25 PM

Nahh…it’s just a bit of “tough love”…really tough sometimes :-)

JetBoy on March 21, 2008 at 10:05 PM

Oh good lord.

Mattpat11 on March 21, 2008 at 10:09 PM

Arrrrrggggghhhhh! That was so awful! I had to cowboy up and hold my head together in order to watch it. I almost bailed after about 20 seconds. Now I know I should have.

imshocked on March 21, 2008 at 10:14 PM

I have a cure for this post, Allah, a little “Best of MKH”, and she uses the word…….. nekkid!

Maybe this will catch on, ……. after all?

Seven Percent Solution on March 21, 2008 at 10:26 PM

I can assure you that what was falling from the sky here in MO this past week was not McCain. It was real water and I have the wet carpet from my basement out by the curb to prove it. Dang!

kahall on March 21, 2008 at 10:38 PM

Seven Percent Solution on March 21, 2008 at 10:26 PM

Thanks. MKH is a great cure all. I feel much better now.

imshocked on March 21, 2008 at 10:40 PM

This should’ve been a dude post

Baphomet on March 21, 2008 at 10:56 PM

Further proof that Allah is an atheist.

FishFearMe on March 21, 2008 at 11:11 PM

Allah,

For making me watch this I say:

Damn you….. damn you to hell.

Roger Waters on March 21, 2008 at 11:13 PM

I thought it was pretty funny. And at some points during the song, I thought they hit a few notes on key.

USBB on March 21, 2008 at 11:18 PM

Oh my G!D,what this needs is
a huge bag full of COW BELL!He he.

And there should have been an ear
muffs warning!

canopfor on March 21, 2008 at 11:34 PM

There isn’t enough liquor in the universe to get me to do that sort of thing.

Or any other intoxicant.

Bob's Kid on March 21, 2008 at 11:48 PM

I don’t know if I was laughing at them or with them, but I was LOL.

jgapinoy on March 21, 2008 at 11:50 PM

Silly boys. Here’s the cure for this one.

Ain’t nothin’ like the real thing, baby.

Meryl Yourish on March 21, 2008 at 11:52 PM

All together, that’s about seven hundred pounds of endorsement (almost as much as Bill Richardson’s). I hope they perform at the convention!

Tzetzes on March 22, 2008 at 12:21 AM

Silly boys. Here’s the cure for this one.

Ain’t nothin’ like the real thing, baby.

Meryl Yourish on March 21, 2008 at 11:52 PM

Ah, now it makes sense (sort of). Funny how spoofs don’t really work unless you know the original. (Like this one.)

Tzetzes on March 22, 2008 at 12:26 AM

What a great screen-saver that McCain-rain would make!

Tzetzes on March 22, 2008 at 12:30 AM

(sobbing quietly in a corner) Why, Allah? WHY?!

aero on March 22, 2008 at 12:38 AM

I was enjoying it until the floating McCain head. Before I could completely shake it off, the lead singer began washing her face with McCain.

I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight.

Skidd on March 22, 2008 at 12:42 AM

Sometimes I think that McCain supporters want to lose.

Dollayo on March 22, 2008 at 12:42 AM

uh … no

This is THE worst

Ludwig on March 22, 2008 at 12:45 AM

The only reason I sat through that was to see if they ever gave that brunette on the right any real camera time. It didn’t happen and she was the only one worth looking at!
AP, you’re a bad bad man!

Vntnrse on March 22, 2008 at 1:23 AM

Actually I liked it. Just bad enough to be great. Plus it gets the Spunky Big Gal vote, which in America is, er, huge.

I say that with love and as a closeted Spunky Big Gal myself.

Rosmerta on March 22, 2008 at 1:38 AM

That was so cute! Miss Sparkly Pants was really enjoying being on camera. I think my fav part, though, had to be the disembodied McCain head floating around. That was pretty funny, you gotta give them that.

JustTruth101 on March 22, 2008 at 1:41 AM

KP sent this to you? No, no she did not…

Theworldisnotenough on March 22, 2008 at 2:37 AM

Function is infinitely more important than form.

I like the fact that they’re normal, average women and not some centerfold fantasy wanna-bes.

I only wish that they could sing. That’s the function which they are missing.

Theophile on March 22, 2008 at 3:40 AM

LOL! AT first my stomach was turning, but I had to laugh out loud when it actually started “raining McCain.” That is so epic =P I really wish they had at least attempted to sing though…

Also, wearing green pants in front of greenscreen = fail.

What a great screen-saver that McCain-rain would make!

Tzetzes on March 22, 2008 at 12:30 AM

YES! Someone make it, please??? I’m not a McCain fan, but it would just be hilarious.

emmaline1138 on March 22, 2008 at 3:47 AM

Get on your bikes and ride!

I’ll take obscure Queen lyrics that cause coffee to spew through one’s nose for $1000 Alex…

UncleOlaf on March 22, 2008 at 8:14 AM

You guys don’t get it!

McCain appeals to regular folks–middle-aged, chunky, whatever–everyone can identify with these gals!

PattyJ on March 22, 2008 at 11:16 AM

I am so glad this wasn’t the “Two Candidates One Cup” video…

Chap on March 22, 2008 at 12:03 PM

everyone can identify with these gals!

PattyJ on March 22, 2008 at 11:16 AM

But no one would vote for them on American Idol. AP, why must we suffer too? It’s going to take a hefty dose of something funny to wash the taste of the McCain girls out of my mouth.

darii on March 22, 2008 at 12:54 PM

I agree with both of the posts above. I think it is precious! Funny and cute. Thanks for the smile, AP.

squeek71 on March 22, 2008 at 12:59 PM

Is this part of some prison rehab program?

RushBaby on March 22, 2008 at 1:16 PM

All that I get from this watching this video is PAIN!

TDBURN on March 22, 2008 at 1:46 PM

Can’t get my big toe to fit through the trigger gaurd on my Winchester…

christophercube on March 22, 2008 at 4:41 PM

I’m pretty sure at least one of the women in that video was deaf. It’s nice to see that she feels like nothing holds her back. You go deaf girl.

Mormon Doc on March 22, 2008 at 10:54 PM

Which reminds me (and this is actually true) that I have lost 47lbs with Weight Watchers.

…um… ladies?

Mojave Mark on March 23, 2008 at 1:38 AM

At least two of these gals are tone deaf, and all three are what the PC types call “vocally-challenged.”

Hasn’t anyone ever told them about lip-synching?? It would be a lot less painful for everyone involved.

landlines on March 23, 2008 at 1:40 AM

No, no. Just NO!
