The Ed Morrissey Show: John Lott, Minnesota Health Care
posted at 1:30 pm on March 20, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), John Lott joins us to give us the breakdown on oral arguments at the Supreme Court for the DC gun ban case. He debated Paul Helmke on the ban, and we’ll ask him how that debate went. In the second half, the Lady Logician joins us to talk about the effort to impose single-payer health care in Minnesota, and what that means for the national health-care debate.

Ed,
When you were talking to Rick Moran, you said (paraphrasing heavily).
“I know your web site is called RightWingNuthouse, but you are actually very moderate”.
“You’re not like…”
“You’re not like…”
Is the word that you are seeking “Allahpundit”?
:-)

Uh, no. AP is a pretty clearheaded center-right blogger as well. He’s not a dishthrower.

I listened to the first part of your show today. Very interesting.
You made a point that the right of free speech was regulated by “not yelling fire in a crowded theatre mbecause people could get trampled, not disclosing classified material…”.
However, the government doesn’t sever your vocal cords lest you yell fire in a crowded theatre or disclose classified materials. It punishes you afterward if you commit those unlawful acts. By comparison, gun regulation “severs the vocal cords” of law-abiding citizens, but not criminals.

The audio quality of blogtalkradio is ghastly. Like listening to a bad telephone line. I tried to listen, but couldn’t stand it after a few minutes.
Any way of improving it? I’m not suffering that crap again.
