Awesome: Wright was an invited guest of the Clintons at the White House; Update: “How pathetic”

Photographic evidence, taken three years to the day before the chickens … came home … to roost. Is Billy Jeff’s culpability in not thoroughly vetting his audience the same as Obama’s in patronizing a hate merchant for 20 years? Not remotely, but anything that makes the Clintons squirm is worth linking. Throw that Hail Mary, Messiah!
Double bonus: There’s an opening here for the left to rub Bush’s face in his own poor audience vetting. Think they’ll use it? C’mon, guys — there’s even a common point of reference! Exit question: Doesn’t this give Hillary a disincentive to prove that Wright’s been saying crazy stuff for decades? If so, then not only should Obama have known but so should the Clintons’ own WH aides.
Update: Incidentally, is this a tacit admission that associating with Wright is improper and scandal-worthy? Triple bonus!
Update: “Isn’t it funny that previous bad Democratic behavior is being used by the media to excuse current Democratic bad behavior?”
Update: Heh. Indeed.

No wonder Hillary hasn’t been condemning Obama over Wright.
This story just keeps getting better and better.
irish_infidel on March 20, 2008 at 8:32 PM
Guess this is why Ms. Clinton has been so silent on this issue. Is there any difference between any Democrats? Man, woman, black, white, brown; under the skin they are all identical…
Keemo on March 20, 2008 at 8:33 PM
This was back when Reverend Jackson was ministering to Slick. Speaking of which, how close are Jackson and Wright?
I figure Wright and Sharpton must be well acquainted considering Wright’s daughter is on Sharpton’s payroll.
JammieWearingFool on March 20, 2008 at 8:35 PM
Hillary doesn’t have to say anything. She has Ferarro, who can point to this as personal, running amuck for her. I will admit the image of Hillary’s conflict on the matter is enjoyable.
a capella on March 20, 2008 at 8:35 PM
There is absolutely nothing one could say about Billy Jeff that would surprise me. The Clintons would sell each other for body parts if they thought it would further their personal and political agendas.
rplat on March 20, 2008 at 8:36 PM
So, Rev Wright had no problem associating with the man who was the ultimate head of the CIA? Did he ask President Clinton to knock it off with the drug dealing and AIDS creating?
18-1 on March 20, 2008 at 8:36 PM
Don’t think this will hurt much, if at all. The Clintons and Dem’s cultivating black race haters isn’t news. Hillary could never use any of this Wright stuff against Obama herself. She can only make it available to innocent people like the American public in order for the outrage to be authentic.
What will people say to this, that she’s a crass opportunist who used the black community? Seems like it’s only black people who don’t readily acknowledge that these days.
JiangxiDad on March 20, 2008 at 8:36 PM
She hasn’t said anything so far, for whatever reason, so I don’t think she’ll change stride. Maybe she has decided to take the high road like McCain.

This guy is a small fry in big Dem circles. He’s kept around to indoctrinate. It’s a political tactic they use to recruit and keep dem voters.

This Rev. Wright stuff doesn`t matter anymore. Olby is reporting some State Dept. officals were looking in on Obama`s passport.
Election over, all hail the Messiah.
ThePrez on March 20, 2008 at 8:47 PM
Oh come on.
The dems cater to all the race pimps and hustlers, and don’t discriminate, just as long as they deliver votes.
The problem is with the entire democrat party and the dumbasses who keep on voting for them.

And the proof of the Rev being in the White House was that he was caught with a bunch of typewriter “W”’s in his pocket.

If Obama is Lincoln, then Wright is his voting Booth.

Oh, so that should be a surprise?
Chinese lobbyists?
Sex with interns?
Illegally campaigning from the White House?
This doesn’t surpise me.

Birds of a feather, watch where the poop falls.

Maybe this was when Billy Jeff told Rev. Wright all about ridin’ dirty with Monica.
BrianBoru on March 20, 2008 at 9:05 PM
Everyone wonders why Mav is being so nice to both of these morons. It’s easy, just get out of the way let em’ embarrass themselves then shred the one left standing. It’s really not that complicated folks. War Hero Moderate vs. Racist Radical or Crooked wife of former Crooked President. Also, people who want to use the AGE issue. LOL. Please do dems, cause seniors are always the largest voting block and even more so now since the baby boomer influx into the retiree block. again, Reagan v. Mondale part II

Wright was just there explaining to the Clintons what it’s like having a taxi drive past a Black guy.

Hah!

I’m putting this on most every post on HA because I think it’s that important; every American should be required to watch this.
This is the nail in Obama’s coffin. If he doesn’t drop out after this, it will prove he’s the total narcissist I believe him to be.

Chuck Schick on March 20, 2008 at 9:48 PM
Their was an obvious connection between Billy Jeff and Rev. Wright that brought them together.
They both were used to people before them getting down on their knees.

So it’s GD America…until you get an invitation to lunch at the White House?
PattyJ on March 20, 2008 at 10:27 PM
You know, I have to ask, what will a Democratic actually have to do? I mean what horrific, unimaginable line will have to be crossed to snap these humans out of their lock step, nothing matters, as long as we are in power mind set?
I’m almost afraid to ask, but I ask it anyway…….

I guess I can delete all the episodes of Young & the Restless from the DVR. This is better than soaps!

So. Is this Al Gore’s cue?
And as far as Bush and CAIR go, whereas Bush has been notoriously naive about them, CAIR is revered by the clueless left.
Connie on March 20, 2008 at 10:40 PM
I don’t know if Wright’s church is affiliated with the United Church of Christ, but having visited one over a period of a few years (we know the pastor), I can tell you it is not far from Wright’s views. You can check out the church* on the web:
http://www.ucc.org/about-us/
*Jesus’ words have been stretched and reshaped to fit the Left’s beliefs. UCC is just about the same as Metropolitan Community Church, which is a GLBLT organization.

Oh, the irony is getting really thick with this hate-filled preacher and the democrats. A ton of irony and a deluge of hypocracy! I love it!
bluestater on March 20, 2008 at 11:42 PM
You & I can see that it’s much more, uh, damning to have had a twenty-year relationship with the hatemonger than to have one photo op with him. But to emotion-based Dems, it’s all the same.
jgapinoy on March 20, 2008 at 11:46 PM
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel a thrill going up my leg.
NorthernCross on March 21, 2008 at 12:03 AM
This was seriously the stupidest thing the Obama campaign could have done.
1. It refocuses attention on the whole Wright issue just as the passport thing was threatening to become a story;
2. It implies that being associated with Wright is a bad thing, as AP pointed out; and
3. It gives critics an opening to point out how much more damaging a 20-year relationship is than a 1-day stand.
Obama is seriously self-destructing over this one issue. How is he going to handle REAL vetting after the convention?
Math_Mage on March 21, 2008 at 3:29 AM
If I were Shillary, right after I finished strangling Bubba Billy for inviting this loudmouthed racist over in the first place, I would be practicing for my concession speech when it comes time for me to sing ,
“We’ll meet again!
Don’t know where!
Don’t know when!
But I know we’ll meet again,
Some sunny day!”
Because I think for her, after the pro-Obama media is finished running this latest snafu of hers into the ground, the campaign is long since over.
pilamaye on March 21, 2008 at 7:07 AM
Clinton will dismiss the photo op as ” I’ve taken millions of photos with people I can’t recall. ” blahblah, end of script.
tx2654 on March 21, 2008 at 7:21 AM
Oh please no, not that bony finger again! That pic qualifies for the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate award, saluting actual dubious achievements by the government or famous people (for those of you who don’t remember Laugh-In).
Brat on March 21, 2008 at 8:29 AM
The real question is…. When Obama loses the nomination to Hillary, will the black vote still go 90% to the Democrat?
The Dems are urinating in their own wheaties.
roux on March 21, 2008 at 9:21 AM
Hardly surprising that Barak “denounces” the words of Rev. Wright but refuses to denounce the man. Hardly surprising that the Clintons pander to Rev. Wright.
Paranoid conspiracy theorists are the ideological base of the Democrat party.
Rev. Wright and his followers are just the African American chapter of Code Pink.
Angry Dumbo on March 21, 2008 at 10:12 AM
Just like in every movie out of Hollywood, the black guy almost makes it to the end and dies so the white guy survives.
Don’t blame the Clintons, blame Hollywood.

Interesting how Obama’s embarrassing associates also show up with the Clintons. First Rezko, now Wright.

OMG, I had to stop reading the quotes of the ‘repentant’ BJ, I don’t want to hurl today. I’m trying not to recall Swaggart and Jimmy Baker’s tearful confessions as well.
3 years TO THE DAY. Hm, hmm, hmmm, I’m not a believer in coincidence, but that’s not the important part of this story. That’s up for grabs but my offering is that Billy was so ‘real’ in his remorse that he had to shake the hand of a black racist to make it all ok…If Wright had been a woman with a large bust line, Billy would not have looked away. ‘Repentance’ only goes so far with a multi-addicted sociopath.
