Exactly Bigfoot, yet the left continues to think we’re the bad guys in all of this despite the fact our military constantly takes the high road and doing all it can to avoid civilian deaths where our enemy continues to indiscriminately kill many, many civilians…yet this azz hat has the nerve to talk about etiquette in warfare! It would be laughable if it weren’t so disgusting, but what do I expect from someone that thinks it’s ok to kill 3,000 innocent people.

While I hope the scum bag OBL is dead I would rather see his dead, lifeless body and/or his head on a stake before I’m convinced.

I agree, he’s buried under a mountain in Tora Bora (you know, where Kerry screamed that Bush ‘outsourced’ American jobs!). While I’m not quite as cynical as LegendHasIt, there are good reasons to keep him “alive,” the martyrdom being only one.

We’ve seen little video from him, and that has been obviously spliced stuff, and the audio can be anyone, just listen to any FM Morning Show DJs doing their skits.

Even if one thinks he’s alive, look at even the Muslim world’s view of him. If we didn’t kill him, we’ve actually done worse: Marginalized him, and made him irrelevant.

But just about everyone has a vested interest in keeping him ‘alive’.

Bush & co because if they admit he is dead, All the dems will demand that he shut down the ‘war on terror’ completely, not just Iraq.

The Dem Politicians are keeping him ‘alive’ so they can bash Bush with “You never got Bin Laden.” and a gullible public will believe them.

All the Intel agencies in the world are keeping him ‘alive’ to keep their budgets flowing ever larger. (Plus in the CIA, the additional reason that the Dem pols: to make Bush look bad.

Our military “chairborne brass ” are keeping him ‘alive’ for budgetary and manpower allocation purposes.

The media is keeping him ‘alive’ for the Bush bashing aspect, as well as for viewership / circulation ratings by ocasionally trotting out the biggest boogey man they can get to scare people.

The Islamofascists are keeping him ‘alive’ to ‘tweak the nose of the great satan’ and to avoid depressing their own people, future recruits and even run of the mill non bomb wearing muslims; If Osama were admitted to be dead, it would show their weakness and show that Allah can’t protect even one major figure. PLUS, keeping him ‘alive’ makes us waste money and energy chasing Bin Dead Ladin when we should be concentrating on their important guys who AREN’T dead.

To get competant private sector forces like Blackwater involved we’d have to offer so much money that it’d be cheaper to send in our own. Of course that’s just a man who dreams of having a letter of marque and reprisal on his person every day.

C’mon. I know there’s enough libertarian in you to know that bounty-hunting is better handled by the private sector than by the military. $1 billion dollars on Osama’s head would produce results, and would be damn cheap.

Too bad we don’t have the same calibre intel agency to go along with it.

Perhaps a “fifth anniversary” doesn’t have the significance in Arabic culture that it does with us, and therefore Bin Laden didn’t think it deserved a new video. But the long silence from Osama — I can’t even remember the last time we had anythin…

Does anyone believe that our military would really release their actual analysis of a purported Bin Ladin message to the general public? A competent military with a functioning propaganda unit would release exactly what they want the enemy to think we believe….nothing more, nothing less.

And we have the world’s most competent military.

Are these “messages” still coming on audio cassettes? What will they do when there are no more audio cassette players available?

Really though, he must be dead. When your lstuck in acave for the rest of your life you can record a video saying Bush will be gone soon even if there are still to years to go. You have a lot of time to look ahead. I really think the guy is gone.

And I mean, at least 12 to 6 months old.
