Video: Gingrich lowers the boom on Obama

Nothing here you haven’t heard before, for the simple reason that even a third-grader can grasp the basic issue. Obama’s a craven liar who tolerated racism for years and then suddenly decided it was intolerable, not when he first started running for president but when ABC News finally crammed this verbal feces down his gullet, thereby warranting an “historic,” ass-saving speech to preserve his candidacy. Liberals are only too happy to believe it’s all part of his grand strategy to heal America by accruing power to himself. Gingrich thinks otherwise. Why? Because he’s a racist, silly, that’s why.

This episode doesn’t just expose Obama’s craven lust for power. It exposes the entire Left’s craven lust for power, with the New York Times leading the parade.

Their self-righteous finger wagging about everyone being a racist who doesn’t subscribe to their socialist agenda has always rung hollow. But now that ring blares quite deafeningly.

I think this is an assumption on AP’s part. In my judgment, clearly a false one. He didn’t think it was wise to bring them up to light until absolutely necessary.

If Obama thought this, then why did he give Wright such a prominant place in his campaign?

If you think something is wrong you either try to change it, or you distance yourself from it. You don’t embrace it.

Obama embraced it.

Truth is Drum, your kind has been exposed as blaming America for the evil that exists around the world, both today and before there was an America; your kind has been exposed for being the party of racism (supporting this man and his racist wife brings closure to this issue); your kind has been exposed for it’s hatred of anything military; your kind has been exposed for having goals of changing American traditions (1-tradition at a time) from the bench and through the media.

The Democrat Party has been exposed for being anti-American in so many ways, your people are not even fighting this label anymore. Liberals are constantly unhappy people, living on quick fixes. I was taught to pray for people such as these; I do so, but I must admit that my heart is not in it. I have you people in the same category with evil; you must be defeated if “good” is to conquer over “evil”.

Keemo on March 19, 2008 at 8:32 AM

Finally, Obama suggested that if Wright is occasionally angry, he has a right to be, as does the community he serves. And if white Americans are startled to witness that anger, they haven’t been paying attention.

That was a risky message, but one that counted on a reliable well of white guilt. Then Obama took another pre-emptive gamble and implored Americans to look at Wright’s anger, rather than avert their gaze, and to embrace that anger as a prompt to change.

In other words, he artfully shifted focus from his still-perplexing relationship with Wright to our own dark hearts. The choice is ours, he said:

We can focus on one ol’ crazy uncle who sometimes gets a little carried away — and in so doing, destroy the audacity of hope. Or, we can keep our nation’s date with destiny, fulfill the dream imagined 221 years ago to form a more perfect union.

And elect Barack Obama.

As Al Gore once stated “he’s playing on our guilt”….. Problem is, I don’t have guilt involving racism.

Keemo on March 19, 2008 at 8:54 AM

If Obama’s pastor is sucha an anti white racist,, then is not Obama as well?? How was this white hating anti American pastor going to be repaid once Obama became President? A cabinet post? Chief of staff? Once Obama became president,, would the real white hating Obama suddenly appear?
What a place we find ourselves in! A brainless communist twit of a woman who thinks she’s god,, a Marxist white hating black man who can’t wait to talk to our enemies, even calls his own grandma a racist in front of the world to cover his own sorry rear end,, and a RINO who wants to be loved by both!

Ah, spare me the liberal blame game. The Republicans aer as responsible for the horrible place this country is in (and the horrible place Iraq is in) as much as anybody. You’re self-righteousness is pathetic. You smeared Ron Paul because he told the truth, and now you’re smearing Obama because you’re jealous that you presidential candidate won’t be able to hold a candle to him, unless he does the only thing that Republicans have become good at and that is playing the fear game: the jihadists are coming! the jihadists are coming! Funny how frightened jingoists tend to be.

“Truth is,” Keemo, I wouldn’t vote for Obama in a million years. I’m a registered Republican. But the party has become an embarrassment which deserves to lose. The country needs something different than lying Republicans for the next four to eight years. I also wouldn’t vote for McCain if you paid me — which is exactly what Bush is doing this spring when he sends Americans his “rebate.” Well, thanks a f-ing lot you idiot. After ruining the economy he plans to buy us off. This is fiscal conservatism. Much like the other supposed conservatism that has got this country nowhere in 8 years.

So long, Republicans. I’m sitting this one out. I think like Albert Jay Nock did in the 20s, since there is no good living candidate this Fall, I’ll vote for a good dead one: Robert Taft.

Drum on March 19, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Um…. The jihadists did come, not only to America, but to Spain, Great Britain, France, Russia, and dozens of other countries where innocent civilians have been slaughtered at the hands of jihadists.

I’m a registered Conservative… If you choose to leave the Republican Party, so be it. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass. Republicans have been wrong on many issues, and have fallen prey to corruption and human weaknesses; many from this party deserve to be removed permanently and have been. More work needs to be done. But to hand this country over to sworn American haters; well, that is as insane as failing to recognize the threat that the jihadists have brought to our shores, as well as the threat posed to freedom, democracy, and human rights.

Keemo on March 19, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Far to many of you “Ron Paul” supporters displayed the same anger, bitterness, & hatred that Liberals have put on display for the past few decades. Ron Paul has many things right; however, the man also has some really nutty ideas and visions.

Regarding the GWOT…. An enemy of America put into plan an attack on innocent civilians in key locations on American soil. Over the past (5) years, America (and other countries) have made things perfectly clear. Attack the American homeland, and we will hunt you down and kill you dead; we will kill your leaders as well as your foot soldiers; if you happen to be a leader of a country that pays for and provides support for such operations, we just might become a “pain in your neck”…. What lessons can be learned from this experience; attack America while America is ruled by a man with pride & courage, and you will face a battle that will destroy everything you have; the American military is a force that will hunt you down and kill you, no country or military will be capable of stopping the American military from reaching it’s goals once set into motion by a strong leader.

Keemo on March 19, 2008 at 11:39 AM

Attack the American homeland, and we will hunt you down and kill you dead

Well, clearly this isn’t true, because our own fearmonger in chief admitted that Osama ceased to be the target of our retribution. Instead, he decided to give jihadists a place and excuse to continue killing Americans.

That’s quite some conservative form of defending America.

And tell me, since when has there been a Conservative Party with which to register?

Good…then the “flypaper” strategy seems to be working. I prefer to have the jihadists flocking to Iraq to face American soldiers which are armed to the teeth and seem to relish the challenge, god bless them.

The people who are going to vote for Obama don’t care about his pastor. Not even the voters who are still in Hillary’s camp. They don’t care about anything his wife might say either. Alot of them hold the same views, I would imagine.
What was known about Bill Clinton before he was nominated and then elected? Gennifer Flowers, at least. And after all of the scandal and shame he put us through, they are more than willing to vote for his corrupt wife, should Obama lose the nomination.
The Faithful couldn’t care less.

Badger91 is absolutely right. You Drum, on the other hand, believe it’s honorable to have mindless drones steer planes into buildings killings thousands of innocent people. I don’t recall Pres. Bush stating Osama has ceased to be a target. (Guess I missed that memo)
Newt has got a huge point. If Obama feels the way he says, he is a coward. If he did sit in that pew for 20 years without responding, I don’t want him sitting in the oval office protecting my family.

THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven’t heard much from him. And I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don’t know where he is. I — I’ll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban.

So in other words, you’re one of those who believe that OBL is the “head of the snake”, and once the head has been removed, the body will simply die… Reality check here; this monster is not a snake, this monster is pure evil and resides in the souls of millions upon millions. This monster will not die from war casualties alone, this monster can only be beaten permanently by way of human freedom; this enemy know this which is why they have sent their foot soldiers to Iraq and Afghanistan. This enemy fears human freedom more than they fear the US Military.

AP summed it up, Obama didn’t see anything wrong with the words until he was made to answer for them..

Sorry for not giving credit to the above comment as I couldn’t find the person’s original post. Below is freevillage’s response to the above comment:

I think this is an assumption on AP’s part. In my judgment, clearly a false one. He didn’t think it was wise to bring them up to light until absolutely necessary.

freevillage on March 18, 2008 at 9:30 PM

Freevillage I must honestly say that is probably one of the most absurd responses I’ve ever seen on HA, including from the other trolls here. Your comment basically proves Obama is dishonest, why else would he think it unwise to “bring them up to light until absolutely necessary” as you state?

Seriously, think about what you’re saying. If what Rev Wright was saying wasn’t wrong, hateful, and racist then why on earth would Obama have to be concerned with not bringing them “up to light until absolutely necessary” unless what the Rev Wright was spewing was in fact hateful, racist, and wrong? Also, if Obama doesn’t believe what the pastor was saying was wrong then why go to the trouble of making a big speech about it? The only conclusion I can come with is Obama is a fraud, a liar, and he is not about unity especially when it comes to race issues or Obama wouldn’t have attended Rev Wright’s sermons for more than 20 years!

If I were a public figure running for POTUS and I went to a racist church where the pastor spews such things I wouldn’t want it to come “up to light” either, which is what Obama had hoped wouldn’t happen, but it did and he (Obama) has been exposed for what he really is; a race baiting, lying, America hating bigot that won’t have ALL AMERICAN’s best interest in mind, but instead will only have his own racist and tainted philosophy and agenda’s best interest in mind, and that agenda and philosophy is right in line with Rev Wright’s “how terrible and oppressive America and “whitey” are…and G-D America!”

If you (freevillage) can’t see through Obama’s BS then you are either a fool, young and naive, can’t tell the difference from Shiite and shine-olla, or all of the above, I’m guessing all of the above!

Liberty or Death on March 19, 2008 at 7:01 PM

If you (freevillage) can’t see through Obama’s BS then you are either a fool, young and naive, can’t tell the difference from Shiite and shine-olla, or all of the above, I’m guessing all of the above!

Liberty or Death on March 19, 2008 at 7:01 PM

You nailed it Liberty or Death; your entire post nails it.

Obama is not a uniter by any sense of the imagination. Obama is a divider; his wife, his pastor, many other key figures in his life are racist to the core. The “hatred of white people” will prove to be the campaign killer. Obama is on the defense for good reason, hatred is hatred no matter what make-up you put on it. Hatred of your own country is not what the American people wish to have as a leader.

Keemo on March 20, 2008 at 8:50 AM

While Obama is busy defending the hatred of white people; defending placing blame for everything evil on the USA; John McCain is busy talking about the “real” world we live in today…

“If Hamas/Hizbullah succeeds here, they are going to succeed everywhere, not only in the Middle East, but everywhere. Israel isn’t the only enemy,” Arizona Sen. McCain said, in the only interview he is giving to the Israeli media during his visit here.

“They are dedicated to the extinction of everything that the US, Israel and the West believe and stand for. So America does have an interest in what happens here, far above and beyond our alliance with the State of Israel.”

“I think Iran is a threat to the region,” McCain said, adding that not only were the Iranians “obviously pursuing nuclear weapons,” they were also arming and training extremists to send into Iraq, supporting Hizbullah and influencing Syria.

“At the end of the day, we can still not afford to have Iran with nuclear weapons,” he said. “We know they have ambitions that are not just aimed at the State of Israel.”

These ambitions included “destabilization of the entire region upon which the United States’ national security interests rest,” he said.

Keemo on March 20, 2008 at 9:14 AM

While Obama is busy telling the American people (as well as the enemies of America) that the Iraq policy has been the biggest failure in American history, others are stating the obvious…

“The surge has done more than turn the situation in Iraq around — it has opened the door to a major strategic victory in the broader war on terror. For the terrorists, Iraq was supposed to be the place where al Qaeda rallied Arab masses to drive America out. Instead, Iraq has become the place where Arabs joined with Americans to drive al Qaeda out. In Iraq, we are witnessing the first large-scale Arab uprising against Osama bin Laden, his grim ideology, and his murderous network. And the significance of this development cannot be overstated. The terrorist movement feeds on a sense of inevitability, and claims to rise on the tide of history. The accomplishments of the surge in Iraq are exposing this myth and discrediting the extremists. When Iraqi and American forces finish the job, the effects will reverberate far beyond Iraq’s borders. Osama bin Laden once said: “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.” By defeating al Qaeda in Iraq, we will show the world that al Qaeda is the weak horse.”

Gee, I wonder which American political party represents the “weak horse”…

OBL has been reduced to making vague threats from a cave ’somewhere’. He once masterminded attrocious attacks against civilian populations. Today, he can’t stick his nose outside of his cave, and spends his days railing against cartoons. Cartoons…..how the mighty have fallen.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

DngrMse on March 20, 2008 at 9:55 AM

It’s pretty simple, really. Obama is either a coward for not protesting these vile beliefs- and they are the pastor’s beliefs, not merely “cherry picked comments”. Or Obama is a liar for saying he didn’t know about them or wasn’t there in the pew when they were said at least.
So which is it Barak? Are you a liar or a coward? Both?

jimbo2008 on March 20, 2008 at 2:40 PM

Much, if not most, of our current political mess is due to language. As in: we’ve allowed the Left to utterly dominate our vocabulary and decide what terms mean what. Thus, in 2008 you can be as racist and reactionary as you please, but you will politely be called a “progressive” by both your fellow travelers and by the timid hearts on the other side, as long as you are also a socialist. The current state of political terminology is completely up and down, and that’s why it’s basically impossible for anyone to make sense of politics.

Obama and Hillary are, in the true sense of the word, reactionaries. Pretending otherwise, out of intimidation or politeness, does no one any good, except Obama and Hillary. I wish Newt, and the few others like him who are on the brave side about speaking truth to Democrats, would adopt terms more in line with reality. “Conservative” is progressive; “progressive” is reactionary. Everyone knows it, but no one will say it.

Halley on March 20, 2008 at 4:08 PM

McCain is a true patriot and a brave man.

It takes some bravery and patriotism to get in bed with Ted Kennedy, Lindsay “wuss boy” Graham, NCLR, MALDEF, LULAC, ACORN, the SPLC, the mexican govermment, big labor unions, etc. and grant amnesty to 20 million criminals who kill American citizens every day of the week and take our jobs.
