Video: “Barack Obama-sistible”

Easily the best campaign song I’ve ever heard and likely to remain that way until Tay Zonday gets in the game. Light years better than Pearl Jam’s offering, needless to say.

I’m thinking of voting for him now, but I have this theory that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by the U.S. government and “the Jew” to reestablish their hold over the white power structure and I’m not sure if I’d be welcome in the tent. Oh, I would? Oh, cool. Cool.

Update: Slublog e-mails to report that the esteemed Mr. Zonday is, in fact, a moonbat.

Barack and the band are both sistable, IMO. Three chords over and over and over.

horatio on March 18, 2008 at 3:10 PM

White America created Robert Palmer and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Exurban Jon on March 18, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Whisky! Tango! Fox-efin-TROT!

ronsfi on March 18, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Robert Palmer it isn’t.

Are white bands allowed to perform in Obama’s church?

(huh)

Hening on March 18, 2008 at 3:12 PM

Stupid-sistible.

Brat on March 18, 2008 at 3:12 PM

By the way. Where is it written that musicians must forgo rudimentary hygiene? If is was a dog I would bury the entire band.

ronsfi on March 18, 2008 at 3:13 PM

gag

upinak on March 18, 2008 at 3:14 PM

I’ve asked this before, and I’ll ask it again: Why do you hate us, Allah?

aero on March 18, 2008 at 3:16 PM

Is that not Seth Green?

benjamin on March 18, 2008 at 3:18 PM

OMG. lame.

Total fail.

Chakra Hammer on March 18, 2008 at 3:20 PM

It’s a comedy piece. The lead singer is one of Conan Obrien’s regular cast members (maybe a writer? Afraid I don’t know his name). I expect they’re just trying to poke fun at the whole internet campaign-song phenomenon.

Blacklake on March 18, 2008 at 3:20 PM

Umm, yeah. This is awful-sistible. The worst part is that I’ll be tempted to add sistible to every word for the foreseeable future.

MarkoMancuso on March 18, 2008 at 3:22 PM

You guys seriously don’t find this funny? I was cracking up at the idiotic -sistible suffixes being added to all the lines.

Allahpundit on March 18, 2008 at 3:22 PM

The guys in the band must be gayistible.

Roger Waters on March 18, 2008 at 3:23 PM

Resist!

Buy Danish on March 18, 2008 at 3:24 PM

Allahpundit on March 18, 2008 at 3:22 PM

Not for me. I found it to be painful-sistible.

MarkoMancuso on March 18, 2008 at 3:24 PM

How True! The Pastor may not have been on the MSM Nightly News, but this sure will be!

Oxybeles on March 18, 2008 at 3:24 PM

Allahpundit on March 18, 2008 at 3:22 PM

Rac-sistable!

Allahpundit on March 18, 2008 at 3:22 PM

I thought it was funny…and depressing in its patheticness.

Yeah, totally. I’m coming over since a certain Texas congressman has dropped out and B.O. is the only candidate left that isn’t part of the international neoconservative bilderberg serbian jew double bluff conspiracy group.

malan89 on March 18, 2008 at 3:27 PM

funny-sistible and lame-sistible

Kini on March 18, 2008 at 3:30 PM

The gurgling of a newborn is more thoughtful and inspiring. I blame vapid repetitious drivel on the US of KKKA, and not throwing enough money at public education. Go, Obama.

Dusty on March 18, 2008 at 3:30 PM

I thought it was stupid-funny.

Like “Anchorman.”

Slublog on March 18, 2008 at 3:31 PM

Have to quote from Buffy the Vampire Slayer on this one:

OZ: Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven *completely* different chords.

Devon: That’s just, like, fruity jazz bands.

“Three chords and the truth.” Bono has donated that line to the Democratic Party.

NeighborhoodCatLady on March 18, 2008 at 3:33 PM

This video = pretty suckish…definitely not funny.

Easily the best campaign song I’ve ever heard and likely to remain that way until Tay Zonday gets in the game.

It is true…anything that our boy Tay belts out on the campaign is going to trump all that came before it. But “Hillary4U&Me” is lightyears ahead of this crap.

malan89 on March 18, 2008 at 3:33 PM

A true basement band! They are funny in a strange Wayne’s World way kind of way. I’m not worthy, I’m not worthy! I was just missing the models and it does have a good beat for white people to dance to.

flytier on March 18, 2008 at 3:33 PM

Ghey……ghey……totally ghey……Liberace ghey.

You beat me to the Buffy quote! Good one!!!!

flytier on March 18, 2008 at 3:35 PM

When does “Cherry Chocolate Obama” by Tay Zonday drop?

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on March 18, 2008 at 3:41 PM

Sorry.

Not a real band.

EVERYBODY knows that only fat guys are allowed to play bass.

MT
aka the fat guy playing bass

Mistahtibbs on March 18, 2008 at 3:42 PM

Simply Crap-istible.

saltydogg14 on March 18, 2008 at 3:46 PM

Oh yeah,

Clearly a parody of those stupid viral campaign songs.
Hit the Youtube page for this song and you’ll find a link to a “making of” behind the scenes clip.

Funny stuff.

I have another line….

“His pastor is rascist-able”

That line inspired by Lorien1973’s post above at 1526 hours.

It just…flows so well.

Mistahtibbs on March 18, 2008 at 3:47 PM

Now here is a group of guys that I would never play scrabble with. Lessee, obamasistable, triple word score, double letter scores. I think I will have to consult my Dictionistble. (lame attempt at Mike Birbiglia comedy)

I can’t believe they actually ended with a “WHOOOH-YEA”

Even more amazing, I can’t believe I listened to the whole thing.

badpenguin on March 18, 2008 at 3:47 PM

I think I just puked a little in my mouth …

Ludwig on March 18, 2008 at 3:50 PM

Dumb. That’s all.

“EVERYBODY knows that only fat guys are allowed to play bass.”

Roger Waters plays bass. Paul McCartney plays bass.

Sorry, your theory works as well reasoned as Obama’s spiritual leader.

Roger Waters on March 18, 2008 at 4:00 PM

I loved it and I think Robert Palmer is smiling down on those dudes. I don’t even care if they’re serious…no one will take them seriously if they are.

Christine on March 18, 2008 at 4:06 PM

The keyboard player must have died of boredom. I think he only played one chord, and one small riff during the chorus.

Bigfoot on March 18, 2008 at 4:26 PM

I think this one will connect with the “white man’s overbite”-afflicted demographic.

Sometimes “fat” is a state of mind… or ego…or bank account or….um…. what was I talking about again?

RW, you DO realize I was goofing….right? ;-)

This guy wasn’t as kind to Mike Huckabee:

Vincenzo on March 18, 2008 at 5:54 PM

Ok, the -sistibles were pretty funny but over all, an unecessary butchery of a classic, if silly song.

austinnelly on March 18, 2008 at 6:29 PM

Yes, I realize you were goofing. :0)

Roger Waters on March 18, 2008 at 6:59 PM

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

Vigilante on March 18, 2008 at 7:16 PM

The unshaven, veggi burrito, B.O. stench is overpowersistable.

The Ugly American on March 18, 2008 at 7:20 PM

Is that not Seth Green?

benjamin on March 18, 2008 at 3:18 PM

Me too.

The Ugly American on March 18, 2008 at 7:22 PM

I wonder if all those white people who just swoon over Mr Obama- sistble understand enough to be feeling really stupid – sitable right now…hehehe…

CCRWM on March 18, 2008 at 9:32 PM

I don’t dare watch the video on the grounds of personal taste, but I do have to say that Allah’s second paragraph is the most eminently quotable thing I’ve read today.

Cylor on March 18, 2008 at 10:08 PM

They beat me to it, I was about to release a list of Obama accomplishments, set to music. I’m having some trouble with the lyrics.

2Tru2Tru on March 18, 2008 at 11:39 PM

Cute in a stupid way, but probably a bad choice to parody, since the original lyrics include:

“[H]e compromised my principle” and “You’re obliged to conform when theres no other course.”
