Noticed the other day, though, how the liberal wing of the FNC line-up was in full-up faux horror at the Pesky Preacher.

As in former civil-rights litigator Greta intoning low-voiced, furrow-browed worry over the “hostility” of the Preacher’s gospel, and getting an old legal sidekick (black, natch: “we’re like brother and sister, aren’t we?”) to conduct a phony investigation into the church by attending it last Sunday.

And who does this now-FOX producer Tod Sullivan choose to discuss Wright’s racist theology with as a seemingly random parishioner of the church: why, we see again the good Dr. Dwight N. Hopkins of the University of Chicago Divinity School, who is another nationally prominent proponent of that self-same a-hatin’ effluvium of Black Liberation Theology flung from the pulpit of that church!

Or slick Shep emphasizing Wright as Obama’s “former” pastor; doesn’t he know the guy still privately counsels the Messiah on matters of faith, by the oozy O’s own account?

As for sullied Sully, I used to read him in the immediate aftermath of 9-11, and even supported his musings. Then noticed the change in tune after Bush busted his dreams of a wedding song for him and his dude. Now clearly, he’s been rear-ended so often his butt has emerged in his brain.

I can’t tell if you jest.

I’m the type of person who believes in the Golden Rule. Do unto others, as you would have done unto you. If you truly want color blindness, then you must also be color blind. I don’t think it’s a strange new concept. If I have not imposed slavery unto you, then do not impose the guilt unto me.

Thanks, and yes, I took it as justification… as in, “well, the jews do too.” Still doesn’t excuse the constant hammering I hear from mostly black folks who make the news…

I will clearly state that I have never owned a slave, wanted a slave, or will ever own a slave. Now can we talk about something else, Barry? I don’t have a healthy dose of that “white guilt” we’re supposed to have, but, hey, that’s probably because I’m only half white.

Human communication consists of lots of things. Like facial expression, body position, hand movements etc. Can’t see those in posts. I didn’t read that into your post but I can see where someone could tke it that way. Also people have been know to jump to really strange conclusions from the most innocuous comment. Hard to tell sometimes.

Let me tell you there are many jews who believe they should be compensated for the Holocaust, blacks aren’t the only ones.

I missed Obama’s speech, as well as the pundits reactions. From the comments I have read so far, it looks like the discussion is on race. If so that is good for Obama. I mentioned yesterday that if Obama could make this a black/white issue instead of love America/hate American debate he could survive. It is the anti-American rhetoric that should be on display. It’s pretty much black and white to me. Both an absence of color. It what people do with their blackness and whiteness. There are a lot of white people I wouldn’t let in my school, hire for my company.
